Chapter 251 Busy Day
God, I love this girl! The second she stepped from the room tonight, my heart froze. I've never seen her looking so lovely. Not that she's not naturally gorgeous, she is! But this was just the cherry on the top.
I have to say, this has been the craziest night of my life. We'd spend the whole day since we arrived in Vegas practically apart, and I hated it. Not that it wasn't expected. There were things we had to do and it would be stupid to not split up and get them taken care of.
First, we pulled into our hotel, then I was shooed away. I get it! The girls wanted to dress Charlie up and make her pretty for me. And I've gotta say, they did a fantastic job!

That was the strangest thing to think about. Rick Kingston is stinking rich and now he's going to be my brother-in-law! I did not see that coming when I started pining after Charlie. Of course, when I first saw her, she had nothing to do with Rick... At least I didn't know she did until later.

The girls were keeping me away from my bride, and I get it. She needs to get ready. But damn I missed her! Rick had done a good job at keeping me occupied. We even stopped and had a bit to eat while he asked me about school. But even that didn't keep her from my mind.
It's funny, I've been pretty much by her side for over a week and one day away from her makes it hard for me to breathe. I knew she was fine! She was with her sisters, after all. After a long ass afternoon of wandering around, it was finally time to head out and the second I saw Charlie, my breath caught. She looks so damn gorgeous. I love her so much! And to think there was a chance I'd never get this.
I was nervous on the drive to the little chapel. I held her hand, more to calm my own nerves than anything else. I don't regret my choice to marry her at all! This was just really sudden, and yeah, I'm the spur of the moment type of guy, but this is forever... Which is exactly what I wanted.
The moment the preacher announced us, something warm flooded me. We did it! This was a real thing and not just a someday maybe thing. This was now!

We were hugged and congratulated by everyone... Which was just Josie, Rick and Olivia. But it was still good to have some family with us. I still feel guilty about Mom. I'll call her on Saturday... Then I'll have to wait to call her back before she decides to ground me for life for missing out on the 'most important event of my life'...
Rick decided to take the girls sightseeing, and Liv seemed ecstatic about that. I'm pretty sure she's just happy Rick and Josie are keeping her out of school for the next few days. She's going to hate going back home after this...
