Chapter 56

“AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!” Tagronoth jumped and dropped his glass at the sudden scream coming from the other room.

“What the FUCK is wrong with you? Why are you screaming like a banshee?” Tagronoth yelled at Tiffany.

“Make it stop! Make it STOP! MAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOPMAKEITSTOP! Tiffany screamed over and over again, clawing at her face.

“I see the spell has kicked in.” Saagun commented, taking a bite out of his sandwich.

“What spell are you talking about?”

“Me and Emily talked and we decided we need a decoy if we are to successfully rescue Sal and Manny’s momma.” Saggun answered.

“What decoy and what spell?”

“MAKE IT STOP!!!”

“Can you please shut her the fuck up?” Sal asked, as he walked in the room.

“Emily, does she need to be conscious in order for that spell to take full effect?”

“No, but after everything I figured she deserved to feel the pain from the spell.”

“I agree with you, she does,” Sal said as he punched Tiffany, knocking her out, “but she was giving me a headache.”

“Thank you for that.” Tagronoth said.

“For someone who tortures others on a regular basis, you seem to not like screaming. Are you sure you are the mighty Tagnonth, best torturer in all the realms?” Emily commented sarcastically.”

“You are a brat.” Tagronoth said.

“Thank you for noticing. I do try my best.”

“Are you going to tell us what you did to Tiffany or not?” Sal asked.

She shrugged, “Like Saggun said, we need a temporary decoy to complete the rescue.”

“Why do we need a decoy?”

“It is like this,” Saggun stated, “When I go to get your momma, there could be a chance that someone unexpected can show up and will walk in on us.”

“OK..?”

“It is a spell that will change how someone looks. I found it months ago when I was looking for a way to shapeshift. However, I did not want to deal with the side effects and I know you two would not have let me try it even if I was willing. So there was no point in bringing it up as an option.” Emily explained, “Saggun was born a skinwalker, so when he changes, he never feels the pain of his bones shifting and changing. However, Tiffany is not, she is human, so she feels everything. She feels as her bones are breaking and resetting in order to form the perfect shape. She even feels as her hair is growing or shrinking back into her skull in some places. She can even feel her cells changing as her eye color changes to match that of your momma.”

“This is why I said that she is the one that is the monster.” Tagronoth whispered to Sal.

“Yeah, I am starting to agree with you.”

“You know I am right here? I can hear everything.”

“Sorry.” Tagronoth said.”

“Sorry, but we are telling the truth,” Sal said, changing the subject, “So, how long does the spell last once it takes effect?”

“1 week.”

“But the spell for the portal is not even finished yet. I doubt we can plan and execute the rescue in that amount of time.” Tagronoth spoke up.

“Obviously,” She said, "I am not that stupid.”

“Then why are you placing the spell on her now?”

“Just in case there are kinks in the spell and do not work as well. I do not want to place the spell in the middle of the rescue and it just fuck up the entire thing. I do need to know ahead of time.”

“So the plan is to bring Tiffany to the palace dungeon, swap her out with our momma and then throw Raumel back into the dungeon so that when the spell wears off he will take the blame for misplacing a prisoner?” Sal asked.

“Essentially.”

“So when are we doing the switching? The day before the spell wears off.”

“Why so long?” Tagronoth asked.

“So Raumel will get blamed for misplacing a prisoner.”

“Okay then.”

“So, since you and Saggun have decided all these things without informing the rest of us, have you two come up with the spell for the portal?” Sal asked.

“Not yet, we are currently working on making it.” Saggun answered, “Do you guys want to help finish it?”

“Are you two feeling jealous and left out?” Manny asked, as he walked in the room making Tagronoth and Sal glared at him.

“Is that what is happening here?” Emily asked, “Why did you two not say anything?”

“I do not know what you are talking about.” Tagronoth pouted.

“On that note, we will see you later,” Saggun said, grabbing Tagronoth’s arm.

“Where are you going? I thought you said that we need to finish this?”

“I am going to go fuck the pout off my fiances face. Apparently, I have been neglecting my duties this past week and I need to make up for it.”

“Can I watch?”

“Next time.” Tagronoth answered, “Besides, you have some making up to do to Sal. You have also been neglecting your duties.”

“Exactly,” Sal said, throwing Emily over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, making her squeal.
