Chapter Nineteen
“Frank, Jared, please just let her leave and I will come back to deal for you.” Ewan begins. “Please just let her go unharmed and I promise I’ll do whatever you want.”
Ada looks up at Ewan in astonishment, before resting her eyes on the other two in the room in worry. Would they really hurt me?
His brother wore a malevolent smirk as he walked towards the pair and grabbed Ada by the arm, pulling her off the ground and away from Ewan. His grip was painful as he dug his nails into Ada’s arm. Her breathing becoming uneven from the touch of another person; a lump catches in her throat.
“Please just let her go!” Ewan pleaded. “She has nothing to do with this!”
Frank holds on to Ada, not allowing her to move. “You’re telling me that as soon as I let her go, you will start selling at your school again?” Frank questioned skeptically with anger tinting his voice.
“Yes!”
“I don’t believe you.”
As soon as Frank finished his sentence, Jared was standing beside them with a grimace. He swings, punching Ada on the left side of her face.
A crushing pain surges through her head. She becomes disoriented for a few minutes.
Frank was still holding on to Ada who was fighting to keep conscious. When Ada finally came back, Frank and Jared were taunting Ewan. Jared was standing closer to Ewan, laughing in his face. She looks at her boyfriend, sitting in his chair, unable to help her. His eyes were dark. Rage burning from them with his jaw squared. He sat in silence staring coldly at his cousin, following his every move with his eyes as Jared danced provokingly around the room. Ada couldn’t believe the transformation that took over her boyfriend. The way he stared, the way his face drastically altered, had frightened her.
“Now, baby brother, you have put me in quite a bind.” Frank began. “Since you left the family business, I haven’t been making nearly as much money nor selling as much product.” He continued angrily. “So now, your girl here is going to be my payment and you watching will be the cherry on top.” He looks over at Jared.
Jared walks over to Ada. “Look at that dress.” He mentions while adding a whistle.
“She must’ve had something special planned for you tonight, little brother,” Frank says laughing, keeping Ada’s hands pinned behind her tightly.
“I bet she is a good fuck.” Jared replied, eyeing her up and down as he added fuel to the fire that was burning inside Ewan. He grabbed the spaghetti strap of Ada’s dress, tearing it. Luckily, the dress stayed in place so her breasts weren’t exposed.
Ada became more and more terrified as the boys continued to taunt Ewan by focusing their attention more on her.
“I think she would be a great fuck.” Frank continued, placing one hand around Ada’s waist as the other arm wrapped around her neck. His hand caressing her curves, “Mm... She’s got all the right curves.” His head now in the nape of her neck, he continues, “And she smells so lovely little brother.”
Ada’s heart started racing furiously and her breathing had started spiraling out of control. But even though she was in a panic, along with everything that was happening around her, she refused to take her eyes off of Ewan, who had a murderous gaze fixed on his family members.
“Let her go,” Ewan said through grit teeth.
Frank places his head beside Ada’s, his mouth close to her ear. “What are you gonna do about it?” He questioned Ewan. Frank’s lips started tracing the nape of her neck. “Mm... She’s so soft.”
“He can’t do anything.” Jared retorted laughing.
“And he can’t do anything about this either,” Frank said while spinning Ada around to face him, putting one arm around her waist while his other hand grabbed a hold of Ada’s breast.
Ada let out a gasp.
Ewan breaks free from the chair he was bound to, his arms now free; Ada must’ve been able to loosen the rope that kept his hands confined.
Jared lunges himself in front of Ewan, blocking his path to Ada while Frank hurriedly drags Ada out of the barn, closing the door and locking it behind them.
“Stupid kid,” Frank said as he continued fiddling with the door.
Ada looked around, trying to calm herself as she scanned her surroundings for something that would help her escape from Frank and so she could help Ewan.
I need to get back to Ewan… I need to help him…
A crowbar was resting against the barn. She looked at Frank who still had his back to her, obviously not worried or concerned about Ada. Her heart was skipping beats from it racing so fast.
“So what are you going to do now?” Ada’s voice was shaky as she slowly moved towards the crowbar.
Frank looks over at her as if he had somehow forgotten her as he tried to hatch a plan. His disgusting smirk reappeared on his face. He slowly begins walking towards her as she slowly backs up close to the crowbar.
“Oh, I have some plans for you that will make you wonder why you were ever with my baby brother.” His disgusting smirk sent chills down Ada’s spine.
She quickly picked up the crowbar and swiftly swung it at Frank’s head, knocking him unconscious. She tries to compose herself, making sure she didn’t do more than just knocking him out. Pulling herself together, she looks towards the barn.
Ada hears sirens and blue flashing lights heading towards the house and hurriedly makes her way inside the barn. Opening the door, she sees Ewan over top of an unconscious Jared.
