Chapter 108
Tyler pov
I wake to my family sobbing, and the pain hit hard, making me hiss loud.
Fuck me.
I hurt all over, and when I try to get up, dizziness hits, and I fall back to the floor.
"Don't move, Jordan," Doc says, taking my vitals, I got a gurney coming. We need to go run tests on you. "I nod as I look around and see Emma sitting on the floor holding my hand.
"Mom," I rasp out.
"Please just lay still Jordan, she sniffles, don't move yet. I hired nannies to help Angie with your pups. "I sigh as I lay there. Great another thing, my mate can complain about.
"Did I die?"I ask.
"For a bit, doc wipes my face, we just got you back, and I'm sure you had a heart attack." My eyes go huge. I look for dad, and he kneels beside mom, and I feel fear. I'm too young for this.
"Our pups?, I'm scared now, are they okay?"I hope I didn't fall on them. I remember my chest hurting.
"With the nannies for now," Dad says, kissing my forehead.
"I'm sorry, I say, closing my eyes, feeling embarrassed about this, I'm sorry," I don't know what else to say but sorry. Angie sniffles, and I look at her. She looks terrified, and her eyes are puffy from crying. She is moved beside me, and I reach out, wiping a tear from her cheek. I love her so much, but will that be enough.
"Why didn't you say something?"her soft voice makes me sad. After hearing her bitch on the phone about stuff I just wanted to get away. I sigh as the medical team gets the hospital bed in dad's house, and I'm loaded on it. Once at the hospital, the test is run, and I lay feeling like shit.
"I'm sorry, Angie. I didn't know all of this would happen. I swear I was fine earlier, "she sniffles more.
"You rubbed at your chest earlier, but I brushed it off to you, scratching. I don't know how this could happen to someone as young as you are", she looks around the room. My mom and dad's came with us, and all three looked stressed.
"I swear I don't get how I died or flat lined Angie, but I need to talk to mom." I was going to tell her about the underworld leader liking her. Leonardo was scary but funny. He seems obsessed with mom. When Angie leaves, I sit up, and hiss in agony, my chest and ribs are killing me.
Mom rushes over and I talk to her about the moon goddess and the underworld leader or boss. She giggles at this but then coughs to cover it up.
"He made Tyler mad," she mumbles but doesn't say anything else.
"He said if I stayed there, I would become a soul taker for him," she stiffens, and her eyes fill with tears.
"Were you going to stay there, Jordan? Why?" she choked out. I tell her of the phone conversation I overheard from Angie and Natalie, and mom looks gutted. She sighs sadly as I keep talking till doc comes in looking worried.
"You had a heart attack, Jordan, and it seems you had a stressed induced one. You need to rest and stay clear of stress. I'm keeping you in here for a week to observe you, "I cringe. Once Angie comes back, he tells her, and I watch her deflate. She will just find more stuff to complain about, I say to my wolf. More shit to blab to Natalie about.
"Can I stay with him?"Angie asks.
"Yes honey, I'm going to move Jordan to a family floor it looks like apartments, but in the hospital. They were made for families in case a mate or pup got sick and had to be admitted for care. "I nod as I lay back.
"I hurt," I voice softly, and doc runs out for pills before he comes back, and I take the pain meds. As I drift off, I hear mom talking to Angie.
