Chapter 8 Chapter 8
Tears fell again. Why was I so angry earlier? Maybe I just didn’t understand him.
“Don’t get mad at me, okay? Hmm? You know I love you so much,” he whispered before kissing my collar bone down to my breasts, making me moan softly.
“Shh. Don’t be too loud. Mom and my siblings are outside. They’ll hear us.”
His hand moved to unbutton and unzip my pants. Soon, his fingers slipped inside, touching my core.
“Promise me you won’t moan. I’ll make it up to you.”
I bit my lip when he slid his fingers inside me. I could only swallow hard as he explored me.
“You’re already wet. Don’t tell me you’ve been wanting this to happen? Did you come here just for this?” he teased. I shook my head, making him laugh. “Don’t play innocent.”
Jett pulled down my pants along with my underwear. I was shocked when he immediately kissed me down there. Damn, it’s so uncomfortable standing up like this. My legs were shaking—I didn’t know where to lean for support.
I pressed my back against the wall as he lifted my right leg. His tongue plunged deeper inside me. I couldn’t breathe. What he was doing felt too good.
“Ahh… Jett…”
“Babe, your voice.” He looked up at me briefly, pausing.
“I can’t help it.”
He laughed, then suddenly lifted me up and threw me onto the bed. I yelped in pain as my back hit something hard, maybe even my spine, but I forgot about it the moment he kissed me again. I was startled when he pulled off his shorts and exposed his hardened length. It wasn’t huge, but it was enough for me. Without warning, he entered me, and I bit down on my hand to keep from crying out.
“Do you forgive me now, hmm?” he whispered sweetly. I didn’t even get the chance to answer before he pulled out, and I suddenly heard him climax. Just like that.
Damn it. Why did I feel even more frustrated?
“Get some rest, babe. I’ll go check on my computer.” He kissed my forehead and cheek before leaving me there. He didn’t even offer to clean me up.
“What’s on your mind?” I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to the deep voice beside me. A tall, broad man stood next to me. “You’ve been spacing out since I left you earlier. Are you not happy with your dress? Should I have someone bring you another one?”
“H-huh? N-no. It’s nothing. I was just thinking about something. What time is it? Is it almost five? Let’s go. We might miss our flight.”
“My wife, it’s already six-thirty in the evening.”
“W-what?!” I looked at the clock on the side table, and my eyes widened when I saw he was right. It was well past five. I scrambled to put on my heels and grabbed the bag he’d prepared for me, which only contained my phone, perfume, and lipstick. Wait. How were we supposed to leave without my passport?
“Wait! I need to remember where my passport is. Right! It’s in my car. Ugh! And my car’s still parked at the bar! I forgot!” I searched frantically for my car keys but couldn’t find my other bag.
“Your car key is inside the cabinet near the main entrance. And as for your car, I asked someone to retrieve it from the bar. It’s now parked here in my building.”
“And my passport?”
“I asked someone to report it as lost and had it renewed under your new surname.”
“Without my permission?!”
He chuckled. “You told me whatever I touch is okay.”
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, that’s not what I meant. But I guess it’s okay… you’re my husband after all. I was just surprised.” My panic faded, and I moved closer to him. I had to look up—even in heels, he was still taller than me. I couldn’t help but admire him. Just how tall was this man?
“So… shall we?” he asked.
“You’re not mad?” I glanced at his face as we walked towards the living room, where some of his employees were waiting for us. Clearly, they’d been delayed by me standing in the room, zoning out as I got ready.
“Why would I be?”
“I’m so late,” I said sheepishly, apologizing repeatedly to the people around us. But they just smiled and shook their heads as if telling me not to worry.
“And if you are?” He stopped walking and grabbed my waist.
“Are you going to leave me behind?”
“Crazy. You’re traveling with me. Why would I leave you?”
“I don’t know?”
“Hah. Looks like someone left you behind before when you were late, huh?”
I elbowed him for teasing me.
“No worries, my wife. I’m keeping mental notes. I promise I won’t do what they did to you.”
“Tsk. I’ve heard that before. Are you sure you won’t do what they did?” I said, half-joking, as I slapped his chest lightly. My hand was getting too used to him already.
“Yeah. I’m sure.”
“And how can you be so sure?”
“Because I don’t want to be your enemy. I want to be friends with you… my wife.”
