Chapter 159
Early the next morning, we watch as Angie gets ready for her surgery. Dad, true to his word, shows up with mom and Jack. All three smile at our girl with love and kiss her forehead. Angie looks to us, and we kiss her as they wheel her in. Later we went up and showed where to sit. Angie is shivering as they start the c section.
"You're doing great, honey." Doc cuts into her belly, and I hold in my growl.
"Are they okay? Did they cry? Wait, are they even out? The staff chuckles, and Angie blushes.
"Baby A is coming right now." Doc holds up a boy. He cries, and Angie sniffles.
"He is big," I say, smiling and kissing Angie.
"Baby B is a little small but perfect," he holds up our little girl, who looks like her mom. Angie cries as she stares at our pups.
"They are beautiful." Silas wipes his tears away.
"Well, my word here is Baby C is a boy." We all look shocked as Doc holds up another boy, and Angie looks worried. No wonder she was hurting so bad. She starts crying, and I put my forehead to hers, trying to comfort her. Doc sighs as he fixes her up, and the nurses are already checking the pups over. Silas looks stunned as he watches the pups cry and move around. He rushes to them, and once they hear his voice, they all calm down.
"Hi, my sweet angels," he soothes, "calm down. We will get you dressed soon. Gavin will be excited to meet you. He always wants to be around Lucky and Luke, so you three will be exciting news." I kiss Angie as she cries and looks at the pup.
"You did so good, baby. I kiss her lips. Thanks for our pups. We fucking love you so much, baby." She looks at me and starts shivering worse. Doc orders warming blankets as they get her stitched up and covered.
"I'm so cold," she says, teeth chattering. Silas leaves the pup's alarm on his face as he rushes to her. Angie is shaking so bad I feel fear for her.
"This is normal, honey," Doc says in his soothing voice. "You will be fine," she tries to talk but is shivering too much. As they wheel her towards the room dad runs up and growls.
"Why is she shivering this badly?" He rubs her arms as he yells for another blanket. Angie whimpers, and he bends down to kiss her forehead.
"I'm okay," she says, trying to lie still.
"We got three pups dad, He freezes, two boys and a little girl", he looks at us excited and pulls me and Silas into a hug. He kisses Angie on the forehead and cheek, making her giggle and then hiss in pain. Once in the room, Gavin sits up, relieved, and reaches for us. I lift him up and hold him.
"Pups, okay?" He looks at us.
"Yes, all three are great, buddy, but they have to be in the unit for two months to get stronger. We will go see them tomorrow," he nods and hugs me.
"My side hurts still," he looks at me, and I kiss his forehead. Dad rushes from the room and drags doc back and points to Gavin. "My grandson is in pain. Fix it." I hold in my chuckle as doc rushes to get Gavin's meds. I rub his little back as we wait. Angie looks at him with concern.
"Did you eat, baby? Want to snuggle with me?" I nodded no; her stomach was just closed up. She just birthed our pups and can't move right.
"I okay mama, He looks away sadly. "I go to bed, please." I sit him down on the bed, and he covers up before turning on his side. He sighs as he closes his eyes. I feel fucking awful, and I look to see Silas and Angie looking at him sadly.
"Here buddy, I got your pills," Doc rushes back in. Dad notices the atmosphere and looks around confused.
