Chapter 190
Nick's POV
Lena is back asleep, and we stay holding her between us. She sniffles once in a while but stays sleeping.
"What all happened to her?" Patrick asks, stroking her arm.
"Rapes, beating and torture. The place all the pets were kept was cold and damp. A warehouse, I think, and the women slept on crates. The only time they got to sleep in a bed was when the so-called masters wanted them. Lena got the worst treatment," I said, and his eyes went dark as his wolf raged to the surface.
"Fuck, I wish we could kill them everyday", he fumed.
"I wish that every day, brother those nasty fucks hurt her so bad I'm surprised she mated with me, but her heat hit the night she ran away, thinking I wanted Valerie. I had to have been an idiot messing with her." I run my fingers through my hair.
"We both made mistakes fucking around with them," Patrick murmurs when Lena shifts in her sleep. She shivers, so we cover her up.
"Nick," her sleepy voice fills my ears, "I have to pee." I chuckle as I get up and then lift her in my arms. I head for the bathroom and steady her before helping her to get her pants down. She yawns as she sits and pees.
"You so fucking cute, little one. Are you hungry?" She nods no as she yawns again.
"I'm really tired, Nick. "I'm sorry," she says, looking up at me. I help her wipe and pull her pants up. I lift her but don't leave the bathroom.
"Lena, you never have to say sorry for being tired. Also, the pup is probably making you exhausted, so let Patrick and me pamper you. You need rest, baby, and care, so we both will help with anything you need," she states into my eyes.
"I don't know how to do that. I feel you both are obligated to do everything you have been. I'm scared you both will get sick of me and I will be alone." I kiss her after her words.
"We will never leave you, baby." I kiss her again. "I swear on my life I'm here forever." "I love you, Lena," she bursts into tears and buries her face in my neck. Patrick rushes in at her sobs and looks worried as he watches her cry.
"She okay?"he looks her over.
"Just emotional and worried, but we got our little mama," I say. She sniffles and eases back to look at me.
"You mean it?" she asks, trembling.
"Mean what?" Patrick asks, stepping closer. He looks worried.
"I told our girl I love her, and I seriously meant it. "You're the best thing to happen to me, Lena," she sniffles and hugs me again.
"Fuck, baby, we both love you, so just let it happen," Patrick says closer to us. He kisses her head as she cries. I rub her back and stay there just holding her for a few.
"I'm so sorry I'm emotional. I love you guys, too. I'm just shocked. I was told nobody would love me, and all I was good for was sex." I kept my growl in as I held her, but Patrick looked ready to shift. He stepped back and closed his eyes, trying to calm his wolf. I watch Lena reach out and touch his face, and when his eyes open, he is calm. He leans into her touch. She smiles as she touches him.
He enjoys her touch just like I do. He moves closer, needing to feel her, and I move so we can sandwich her between us.
"Fuck, sweet girl, you are so beautiful. We are lucky men to have a little beauty like you as ours. Are you hungry?" I chuckle as she stares at him before looking at me.
"I'm still sleepy," she goes red as we stare at her.
"Are you sure about food, baby?" I know she is underweight, so I always ask about food.
"Yeah, I'm just sleepy, but once I wake, I can eat. Can I have cheesecake?" I chuckle at her, but I knew she'd ask for that since Patrick admitted he loved baking.
