CHAPTER 11: RIGHT MATE

ALPHA BRIMSTONE'S POV

I had just returned from a war with the rogue werewolves and my body was drenched with their blood. It was a war started by them but I ended it with my hands without the help of any wolf soldier.

They were wolves sent away from my Pack because of their criminal attitude. I was lenient with them and didn't kill them because I thought they still had lives to protect but they proved me wrong. "The rogues visited the storehouse C. They loot and burn down the whole place." "The rogue visited the field today and destroyed all the crops there" "The rogues visited the border today and killed some of our soldiers." I had been getting information about how stupid and careless they could be and it annoyed me.

They knew they were just little flies that I had left to live but they kept crossing me, demanding death and because I was the one who gave them that freedom before, I decided to take it myself too and that was why I left home the second day I returned from my honeymoon. I fought with them for two days... Never knew they were so much but if there was one way to classify the feeling I had right after killing them, it was satisfying, comforting, and peaceful.

Well... Killing had been my hobby since I was young and I was never going to change that. I entered the small house that had been prepared for me not too far away from the battlefield and I met Zac standing by the door. "Thought I said no one should come with me. What are you doing here?" I asked him and he bowed a little. "You don't think I will leave you to cater for yourself alone, do you?" He questioned and my eyes twitched.

"What? Cater for myself alone? How?" I questioned as I stood in front of him. Zac raised his head and looked at me from my head down to my toe before shaking his head. "You came to the enemies den alone without letting me know and you think I won't find out?" He questioned and I sneered. "So? You still came so late. If I had let you know, you would have shared my killings and that wouldn't be satisfying enough. Well... I want to enter and have a rest." I said to him as I pushed him away from the door and entered the house.

It was a small and cozy house that was made in just a week but the comfort I got from the house was irreplaceable. I walked over to the bed and was about to sleep when Zac appeared in front of me and stretched his hand, stopping me from sleeping. "You need to return home. You've been away from your new Mate for so long." He advised and I frowned. "How does that concern you? I just finished a war and I need rest!" I groaned as I wanted to push him away again but he shook his head. "No, You and I know you don't need a rest. Just get your ass in the bathroom and take a bath." He replied as he turned me and made me face the bathroom.

I knew arguing with Zac would take me nowhere especially when there was no one with us like this. Well... that was the reason I always made sure to have someone with us whenever we were alone so that he wouldn't bully me with the age difference but at the moment, all I could do was drive my ass to the bathroom as he said. I entered the bathroom, had a quick bath, and changed my cloth before we both teleported away from the house. How I missed those nice beds I was never able to use!

I appeared in front of my room and I could feel her presence inside. "She must have slept, don't you think?" For the first time in weeks, the voice of my stubborn wolf sounded in my ears and I frowned. "Yes, But I'm not here to see her anyway. I just wanted to stay away from Zac's nagging." I replied and opened the door. "I don't think she's sleeping, Grey," I said to my wolf and entered the room after which a maid entered with me. "I think she doesn't want you to know she isn't sleeping. You should be careful, she might be angry with you." Grey advised me and I frowned. "Why are you talking about her so much? You've not talked to me for weeks because I said I wanted to choose a Mate for myself but now that you're talking with me again, you keep talking about her. What's this?" I asked Grey. I couldn't believe that he was the one that threatened me that he would never speak to me again after I told him I wanted to choose another Mate for myself and I wouldn't be taking his help this time around. He was unhappy and he stopped talking to me but he just returned and started talking about my Mate as if it was the most usual thing.

Grey was silent for a while before he laughed "In the end, we are the same. Even when I'm not there, you still chose the same Mate I would have chosen if I were there." Grey replied and my brows furrowed. I chose the right Mate.

How is this weak, clueless, and naive little girl the right Mate for a powerful and unmatched Alpha like me?

I told the maid to leave the room and I walked over to the mirror where I styled my rough hair and applied some oil on it. While I was busy taking care of myself, I felt her gaze on me and I smiled... Wait, why did I smile?

I turned to look at her and I saw the surprised look on her face. "Are you... Are you?" Maybe she wanted to ask if I was real. I disappeared and appeared in front of her the next seconds and I grabbed her chin "Did you miss me, My Luna?" I asked as I stared straight into her eyes. Those eyes... They were so beautiful that it mesmerized me but I could also see the pains hidden inside them that made my heart ache for her and I growled.

She stared at me for a few seconds before she sat up in the bed and she wrapped her arms around my neck. "I missed you. I missed you so much I could die! I missed you so much!" She kept mumbling as she tightened the hug and I was shocked. I never expected such a reaction from her as I had expected her to act coy like other girls would have done but this?

She broke the hug and looked into my eyes. "Even though this is a dream. I know it's just a dream but can I... Kiss you?" She asked and my eyes widened. "Can I kiss you, please?" She asked again but she waited for no response as she pressed her lips on mine and I was once again shocked!... This is crazy ~
