Chapter 64 Out For Blood

Chapter 64 Out For Blood
Okay, so this guy needs his head checked. Maybe if I had a baseball bad handy I could do that for him. Just split his brains open on the ground and look to see where the synapses didn't connect. I think I'd deserve a medal for it. This bastard doesn't deserve anything better.

"I don't care if you think she's nothing, because in all honestly, she's the best thing that's ever happened to me, and because you were an asshole and kept her from me, I've been miserable for over a decade!" Rick raises his voice. "I could've been happy, dammit! I never would've touched the damn drugs! Never touched another girl, because she's the own I wanted, and you fucking knew it!"

I look up at the man who captured my heart, and I can see the tears of fury he's holding back as he crushes me to him. Poor Rick.

On instinct, I stand on my toes and place a soft kiss along his jaw. For a moment, he froze, then melted, just before taking my mouth in his. His kiss is fierce and demanding. His hands are all over me. I'm pretty sure he's doing this purely to prove a point or his father, and this once, I'll let him.

I hear a snarl coming from our audience. Rick finally pulls back and places a soft kiss on my nose. "Thanks little dancer," he whispers with a wink, before facing his father.

"Leave, Richard!" Dean demands, taking a threatening step closer.

"You think that scares me any more , old man? I stopped caring about your abuse years ago. I'm stronger and younger than you. Get the hell outta here Dean. You have no business here!" Rick demands.

"The hell you know! This is my business. My business is to keep you far away from this little slut! Go play with your dancers!" Dean rages like a madman. "You don't need to stick with one! You could have a million... Or if you insist on having one, I'll find one worthy of you!"

"For your information, I'm done with that shit, Dean. And I'm done following your rules. Now get the hell out of here!" Rick steps forward, pushing me behind him. "Josie is mine. I'm going to make her my wife. And there's not a damn thing you can do about it!"

"You really wanna do this, Rick?" Dean chuckles darkly. "You think picking the little tramp will do you any favors? She's gonna do what every damn woman ever does. She'll steal you heart, your money, your bed, and leave you high and dry!"

What the hell is the talking about? Not every woman is like that. Maybe the one's he wants, because he probably treated them all like shit. Even his own wife! But that doesn't mean every woman on earth is just a plaything, or a player for that matter. I want nothing more than to bash that bastard in the nose. I just want to see blood... Preferably his. He totally deserved it!

"You have no idea what you are talking about. Josie isn't one of the girls you pull into a bed and just fuck. She's the kinda girl you plan your whole damn life around! Just turn and leave," Rick hissed through is teeth.

Something in the middle of that heated statement set my heart pounding in my chest. Is that really what he feels for me? I'm hoping like hell he's not just saying it to piss off his dad!

"You don't get it do you? You can't have her. I've thrown all those girls at you to keep you away from her. She wasn't never good enough for you," Dean smirked. "Look at this filthy little bitch. She'll never amount to anything! Just use her and get rid of her," he sneers.

"You're wrong. The night you brought me to watch Josie dance? I fell in love with her right then, and like an idiot I believed you. I believed she wasn't worth it. But I was wrong. And so were you! And then we left when she was in pain. I'm never going to forgive you for stealing her away from me," Rick growled lowly.

"And yet, you still did what I told you to do. Now I'm going to disown you if you don't-"

"If you are going to fight, Mr. Kingston, take it outside," Hailey states coming in from the back, glaring right at Dean. Her arms are folded across her chest and there's a steely look in her eyes. She knows who he is?

Something in his eyes shows recognition and he stiffens, and then he curses under his breath, dragging his fingers through his salt and pepper hair and clenching his teeth.

"Leave my place Mr. Kingston, or I'll call the cops and have you arrested for trespassing and harassment of my employee," She reiterates.

"Leave her alone, Rick. She's not good enough," Dean snarls, his look so filled with disgust it turned my stomach.
