Chapter 272

Chapter 272
Theo's POV

Sarah stopped all communication with us, which relieved us, but she was acting off. When we entered anywhere she was, she left the area without a backward glance.

"She's acting funny," James says, watching her leave while typing on her cellphone.

"Yeah, I noticed Natalie said she kind of went off on her a few days ago, so that may be why she is acting so weird now," I say, kissing Natalie's head. We just finished mountains of PAC paperwork, so we are chilling with our girl.

"She has been overly quiet compared to her usual asking questions all the time. I think she is plotting something, brother." James feeds Natalie a bite of cheesecake.

"She looks familiar, but I can't place it," Natalie offers after swallowing her cheesecake.

"I've noticed that, but she has been in Savage since she was a baby; her parents are older members. " They are very sweet," James says. Maria and Jed Franklin are the sweetest wolves ever and always help others no matter what. Their daughter Sarah was wild even at a young age, and she followed me and James around everywhere.

"She looks like Amber in a way," Natalie says, eating more. I sit back thinking when Sarah walks in, heading for the buffet table. She doesn't acknowledge anyone; she just gets a plate and sits beside her mom Maria, who is eating with her mate Jed. She kisses Sarah's head, and I see it; they look nothing alike. Sarah doesn't look like her dad or mom.

"She doesn't look like them, Theo," James whispers.

"I noticed," I whisper back. Could she be adopted? I rub my chin in thought when my cellphone dings. Pulling it out, I see a message from my dad.

"We looked into Amber's background; Natalie wasn't her only pup. She had two more after Natalie was sold. "My eyes go huge, and I pass my cellphone to James.

"Fuck me," he says after reading the text message.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I ask, and he nods.

"Dad, can you pull Sarah's information? Maybe her parents as well," I text him back. I need all information on the Franklins and Sarah.

"Sure, son, I also got the hacker looking into Amber and her family to see where they all are." I sigh.

"Are you done, angel?" She pats her belly, and I grin.

"I'm stuffed," she giggles, "literally stuffed," and her laughter makes us chuckle. I get a glimpse of Sarah glaring at her before she looks away, and I will end her if she tries to hurt our mate. I lift Natalie and head out of the dining hall and towards our room.

"So darling, what movie would you like to watch tonight?" James asks.

"Something funny," she smiles at him. He kisses her lips, and she holds his hand as we get to our section. I stop because on our door is a freaking letter taped there. James takes it off and reads it. When he growls as he reads it, I know shit is about to go bad for us.

"What does it say, brother?" I hold Natalie closer after asking him.

"I'm coming for my pet," he tells us, and Natalie starts to cry in my neck. She begins shaking as we rush inside and lock up. I mind-link my dad and hold our girl while she loses it. All those steps forward just for her to get knocked back. I bet Sarah is involved in this, or she got other club girls to help her. I hold Natalie as she sobs, and I feel utterly helpless.

The masters are all dead; we saw to it after getting Amber to talk. There are no more of them or their secret hideouts anywhere. If we get one feeling of sex trafficking, we move in and clean up the areas. I rub Natalie's back and purr as Dad hurries in. Jack is right behind him as I hand over the note. He looks livid as he calls the guards on his phone.

"Pull the footage of the whole club. Pay special attention to the alpha wing. "We got someone leaving notes affecting our new luna," he says, hanging up with a sigh and raking fingers through his hair.

"Sorry, Dad," he said to me before moving to hug me.

"Never be sorry to ask for help, son, and never apologize for looking out for your mate or your family. I will always be one phone call away," he kissed my head. A few minutes later, the guard rushes back in with the surveillance footage, and we watch a girl tape the letter to the door and run off. It wasn't Sarah, but that doesn't mean she didn't pay the girl to do this.
