Chapter 47

Saggun had spent the last three weeks tormenting Tiffany every night. Each night started out the same, with her doing things she could not bring herself to do during the day, but it always ended with her in tears, reliving her worst memories, begging for her tormentor to stop, or praying to her God to save her. Her pleas always go unheard.
“How much longer do you plan on torturing her?” Emily asked him.
“Until she shows up here and admits she was wrong, asks for forgiveness and quits acting like a 'Karen'. Or until she dies. Whichever happens first. Honestly, I don't really care which one she chooses. I get pleasure from it either way. But I am surprised she has lasted this long. You would think reliving childhood trauma over and over again would at least make someone want a little peace.”
“How does she even know what it is that she needs to do if she wants you to stop?”
“Knowing Saggun, and I do, he shows his face to her, and he whispers it in her ear each and every time.”
“Correct as always, my love!” He says as he quickly kisses Tagronoth, “I did learn from the best, after all. However, the first night, I did not do that. I just let her be tormented and did not give her a way out. She did deserve that much just from what she said and the way she acted that day. But each night since, every time she begs for the pain and torment to end, I tell her what she needs to do to make it end. As of right now, she is still adamant that she did and said nothing wrong. Maybe one day she will pull her head out of her ass, but as of right now, she continues to get tortured each night and that is on her."
“If you turn into a woman and fuck a man, can you get pregnant?” Emily looked at Saggun and asked.
“What?” Saggun said.
“What?” Tagronoth asked, very confused by the change of topic.
“Nothing.”
“Who is hungry?” Manny asks as he walks in, “What is up with your faces?”
“Your woman says the most random shit.” Saggun answers him.
“Trust me, you will get used to it after a while.”
“So Starbucks anyone?” Emily asked.
“NO!!” Saggun, Tagronoth, Manny and Sal said at once.
“What the hell is wrong with Starbucks? And why is it making you four react that way?” She had never had an issue with Starbucks in the past, nor had she ever heard anyone complain about them. So for all of them to react like that, had her very confused.
“Way too many Fae work there?” Sal answered.
“What do you consider too many?”
“One.”
“One?”
“Yes! One Fae is one Fae too many. They are sneaky bastards.” Manny’s eyes widened with a thought, “Please tell me you have never been there and have given out your name?”
“Yeah, how else would I get my order?”
“Do you remember which Starbucks it was, or which waiter it was?”
“Not really.”
“Well, it is a good thing that you plan on becoming a man. You are changing your name when you become a man, right?” Tagronoth questioned.
“Yes, how many men do you know that are named Emily?”
“True.”
"Honestly, you never know with the way people are naming their kids these days. I'm sure if we try hard enough, we can find a man named Emily." Saggun spoke up.
“You make a good point. But you still have not explained why giving my name to the waitstaff at Starbucks is wrong.”
“You should never give your name to the Fae.”
“Why not?”
“When creatures, like the fae, have someone else's name, and by someone I mean any race other than theirs, real name. It gives them power over the person,” Saggun said.
“For instance, us demons, if we decided to possess someone, they could cast us out by calling our true name. The Fae are similar in this. By giving the Fae your real name, they have power over you and, in some instances, can control you. That is why you must never give your name to any worker at Starbucks.” Manny explained.
“Sometimes, if I do not want to get my hands dirty, or if I am just too busy to get around to harassing someone I do not like, I will find a Fae and give them the name of the other person I want to mess with.” Saggun stated.
“And that actually works? Won't they figure out you are lying and come after you?” Emily asked. "And how am I supposed to know if they are Fae or not?"
“It is a known fact in the supernatural world that Starbucks is owned and operated by the Fae. They refuse to hire another species, so you can always be sure of who or what you are dealing with." Saggun explained. "And to answer your question, the trick is never to give a fake name to the same Fae twice.”
“That makes sense.”
“So where are we eating?”
“Depends on what everyone is in the mood for.”
“Steak.”
“Burger.”
“Fried chicken.”
“Golden Corral it is.”
“On the way back, I still want to stop by Starbucks,” Saggun stated.
“Why?” Tagronoth asked him.
“I am going to give them Tiffany’s name.”
“You really are my favorite person,” Tagronoth said, laughing, as they left.
