Chapter 141 Soon
Not at Josie or Charlie. This is neither of their faults. Likewise, I'm not mad at Liv, they are all the fucking victims! Come to think of it, how the hell did they capture Liv to get to Joise in the first place? She should've been fucking safe at school!
I'm pissed at whoever sent the damn note, putting my family in danger. I'm pissed at whoever the hell took Liv so they could get to Josie! I'm pissed we can't just be happy for more than two seconds without someone trying to tear us apart!
There is no time to waste, I call the police.
"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"
"Yes, I need the cops to meet me at 434 S Harvest Hills Drive. My fiancé has been kidnapped, along with her little sister," I growl. "They are being held for ransom."
I'm not sure that is what is happening. All it says is Josie needs to come to that address alone. It doesn't say anything else. Which is filling me with dread.
"They are on their way, sir," the operator states.
I hang up and place a cautious hand on Charlie's shoulder. "Stay here, I'm bringing your sisters home," I promise.
Charlie nods her head, giving me a brave smile. But I can see the fear in her eyes. She's already had Josie kidnapped and raped, even if it was only for a few hours, those were scary as shit.
I promise myself she won't go through that again! I'm going to find her before anything bad happens to her. She will be safe and sound as soon as I can get to her.
I race back to my car and I drive. The whole fucking time I'm praying Josie is safe and our baby will survive whatever the hell the kidnappers have demanded.
I know my little dancer. She will willingly sacrifice herself as long as she her sisters are safe. Adn while that is noble as shit, it's not okay with me! She should've waited! I would've taken care of it!
I drive a fucking hour in the snow, thankfully it's not so bad yet, but I know the storm is going to hit soon and I need everyone back home and safe by then.
By the time I pull up to the old barn that looks like some scene from a horror movie, the cops are already there and swarming the place.
This is not a good thing. Whatever they are looking for, they haven't found. does that mean Josie and Olivia are gone? I swear, Charlie said I was only a half hour behind!
I jump out of my car and march up to the first officer I see. "Where are they?" I demand.
"Well, Olivia Turner is inside, she just woke up," they state, looking at me with concern. "Who else where you are looking for?"
"Where the hell is Josie?" I demand. "My fiancé was being brave and tried to come save her sister! But she's not here? Where is she?!"
"We haven't found a Josie, and the girl is still groggy. She hasn't told us what happened yet," they explain.
I push past the cop and storm into the barn. It's fucking dark in here, but at least I can see Olivia. She is sitting on a chair with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders.
"Liv! Where the hell is your sister?" I demand, kneeling down in front of her. Her eyes seem heavy an unable to focus. What the hell did they give her?
Liv sleepily shakes her head. "I don't know... I just woke up. I don't even know if she came," she mumbles. "I woke up when a cop came up to me and shook me, asking me if I was okay."
"OF COURSE SHE FUCKING CAME FOR YOU! CHARLIE GAVE HER THE RANSOM NOTE AND SHE CAME BECASUE SHE FUCKING LOVES YOU! AND NOW SHE'S GONE!" I really don't mean to rage at the girl, like I said, I know this is not her fault!
Olivia shrinks back from me as tears race down her face.
Shit!
I really gotta reign it in before she breaks down and cries.
"I'm sorry, Liv. Let's get you home. We'll see if Jeff can find her before the cops do," I sigh, reaching under her and pulling her into my arms.
She's actually heavier than Josie, I note. I suppose she hasn't been starved most of her life like her sister. It was always Josie Beth punished, not Liv.
I place her in the passenger seat and drive like hell through the snow, trying to stay calm.
We found her once; we will find her again.
Hold on, little dancer. We'll get to you soon!
