ALTHEA

Almost right after the sunset, the door opened and Alpha Collin stepped into the house. I stayed in the kitchen for longer. I knew he would go straight to his bedroom. Or so I thought. His footsteps were faint. So I started setting the table for him. Suddenly, goosebumps rose on my skin and I knew that he was standing behind me. Gulping hard, I turned around. I found him standing by the entrance of the kitchen.

“What is all this? Didn't I tell you to be ready by the time I get home?” I gulped hard when I heard his question.

I hated that fucking mask on his face. The reason I couldn't read his face at all. “Beta Braxton suggested I cook dinner tonight. You were upset and…” before I could continue, I found him standing right in front of me. I didn't know how fast it was. Because he was before me within the blink of an eye.

“Braxton, huh! Is he your mate? Are you not supposed to listen to me? Am I not your alpha?” Alpha Collin was growling at me and I was literally trying to figure out if I was supposed to breathe or answer him first.

I had the water bottle sitting on the counter right behind me. And I was thankful that I didn't put it back in the refrigerator on time. I grabbed it and showed it to him. “Alpha, please. You are getting angry for no reason. And you are scaring me. Please, drink some water.” I whispered, holding the bottle before his face.

He grabbed the bottle from my hand. I sighed in relief that lasted thirty seconds. Because Alpha Collin threw the bottle on the ground and grabbed me by my neck. “What do you think of me, huh? I don't take orders from anyone.” He was choking me, growling at me like an animal.

I could look into his eyes and I saw my nightmares surfacing. “When I tell you, push him with all your strength and run like hell.” It was Talia who suddenly came to my rescue. I was surprised to hear her voice. Because I actually thought she was gone the last time she helped me.

“Now, Althea!” She screamed in my head. With all my strength, I placed both of my hands on Alpha Collin's chest and pushed him off of me. Then I ran without looking back. I was able to grab the bottle of water from the ground. I went straight to my bedroom. But I slipped on the way. And he was right behind me.

I had no other way but to go to his bedroom. I went inside and locked the bedroom door. I really thought that we were making progress. But he was at it again and I didn't know how to save myself from him. Talia was quiet again. I couldn't even get her to help me again.

I couldn't stop my tears as I prayed to the moon goddess to help me out of the situation I was in. I almost screamed my lung out when he started banging on the door. “This door can't save you, sweet bun. You either open up right now or be ready for the consequences. Because I will have no mercy at all if I break this door.” As if banging wasn't enough, he was threatening me as well.

“Alpha, please. Drink the water. You are angry. You are scaring me.” I tried to reason with him, hoping he would listen. My voice was filled with terror I was feeling at that time. Last time he was this angry, he ended up breaking my arm.

“Alpha! Alpha please! Don't hurt me. Please, let me go.” I begged him, but he didn't stop twisting my arm.

“Let you go! So you want me to let you go so easily. You make a mistake, you get punished.” He whispered in my ear, yet his words were so wicked, it sent shivers to my spine.

“Please, alpha. I will behave from now on. I will not try to run. Please, don't do this. You are hurting me.” I begged him again. But he had no mercy.

I watched his smirk turn into something twisted and mischievous. I screamed in pain when he broke my forearm. He broke the bone right in the middle, splitting it in half. “You betray me, and I will make your life a fucking living hell.” He growled in my ear before he pushed me on the ground and walked away.

I could never forget that day. It was more painful than how Alexander used to punch me like I was a doll to him. I gasped loudly when he suddenly broke the door's lock. I tried to run again but he caught me on his bed. He pinned me down with one hand and with the other, he took his shirt off with ease. Almost tore it off. “Alpha, I submit to you. I am doing what you asked me to do, take a sip. You asked me to do this. Please, alpha.” The word submit sure landed somewhere.

He grabbed the bottle from my hand and drowned it all in one go. He threw the bottle on the ground and he was on top of me again. He kissed me first. More like forcing it on me. I was struggling to breathe but he wouldn't let go.

When he finally pulled away, he was biting and sucking the skin of my neck. I might be a warrior but he was an alpha and my wolf could barely help me push him away once in a year. That's all she could do. I couldn't even blame her.

Somewhere in that fight, in between moans and my screams for him to stop, I started sobbing in the same arms that were harming me. Tears started flowing freely from my eyes. My sobs went louder. He suddenly stopped.

We were both breathing heavily. He pulled away, looking into my eyes. It was enough for me to push him off of me and run away. I went straight to my bedroom. I locked myself inside. Curling up on the ground, I let both my anger and sorrows pour out.

“Althea! Open the door please.” His voice was laced with concern.

“Go away! Leave me alone. Please, you have done enough already.” I screamed from inside, not caring anymore that I might hurt his ego again.

I couldn't stop shaking. And every single time he knocked on the door, I felt my soul leaving my body but I knew he couldn't get into that room. He made sure he wouldn't, even if he was angry or in his wolf form.
