Chapter 29
Tyler's Point of View
I watch this cunt pace and order me to reject Emma, and all I want to do is kill her.
"Reject her now, Tyler," she orders.
"No," I say calmly.
"You will, or I will shoot her in the stomach and kill your pups." She really is pushing it.
"You're going to die, you horse-humping bitch," Emma growls out, shocking us. I watch her mumble incoherent shit as she waves the gun around, and I'm waiting to attack. She doesn't fully watch us as she paces.
"Fuck you, Emma," Rachel sneers at her. "Everything was kosher till you came around and took Tyler and Jack away. You probably can't even fuck right," she glares at Emma.
"I seem to fuck just fine considering I'm pregnant, you dumbass," Emma retorts, making Rachel shriek and pout towards our make. Jordan quickly puts his body in front of Emma, looking terrified.
"Are you serious, Jordan?" Rachel asks in anger, "You're protecting that slut." He glares back.
"I appreciate you protecting me, Rachel, but I'm not letting you harm Emma because you're mad she has the men you want. She is a kind person and doesn't deserve this." He looks ready to cry but maintains a strong stance. Hunter is sneaking up behind Rachel, and I keep looking at her, waiting to take her down without harming our girl.
He hits her head, and she fires as she falls. Jordan grunts in pain as he takes a hit, and Emma bursts into tears.
"Jordan!" She tries to catch him, but Jack does it. Jordan, please!" She sobs as she kneels near him.
"Take her to the cells," I order warriors as I rush to move Emma. "Keep patrolling; Nix is out there somewhere." I lift Emma and move her to the couch as she sniffles and whimpers. Hunter runs in and hisses as he kneels to help Jordan.
"Is he okay, Tyler?" she whimpers. "Please say he is okay," she begs, crying loudly as we get his shirt cut off. Doc runs in and looks around before jumping in to help.
He quickly stops blood loss and yells for a gurney so they can rush him out.
"Alpha, I think Emma needs to come and be monitored for a while; she is extremely upset. I would like to sedate her." He looks at Emma.
"I'm fine," her voice shakes as Jack rushes to hold her. She is trembling badly. Savage growls take her to the hospital; the pups need to be looked at. I sigh.
"Baby, you need to be checked." She goes to argue, "Please do it for us, Emma," but she shuts up and nods yes. Jack gently wraps her in a blanket, and we follow after Jordan.
Once at the hospital, we head to the labor and delivery floor, hoping our pups are okay. Doc walks up and tells the nurse what tests need to be done before he runs off to help operate on Jordan. I hope he heals fast and the damage isn't too severe. After getting her in a gown, Emma is sedated, so she gets rest, and we watch our pups move around. I breathe a sigh of relief as both heartbeats are strong and still there.
"Alpha Nix was spotted ten miles out," a warrior on patrol says.
"Lockdown the pack," I ordered, watching Emma sleep.
"Yes, Alpha," he runs off, and I watch the monitors as our pups move. Jack smiles as they move all over inside our mate, and I hold in my anger at how close we came to losing either her or the pups she carries. She moves in her sleep, and I smile at the tiny belly.
"Alpha, I look at the doorway to Doc, who smiles. Jordan is fine; his surgery went well, and no damage was done to his back or shoulder. We gave him blood, and he started to heal. We will be putting him in a room to recover." I smile, relieved.
"Thanks, doc," I look back at Emma. Let me know when he starts to wake. "I want to be there," I say, kissing Emma's hand. I just hope we get Nix killed and can relax soon.
