"I have no more money, and I can't find Megan." I chuckle, and she looks at us in confusion. I'm going to love her in a panic over her golden child.
"Your golden child and her demon spawn are at the retraining camp. Alpha Tyler sent them there for bullying and injury to myself and the alpha's nephew. Seems if you fuck with the alpha's family, you get dealt with", she covered her mouth in shock.
"You did this," she accuses me. I just smile.
"Nope, I just told the truth, and the camera footage didn't lie. Your golden child is getting rehab, and so is her evil kid. Maybe you need to go there too, "she moves closer, but Patrick steps in the way. He looks ready to rip her to pieces, and I feel happy thinking about it.
"You even try to touch our mate, I will gut you, bitch." My mother backs off, fear in her eyes. She glares at me as I rub my belly. Disbelief shows in her eyes. She hates every moment of this, and I'm enjoying it.
"You're pregnant?" I smile.
"Yep, and you will never be allowed near our pup. This baby will be protected from people like you. You and your golden bitch will never be in my pup's life or mine. Leave, I don't want to even look at you. You sicken me mother. Go get a job, you lazy bitch," I say harshly. She sighs dramatically and opens the door.
"Don't try to be on a high horse, Lena. we all know you could easily fall off. You're not safe yet, and soon you will realize that. Your contract went to the next in line after Warren, "she slammed the door, and I burst into tears.
"Shhh, little one, Nick holds me; Alpha is coming. Whoever it is will never touch you again." I half believe him, but I know my safety isn't guaranteed. Warren was bad, but there were worse than him. There are men that do worse than rapes and beatings. I've seen girls go out whole and come back with flesh missing. Alpha Tyler walks in and sighs when he sees my tears.
"Her mother Jan came in and spoke some shit, but she said there are worse men out there. Lena's contract went to the next in line. This is far from over. If our girl is in danger, then so is Angie," Tyler growls, and I whimper.
"I'm sorry, honey; I'm just pissed she got through we go guards everywhere. I will have her sent to the camp with Megan." I nod as I wipe tears. I'm not just worried about myself. I'm carrying a pup now. If they get me, I bet they cut our baby out to make me suffer.
I shiver.
"We will move her to our home," Nick says, kissing my head. Patrick is moving in too, so she will have extra protection." I blush more at his words.
Damn, I'm going to be in for one rough and bumpy ride.
I lay back as they talked, and I barely listened till it hit me. My dad wasn't with her.
"My dad wasn't with her," I blurt out in the middle of them talking.
"What, little one?" Nick asks.
"My dad wasn't with her; he is always with her. Mom has him wrapped around her fingers. There is no way he would not come with her. He follows her all over," I say, looking at them.
"I'm going to get my hacker to see what your family has been up to for the last five years. Nick... Patrick, get her home and settled in. Lena, don't stress. We got this, "he leaves, and I sigh.
