CHAPTER 54
"Don't be alarmed if you see a wolf or warriors walking around they are here to protect you and assist you with anything. There are about seventy-five of them around the area. The ten top warriors are the ones you will see the most if you need anything from nappies for the babies or blankets for the elders. You just tell one of them they will have it brought from the supply house." He then handed me a case of ice-cold beer. Welcome to your new home. We will see you in the morning. I was very surprised. Sean and I watched as he climbed into a black truck and left waving to us as he went.
"Friendly bunch." Sean said.
"Maybe to friendly?" I questioned.
"Tyson relax, man, Rollin told you they were good people."
"The warriors, are they really here to protect us or watch us?" I asked.
"Alpha Tyson, General Scott is my name, and Alpha Colt would be a fool if it was not a bit of both. Would you not agree?"
"I can see your point, General Scott." I said, smiling.
"Do you require a tent for you and your mate Alpha Tyson?"
"No, mate, and no, I'm fine as long as the pack is comfortable."
"Doing what we can now. I will be over by those trees if you need me. Just send someone over, don't matter the time." A young warrior ran up to the General and asked him for something. "Run down and tell Greta she will give you enough take block with you." The young man ran off.
"May I inquire what the young man asked about?"
"A couple of the moms have run out of formula, so they have gone to get some from Greta who runs the store house. No worries.
ALPHA COLT'S POV
Robert and I each grabbed our thermos of coffee and headed to the truck. Quin, Lucas, and Rollin were waiting for us.
"Report came in the second pack has arrived. Warriors are helping them set up. Tyson wants to talk to you about a family he picked up that was on its way to you."
"Damit, I hope we don't start getting a bunch of stagers. This was hard enough to pull off." I said.
We went to Alpha Tyson first because he was closer to us. My gut was starting to hurt. Maybe I was getting too old for this shit.
We parked the truck, I told Quin and Lucas to hang back by the truck for a bit, so they dropped the tailgate and sat drinking their coffee. It did not take long for a tall sandy blonde hair, and a lot of tribal tattoos approached us.
"Alpha Tyson." I said, giving him my arm. Rollin jumped in and showed Tyson. Who then extended his arm to me.
"Alpha Colt, I presume." He said.
"How was your night?" I inquired.
"Uneventful. If you had not told me the warriors were there, I would not have noticed. You must train them well."
"Thank you, we do our best." I told him.
You have met my Beta, and this is Alpha Rollin here. Walk with me to my truck. I will introduce you to the two men goofing around." I said
As we got closer, I yelled Quin and Lucas came here. Lucas pushes Quin off the tailgate, laughing. I rolled my eyes.
"Alpha Tyson, this is the Alpha King Quin and his Beta Lucas."
"Your Highness, I did not expect to see you today." Tyson said, bowing.
"All good, Alpha Tyson. Welcome to your new home." Quin said. They clasped arms. Where is this family you picked up that was headed this way, Alpha Tyson?" Tyson waved over a
Man over with the same tattoos but dark brown hair.
"Alpha Colt, this is Sean, my Beta." Tyson said
"Sorry I could not come right away; my mate needed some help she is in the last part of her pregnancy." Sean told him.
"Sean, can you go and get John Silver Claw? Alpha Colt would like a word with him." Tyson asked.
"Sure, be right back with him." Sean said.
"Rollin, you let me know if you recognize this guy." I asked. He nodded his head.
"Alpha Colt." A tall, dark-haired man came up to us, followed by Sean.
"Quin," I said. Quin stepped forward and put out his arm. John clasped his arm. But Quin did not let go his arm. Instead, gold swirls went up their arms, and Quin eyes clouded over. There was a spark, and Quin released him quickly.
"You are a traitor to the King!” Quin said.
"No, the pack I left...."
"You are from Alpha Barton's pack." Quin said.
"Yes, but I was just a patrol warrior. I know nothing of his dealings. When they were sending us to his allies, I took my family and headed to Alpha Colt. I want no trouble. I just want to raise my three daughters. Please." Quin took his arm again. Who are you loyal to. The Alpha King and Queen Sasha, I swear."
"He tells the truth, father." Quin told me. John realized suddenly who had questioned him and fell to the ground.
"Your Highness, I am dedicated to serving you."
"Rollin, we will take him and his family to the castle he will become a royal guard." Quin said.
"Thank you, Your Highness."
"Gather your family. One of my warriors will take you to my pack to await going to the castle." I told him. I turned to Quin.
"Did that shock hurt, son?"
"Just a tad, but I'm fine."
"Are you able to do everything Sasha does?"
"Not sure yet. Honestly, I have not been in a fight to find out."
"Well, don't lose control. we don't need any broken warriors right now." I laughed.
"Tyson, Sean, jump in the bed with the boys. Let's go greet the other pack, shall we?"
Tyson said something to Sean, who ran off and was back before we left. We drove twenty-five miles down the road and pulled into the other designated land. I asked Tyson and Sean to hang back with Quin and Lucas for a bit as I went to great the two large red-haired men who also had many tribal tattoos that were walking towards us.
"Alpha Jaxson," I said, putting out my arm he clasped arms with me.
"Your warrior showed me when we arrived how to greet you." He explained. I nodded.
"This is my Beta Robert and Alpha Rollin." He clasped arms with both.
"Alpha Colt, did you find out who was following us?" Jaxson asked.
"Yes, they were Alpha Clay's men. They are in the Kings Dungeon being questioned."
"We were careful about leaving." Jaxson said.
"We will find out why they were following you rest assured. You need not worry about it." I told him.
"This is my Beta Troy, Alpha Colt." I clasped arms with him. Then, I waved over the others from the truck. We did inductions all around and sat down and talked for a couple of hours. We dropped Tyson and Sean off and then went back to the pack.