“Ewan, stop!” She yells, running over to him.
He was still over the top of Jared, punching him.
“He’s had enough! Stop!” The bloody pulp under Ewan was breathing, but not moving.
Ewan finally stops and looks at her, his eyes still dark and cold.
Her heart stopped and her breath caught in her throat. She froze in place at the sight of him. “Ewan?” she mumbled.
A spark showed in his eyes. “Ada?” He says hesitantly before asking, “Where is Frank?” His voice monotone.
“He’s knocked out.” She replied lowly. “The cops are on their way… Hal must’ve called them. We’re fine now.”
He climbs off of Jared and embraces her. “I’m so sorry, Ada.”
She begins kissing him. She was so afraid that tonight was going to turn out differently and that she would never see him again.
**************
Ada and Ewan sat together in a tight embrace at the hospital. Police officers kept coming in to ask them questions after the doctors and nurses were done checking them out. To them, it was a nightmare that they were currently reliving. They remained in each other’s arms until Ada’s mother and his grandparents arrived to collect them.
The entire wait, Ewan kept apologizing for everything that happened.
“Ewan, it’s fine. I’m fine. That’s all that matters.” Ada continued to comfort him.
The silence was suddenly broken by a woman’s voice screeching. “Where is my daughter?”
“Oh no…” Ada says, standing up.
Tanya walks in with Ewan’s grandparents.
“Ada, are you okay?” She wails as she pulls Ada into a suffocating hug.
“Mom, mom, I’m fine, let go.”
“No.”
Ada tried to calm herself, breathing in the scent of her mother as a way to soothe her anxiety. “Mom, please, I’m fine.”
“Okay.” She lets go of Ada and takes a deep breath. “So…” Tanya hesitates for a moment before becoming vociferous. “What the hell were you thinking?”
“Mom!” Ada’s face started to burn as she looked over toward Ewan who was getting hugs from his grandparents and started staring at her and her mother when she started yelling.
“Fine… You’ll have enough time to talk to me about it at home, where you’ll be staying, grounded for the next month.” She replied sternly. “Now, let’s go.”
Ewan’s grandparents walked up to Ada.
“We are so happy you were there for him.” Ewan’s grandmother begins with a smile. “But I am very upset that you lied to us.” She finished with a stern look.
“I’m sorry,” Ada replied, looking down at her feet.
She hugs Ada. “It’s all right dear. We’re just glad that you are both safe.”
The grandparents walk out of the room with Tanya.
Ada looks back at Ewan who is sitting down in a chair with a peculiar look on his face.
“What’s wrong?” She questions, staring at him with concern.
“I nearly got us both killed because of my gullibility.”
“What? Ewan, no.” Ada began, walking to him to embrace him. “It’s not like you knew what you were walking into.”
“I should have known better.” He said, beating himself up. “I thought there would be a chance to make things better…”
“Ewan, there’s no reason why you should feel bad about trying to make some semblance of a relationship work with your family. While this didn’t work out the way you had hoped or how you would’ve liked, how could you have known they would go this far?”
“Well…” He states standing up. “My grandparents said that I will not have to worry about any of this for a very long time. My brother and cousin are being locked up for about 15 to 20 years and my parents have the same sentence, considering they have already been arrested so many times.”
“Oh…” Ada replied, not sure of what to say.
“I guess we better go.”
“Ewan?” Ada calls him, grabbing his wrist.
He turns to look at her as she begins kissing him deeply.
“It’s time to go!” Tanya’s voice cuts in, angrily.
Ada breaks away from Ewan and whispers, “Come see me tonight?”
Ewan nods, giving her one last kiss before she left.
As soon as she was home, Tanya started yelling at her. “What the hell are you thinking, Ada? What is going on with you?”
“I was thinking my boyfriend was in trouble and I needed to help him.”
“Oh my God… Just go to your room!” Tanya demanded.
“Fine…”
Once she was in there, Ada found Ewan laying on her bed waiting for her. She quickly locks the door behind her and runs to him, kissing him deeply while pulling off her torn dress.
She didn’t care that her mother was downstairs or about the fact that she almost died. She only wanted him; she just wanted to feel him touching her; the only way that he is capable of making her feel.
Ada pushes him on her bed as he takes off his shirt, and she unbuttons his pants. She sits on his lap as he enters her heat, moving up and down. He kisses her breasts, a moan escaping from her.
Ewan picks her up and quickly maneuvers her on to her back with him over top of her, causing more arousal to stir inside her. She moans his name as she digs her nails into his back.
He kisses her, a grunt escaping from within him.
When they finished, the pair remained to hold on to each other, afraid to let the other one go.
