Chapter 94
"Brush your teeth, sweetie, and I will tuck you in bed after. I got Jordan getting crackers for you and some Sprite. Did you eat something bad?" She sniffles as I ease her to the bed.
"Just my gummy bears," she sobs out, and I hold in my chuckle. The warrior turned his back my way and coughed to hide his chuckle.
"Oh, my sweetheart, sometimes too much candy irritates the belly. You need to eat more healthy snacks too," Doc says, taking her vitals. Jordan runs in with boxes of crackers, Sprite, and a teddy bear, making her cry again. The warrior watches with a smile as she hugs the bear.
"I keep crying," she sniffles out.
"Totally normal and fine, honey. Are you sleeping okay? Are you hurting in your belly?" She looks down and nods, yes. We all freeze.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Jordan says in a horrified tone. He looks ready to flip out as Doc checks her belly.
"It just started with all the puking. I also fell but landed on my butt only, I swear. Jordan looked at me, and I pulled him to me and nodded no because he was about to yell at her. The warrior looked worried as he stood closer.
"Should we take her to the hospital, Alpha?" He looks ready to grab her and run. I know he worries his sister lost a pup when she passed out all alone one day. She wasn't found till hours later, and he never forgave himself.
"Doc, should we take her in for observation?" Angie nods no, but I wave her off. She looks at us all, deciding her fate for a few days. She is newly pregnant, and we don't take chances anymore. All pregnant she-wolves are constantly checked on till birth, and even after, we stop in to make sure they are good.
"Honey, I would feel better if we observed you for a few days just to be safe. We could also get your nausea and dizziness under control. You said you passed out, and we need to monitor you. I think being brought in will be beneficial." "Doc says," patting her hand.
"But I don't...alpha," she sniffles and bursts into tears again. Jordan sighs as he gathers her close, patting her back.
"Let me pack you a bag," Emma says, walking in as Doc left to set up Angie's hospital room. I know what you need, honey. Jordan, you will need some things too, so start packing. "Tyler, could you hold Angie for a few?" She grabbed some nightgowns and robes for Angie. The warrior held the bag as Emma stuffed in clothes. She grabbed their toothbrushes and other toiletries as I held Angie and stroked her hair.
"After a few days, you will be back home with us, sweetheart, and we will spoil you," she nods as she wipes her face.
"I'm being a burden," she sniffles out, and I make her look at me.
"You're not Angie. I swear you're not a burden. Pregnancy can be hard on our females, and most times, you need extra help. You will be fine, and the doctor will ensure that. Now, no more stress, honey," she hiccups and leans on me and falls asleep. I chuckle as I adjust her and stand because Emma finished packing their bags. I carried her to the hospital while Jordan carried the bags and talked to the warrior.
I sent Emma home with Jack because our gates were being repaired, and I didn't want her in the open.
Once I laid her on the bed, I hugged our boy and kissed his head.
"Thanks, Dad." I'm sorry I bothered you earlier," I sighed.
"Son, you didn't bother us at all. You needed help, and we will always come running for you both. You are not burdens, and we love you." Now I'm going back; if you need us, call." I hug him and leave. Once at home, I sigh as I lock up our clubhouse and check the cameras. Everything is quiet—too fucking quiet.
Once in our family wing, I sigh as I lock the door behind me. I just hope we get the pets gone and the rogues back off because this shit is driving me crazy.
"Alpha, I hear in the mind link, Sidney is at the gate," a warrior says, and I sigh again.
