Chapter 149 Caged

Chapter 149 Caged
I push through the storm until I come to the turn off for the road I believe I'm looking for. I try to take it slow but slide across the damn road. I hate driving through this damn snow!

Thankfully I haven't crashed. Even with damn chains on these tires, at the speeds I've been pushing, they are pretty useless. I know I'm just ranting about this fucking storm because I need to keep my mind off what Josie is going through. But the moment I find the building; my focus will shift once again to my little dancer.

I slow down, trying to see the numbers on the buildings. Most of them are completely dark and I can't tell. My GPS is giving me nothing! I crawl through the snow, hoping for any sign to let me know I'm at the right place.

But then, there is one with a tiny flickering light on. The numbers are in the shadows, but I can just barely make out the numbers on the building.

155 E. Granet Drive.

I think this is it.

My stomach knots in anticipation. It's finally time! I'm finally here, Josie! Just hold on for a few more minutes and you will be in my arms.

I pull out in front and sigh in relief. Backup is already here. Red and blue flashing lights light up the snow, but there are no sirens. Good! We don't need them to alert my father and his associates. Really, I have no fucking clue how many people are inside.

My team pulling in just behind me, all skidding to a stop. I'm glad I didn't leave them behind. I need my team here with me, even if it's just for emotional support. I'm not the only one who's been worried about Josie!

I open my door and tromp through the piling snow. I lean into the wind and snow, fighting off a shiver. It's fucking freezing out here. Maybe I should leave my car running?

"You Kingston?" An officer I haven't met shouts through the wind. I can barely even hear him. His voice is getting carried away on the wind.

"Yes! Are we ready?" I demand, squinting through the wind and snow. I can see dozens of cops swarming around the building. I'm guessing this storm might actually be a good thing. No one would think they would be found in a storm like this.

But I'm the fucker who is going to take them down when they least expect it.

"We were just waiting for you," He nods.

"Then let's do this!" I wave my arm in the air, giving the signal, letting everyone know it was time to get this over with. There is no way in hell everyone would be able to hear me through the wind.

At that, everyone swarms the building, pushing through multiple exits at the same time. This whole thing reminds me of a rehearsed dance. Everyone moving in unison and working for one common goal.

The pounding off feet is the only noise besides a loud base beat coming from the center of the building. I guess the music is covering the sound of our sneak attack. Thank God for that.

But just what the hell is going on in there? Not that it matters, I'm getting her back either way. I'll figure it out once I see her. Until then, nothing else matters.

I don't think twice.

I storm into the dark room. It's fucking freezing in here.

Startled shouts and screams echo around. Scuffling and struggling men grunt and snarl behind me, but I don't pay them any attention. That's what the cops and my team are for.

My entire focus is on my sweet Josie, center stage in less than underwear. I can see her trembling and sobbing from here. It doesn't take a huge imagination to know just what the fuck my father's twisted mind had in store for her.

A fucking cage? REALLY?! Well, we'll soon find out how much he enjoys being behind bars.

The moment we stormed through the doors and surrounded the bastards; my girl collapsed on the floor. I wanted to catch her, but she was too far.
