Chapter 27
He kicks the door open, and we enter the room. It’s massive, with gray walls, dark-toned furniture, a king-sized bed with sophisticated sheets, and a sideboard in the left corner stocked with whiskey, cigarettes, and cigars. As soon as he lays me on the bed, Luara barges in.
"So it’s true—she’s back!" Her face is flushed with visible anger, and her glare is venomous. "You’d better already be pregnant, you decrepit thing, or we’ll throw you out of this house." Her voice is shrill, and she gestures wildly. "She’s not staying in your room, Samuel. This is unacceptable."
"Get out! Tell Maria to bring medication for Tatyana; she has pulmonary edema," the arrogant man exclaims, immediately causing the blonde to freeze in place and let out a small, hysterical shriek before storming out of the room.
When the door closes, the words escape my lips in a whisper.
"I’m pregnant…" Samuel looks at me, stunned.
"What did you say?" he asks.
With a shaky voice, I repeat the nearly inaudible words.
"I’m pregnant."
Samuel falls into a deadly silence, completely unresponsive for about ten minutes. After regaining his composure, he walks over to the sideboard and picks up a cigarette. He rolls it between his fingers, then brings it to his lips, lighting it and taking a drag without saying a word. I wish I knew what was going through his mind right now. He seems to be fighting an internal battle, perhaps against the darkness threatening to consume him.
The silence is broken by a gentle knock on the door, followed by John’s entrance. He smiles and quickly approaches the bed. When he sees me naked, he grabs the blanket from the armchair and covers me with it. A few seconds later, Maria enters and hands me some medication.
"I got it from our medical wing. It’s for pulmonary edema."
I check the medication and swallow it. Maria nods and leaves the room.
"I’m sorry my father took you away," John says. A gentle smile spreads across my face as he sits at the edge of the bed, running his hands through my hair.
"Get out, John. I’m going to have her now," Samuel declares arrogantly, always saying something outrageous when he feels threatened.
"Can’t you see she’s weak? All you think about is sleeping with her? She’s not a toy, Samuel."
"I said get out!"
John leans in and kisses my forehead.
"I’ll come back to see you tomorrow. My brother is unbearable today. I know he’s only saying this to provoke me." John lovingly squeezes my hand.
"I noticed. He hasn’t changed a bit!" I reply.
He smiles, walks to the door, and leaves. Samuel puts out his cigarette in the ashtray and strips down, standing completely naked. He’s nearly two meters tall, with a strong, muscular body. His fair skin is covered in tattoos, likely symbols of the mafia. He paces around the room, then returns to the sideboard to pour himself a glass of whiskey.
I can tell he’s nervous by the way he seems aimless in his movements. He downs the drink in one gulp and approaches me.
"If you dare lay your filthy hands on me, I’ll end you," I threaten, furious about his earlier remarks to John.
"I should punish you for being so insolent," the arrogant man growls, lying down beside me and staring intently.
"I won’t touch you. Rest; you need to recover. Tomorrow, you’ll feel better. We have the best medications, and I’ll have a meal prepared for you. But don’t think I won’t question you. In a few nights, when you’re well enough, we’ll talk about this. I want the names of the traitors, and I hope you won’t keep lying to me."
I remain silent as he pulls me into his arms. I fall asleep, enveloped in his scent and the warmth radiating from our bodies.
***
I spend a week recovering, confined to bed, taking medication, and nourishing my weak body. Every day, Samuel sat beside me among the pillows, silently watching me. Maybe he felt guilty, or at least that’s what I wanted to believe.
The arrogant man allowed me to rest and didn’t question me over the past seven days. The glances we exchanged during that time, the touches, the embraces as we slept, and even the sharp words left me even more confused and entangled in this insane feeling.
Today, on the eighth day, as I’m finally feeling better, Samuel enters the room and lies down beside me. I can’t deny what I’m feeling—I want to grab him, bite his lips, and feel him inside me. I take a deep breath, trying to control myself while his gaze devours me. An uncontrollable impulse courses through my veins, and I climb on top of him.
I kiss his lips and taste a faint mix of whiskey and cigarettes. I could say it’s unpleasant, but it’s perfect. I let myself enjoy the warmth of his skin against mine. I tenderly kiss his neck, slowly trailing down to his sculpted chest. His skin has a unique, masculine, and dangerous scent that overwhelms my senses. Samuel lifts my face, bringing his lips close to mine, and speaks in a calm, low tone.
"I need you to tell me—who took you?"
Samuel had only been waiting for another chance to ask me this question.
"Your father!" I reply sharply.
"I know that, Tatyana, but I want to know who his allies are."
"I don’t remember their faces."
"Damn it, you’re lying to me!"
"And what if I am?" I retort, tired.
"You can’t lie to me—don’t you see I want to protect you?"
"Then you should stay away from me! I’m tired of you."
He tightens his arms around me as he notices my anger.
I abruptly get up, put on a robe, and head toward the door.
"Where are you going?"
I ignore his question and leave. I walk quickly down the hallway and head to the back of the house. I don’t think I’ve ever been here, but I need some space. Samuel seems to consume all the oxygen in a room with his arrogance. Since I returned, I’ve been confined to the bedroom, and now I finally feel strong enough.
I need to breathe, to spend at least five minutes away from him! Every time we’re together, it’s like fire and gasoline—a tremendous explosion.
I see a huge pool, all blue with Indian tiles, and next to it is a man I’ve never seen before. He’s sitting, looking at his phone with his legs in the water. He’s wearing only an open blue dress shirt and short shorts that expose his strong legs. He has the signature Colt family hair—golden, with blue eyes and a square jaw.
"Who are you? Are you lost in the house?" I ask, surprised. He’s handsome, and I’ve never seen him before.
Suddenly, the man stands and looks at me curiously.
"I wish I were lost—it would mean I’m not a Colt."
"Another Colt?"
"I swear I’m not a crazy narcissist! I’m Iurih Colt."
He smiles, but our conversation is interrupted by Samuel, who stops behind me.
"Excuse me, the boss is here!" Iurih says as he walks past me with a confused look. "What’s your name?"
"Tatyana."
He gives me a slight smile and quickly disappears down the hallways.
I turn to face the arrogant man.
"What do you want, Samuel Colt? Do you just want to screw me? Is that it?" I open my robe and let it fall to the ground. "Isn’t that what I am to you? Just a walking pussy?"
Samuel coldly steps closer, gripping my body with brutal force. One hand wraps around my waist, and the other firmly holds my neck.
"No, you’re not just that!" His lips capture mine with violence.
I give in to his bold and fiery kiss. My heart races, yearning for his touch on my skin. An electric current courses through my veins, leaving me completely aroused and wet. His hands roam my body, stopping between my legs. He gently rubs his face against mine and whispers, making me weak.
"I want your sweet pussy. I want you… to give yourself to me."
His large fingers circle my clit, pressing it slowly and making me moan.
"Let me kiss your body and take in your scent."
We gaze at each other, consumed by madness, as the magnetic attraction between us pulls us into a frenzy.
