ALTHEA
I walked into the room, wearing my nightgown. I froze in my place when I found Alexander lying in the bed. “What's wrong? Why do you look like you might have seen me naked in the shower, releasing myself while moaning your name?” My cheeks instantly turned red as I heard him. He had been teasing me a lot lately. And it had started to do its business on me as well. His words could easily turn me on.
I didn't answer him. I narrowed my head and pushed a lock of my hair behind my ear. I heard him chuckle and I could picture him shaking his head. He walked toward me and grabbed my hands. “Relax! I was just teasing you. I know exactly what made you blush all of a sudden.” He whispered softly in my ear then kissed my temple.
I was hesitant when he pulled me to the bed. He sat down on the edge. I sat down beside him. “There is no doubt that I want you so bad. But I'm not stupid. I can't ask you to sleep with me until you are ready for it. I can understand your hesitation. I know it's because of how I used to behave with you.” I didn't know what to say to him but he was right. I was afraid that he might go cold with me again once he got what he wanted.
“I thought we would be sleeping in separate bedrooms. You know, since it's…” before I could complete the sentence, the thunder crack literally fell in front of our balcony, making me jump from where I sat. “...not raining anymore…” I completed the sentence with a pout.
His eyes were instantly sad when he heard me. “I never really wanted to force you. I didn't realize you were being forced to share bed with me due to the circumstances.” I slapped myself mentally for barking out loud. Yes, it still felt awkward to sleep with him on the same bed. But it wasn't like he was forcing me or anything.
His fear of the thunderstorm was related to his parent's death. He was about to get up when I held onto his index finger. He stopped and looked at me. “No one is forcing me, I am sleeping in the same bed with you because I want to. And I am also afraid of thunder.” I whispered, staring into his eyes.
I could swear I heard his heart pouring hard against his rib cage. Then he sat down on the bed again. Breathing heavily, I arched my neck when he cupped the side of my face. I closed my eyes as it was agonizing, watching him getting closer inch by inch.
Alexander was kissing me. It was not the first kiss but I had no idea why each and every single kiss that I shared with him felt like it was the very first one. Something that was out of the books with fantasizing romance.
