Chapter 61 Chapter 61: Mrs. Winchester's Disappointment

Chapter 61 Chapter 61: Mrs. Winchester's Disappointment
Selena used all her strength to push the man pinning her down, but to no avail. Even since taking the knife for Kelly, her ability to teleport had vanished, leaving her no different from an ordinary person now.

Faced with such a strong man, all she could do was fight back with everything she had.

"Let go of me, bastard!"

The man didn’t let go. He buried his face in her neck, inhaling deeply.

Selena felt a wave of nausea rise in her throat. She hated being touched like this by a stranger.

"You’ve been well taken care of by Balthazar, huh? The moment you walked in, my little chili down there was already rock hard."

"Let go, you scumbag! Help me!"

Selena screamed in the hopes that a server or anyone passing by would save her, but the man covered her mouth, laughing lewdly:

"Shh! If you scream and Balthazar comes in, he might leave you, you know. Ah!"

Selena bit down hard on his hand, pushing him off, and took the chance to run toward the door.

"You bitch!"

The man lunged, grabbing her hair and yanking her backward. He slapped her hard before dragging her back to the sofa.

Rip!

Her shoulder strap tore off, revealing her smooth, firm chest. Seeing the two nipple covers on her breasts, the man grinned lustfully.

"You’re so beautiful, no wonder Balthazar kept you hidden away. I wonder if that tight little hole of yours will make a man lose his mind?"

As he spoke, his hands roughly squeezed her breasts. Tears streamed down Selena’s face, and at this moment, she desperately wished Balthazar would come to save her.

Bang!

The door was kicked open, and Balthazar stormed in.

"You bastard!"

He shouted and yanked the man off Selena.

"I’m going to kill you!"

Balthazar charged at the man, his fists pounding into him. Mrs. Winchester also rushed into the room. Seeing Selena's disheveled, nearly naked state, she quickly draped her own coat over the girl.

Selena, still trembling, leaned into Mrs. Winchester’s embrace. Mrs. Winchester neither scolded nor questioned her about what had just happened, because she knew the man had tricked Selena into the room, and it wasn’t her fault.

"There, there. Don’t be scared, I’m here now."

Meanwhile, Balthazar continued to beat the man, who, unable to defend himself, could only beg for mercy:

"Balthazar, listen to me! She seduced me first. I’m the victim here…"

Hearing that only made Balthazar angrier. He punched the man harder, shouting:

"Your mother—! You tricked Selena into thinking I was here, and the moment she walked in, you pulled this disgusting stunt, and now you dare say she seduced you? Die!"

The man endured Balthazar’s fury, and Mrs. Winchester, fearing that someone might get killed, urged Balthazar to stop. Just then, there was a commotion outside the door, and Mrs. Winchester quickly got up to shut it.

Although Selena was the victim, if word got out, her reputation would be tarnished. Especially since she was a streamer, letting a scumbag ruin her budding career would be a huge injustice.

The man, seeing Balthazar had stopped, stammered:

"Balthazar, this isn’t my fault. She’s a loose woman, always seducing people. I thought that was her job, so I lost control. Please, as a brother, let this go."

He couldn’t believe Balthazar would turn his back on him over a high class call-girl, especially when they were working with his family.

But his words shocked Mrs. Winchester, though she largely didn’t believe it. How could Selena be a prostitute?

Sure enough, Balthazar grabbed the man by his collar and yelled:

"She’s my girlfriend, my fiancée! Not some prostitute, you hear me?"

The man wasn’t willing to give up and continued:

"Didn't you say that you were financially supporting her? And I heard from the other rich boys that she was a bar girl. She targeted you and seduced you, but who knew she’d end up flying high like a phoenix and becoming your girlfrend?"

This man was John White, the spoiled son of a major domestic enterprise. He used to hang out with Balthazar. After that time when Balthazar brought Selena to drink with the group, John had wanted to have sex with her ever since.

But after that night, when Balthazar dragged her away drunk, John hadn’t seen her again until today at the party, where he finally had a chance to admire her again.

Seeing that both Balthazar and his mother had acknowledged her, John decided to take her by force before she became Balthazar’s wife. Just the thought of having sex with the future wife of the chairman of W, the world's leading corporation, made him so excited that his hair stood on end.

That’s why John didn’t care about the consequences and staged this whole charade.

Mrs. Winchester now understood that John’s words had some truth to them. She pushed Selena away and stood up, looking at her with disappointment.

It wasn’t Selena’s previous profession that bothered her, but her character.

Selena raised her head to meet Mrs. Winchester’s confused gaze, but she quickly realized what was happening. Mrs. Winchester’s expression showed disdain now that she knew Selena had been a hostess.

Selena wanted to explain that she had never worked as a prostitute, but the words stuck in her throat. How could she admit that she had only pretended to be a bar girl to get close to Balthazar?

"Shut up!"

Balthazar raised his hand, about to hit John again, but Mrs. Winchester stopped him. She said:

"Stop. Don’t hit him anymore. Go talk to his parents. I’m tired. I’ll head home first."

She gave Selena one last glance before walking out without looking back.

Selena thought she had grown used to the scornful looks of others, but for some reason, she felt utterly crushed now. Perhaps it was because she knew she was about to lose someone who genuinely cared for her.
Mrs. Winchester left in a huff, and Balthazar held Selena close as they left the party. The guests sensed something amiss but could only continue mingling, their curiosity piqued.

Though he was the host of the event, the absence of Balthazar wasn’t too much of an issue.
