Na Unmistakable Touch

Na Unmistakable Touch
The night after the farewell lunch was marked by silence. In the hotel room, the suitcases were already packed for the return trip, but Rhaek could not sleep. The unease burned under his skin like glowing embers.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, he watched Narelle remove her earrings and massage her delicate wrists.

"Narelle…" his voice came out deep, heavy, "what happened in the restroom?"

She paused for a moment, staring at her reflection in the mirror, but did not answer immediately.

"Nothing, Rhaek. I already told you it was nothing."

"‘Nothing’ doesn’t take that long." He stood up, approaching, his gaze split by jealousy. "It was Kalil, wasn’t it?"

Narelle drew a deep breath. She tried to keep her composure, but a brief, almost ironic smile slipped through.

"If I didn’t know how ridiculous that sounds…" she murmured, crossing her arms, "I would say Kalil is Kael himself… in another skin."

Rhaek laughed dryly, as if the idea were far too absurd to be taken seriously.

"So you had a relapse," he said coldly, staring at her as if he could tear the truth from her.

"Don’t you dare speak to me that way." Narelle was offended, lifting her chin. But deep down, the memory of Kalil’s intense gaze unsettled her. It wasn’t just desire. It was something only Kael, in the past, had managed to awaken—until Rhaek had claimed every part of her life.

She turned her face away.
"Don’t confuse things. What I feel for you is solid."

Rhaek sighed, ran a hand through his hair, and decided to end it there. But he did not fully believe her.

...

Back home, Luxor was the first to greet them. The young man opened the door with enthusiasm, hugging his mother and clasping his father’s hand firmly.

"So? How was Morocco?"

Rhaek spoke of business, meetings, and closed deals. Narelle described the landscapes, the dinners, and the luxury of the events. Luxor listened, smiling, until he was left alone with his mother.

She approached him on the veranda, where the night breeze blew softly.

"Luxor…" she began in a low tone, "something strange happened with Kalil. I…" she hesitated, "for an instant, I felt as if he were Kael himself."

Luxor raised an eyebrow, thoughtful.

"Mother… nowadays that’s not uncommon. Identity swaps, surgeries, procedures. People who disappear and come back different." He shrugged. "But honestly, I don’t believe Kael would go that far."

"Why?" she pressed, her eyes shimmering with curiosity.

"Because he isn’t declared dead," Luxor answered firmly. "He’s alive. Living his life somewhere. Maybe too far away to look back."

Narelle remained silent, her heart torn between relief and unease. If Luxor was right, then who was Kalil? And why did his presence make her relive pains and pleasures she thought buried forever?

As the house filled again with routine, Narelle secretly carried the weight of a doubt she did not dare confess even to her husband.

Was Kael truly alive?

Or had he been standing right before her, hidden beneath another man’s skin?

The night advanced silently in the mansion. Rhaek’s breathing beside her was calm, but Narelle tossed and turned, prisoner to images that burned like fire in her mind.

In the dream, she was once again in the restroom of the event. Kalil pressed her against the door, his gaze so deep it pierced her soul. His hands slid down her body, firm, certain, until they reached the very center of her vulnerability.

The movement of his fingers was precise, cruel, devastating. In less than eight seconds, Narelle shattered in pleasure, trembling all over, defenseless. The touch was unique, unmistakable—the very same touch only Kael had ever known, the touch of a man who read her body as if he had written every line of it.

She awoke drenched in sweat, her heart racing, her breath in flames. The night wrapped around the room, but the sensation would not let her rest.

Frightened by the intensity of the dream, she turned toward her husband. Rhaek slept deeply, the serene features of a warrior who trusted in his own sleep. That was when desire overtook her.

Without thinking, she leaned over him. Her lips traveled down his body, hot, until she took him into her mouth. The taste and texture made her shudder—it wasn’t Kalil, it wasn’t Kael. It was Rhaek. The man who had claimed her life, her destiny.

Still half-asleep, Rhaek groaned low, his body responding. Narelle climbed on top of him, her loose hair falling like a veil. In one swift movement, she took him inside, sinking onto him, and he opened his eyes as he was consumed by the unexpected heat.

"Narelle…" he murmured, half awake, his voice hoarse with pleasure.

She didn’t answer. She moved on him as if trying to erase the dream, but in truth, she was burning because of it. Rhaek, surprised by his wife’s unusual boldness, simply held her hips, letting himself be carried by the frenetic rhythm she set.

The room filled with muffled moans, the slap of bodies, the scent of desire. And yet, in the depths of Narelle’s mind, the shadow remained: was it Kalil… or Kael who had made her explode in pleasure in that dream?

When she finally collapsed exhausted against her husband’s chest, Rhaek smiled in satisfaction but said nothing. The moment was far too good to be questioned.

Narelle, however, closed her eyes, trying to hide it. The taste of the dream still lingered on her lips, and the doubt burned hotter than the pleasure.

\## Fire at Dawn

The room was still steeped in the dimness of dawn when Narelle awoke. The sheet had slipped from her body, revealing bare skin that burned as if it still held the heat of a fire. The delicate sweat at her nape betrayed her feverish insomnia: she had dreamed of Kalil.

But it wasn’t Kalil.
It was Kael.

The kiss, the pressure of his fingers, the exact way he made her lose her breath in seconds. Nothing in the world could reproduce that movement—and yet, she had felt it. The same taste on her lips, the same breath that made her a slave to uncontrollable pleasure.

Her body pulsed, begging. Her heart raced, not for love, but for the addiction that memory awakened.

She turned in bed. Rhaek slept heavily, his face calm, unaware of the storm that consumed her. Narelle couldn’t bear the distance. She took his hand and, with the boldness of someone who could wait no longer, guided it to her intimacy.

When his fingers touched her, a shiver ran down her spine. She set the rhythm herself, pressing, demanding, until she felt her body respond and warmth run down her thighs.

The predator’s instinct in Rhaek awoke before his eyes did. He suddenly pulled her closer, plunging into the place where her wildest scent hid. His mouth devoured her as if there were no tomorrow, sucking every drop of the desire that overflowed. Narelle moaned softly, muffling the sound against the pillow, but her body screamed in convulsion.

And when she could no longer endure it, Rhaek turned her onto her stomach, dominating her with the force of a man who knew all her secrets. She arched her body instinctively, offering herself. The curve of her hips was an irresistible invitation.

He took her slowly at first, in silence, letting her feel the claim inch by inch. Then the rhythm shifted. Deeper. Harder. Savage.

Narelle didn’t resist—she begged. The words slipped between sighs, between orders and pleas. The room filled with the primal sound of two bodies that knew no limits.

And yet, in the midst of the ecstasy, a ghost lingered. The taste of that kiss. The memory of the restroom. The certainty that something impossible haunted her mind.

When she collapsed, spent in Rhaek’s arms, her body satisfied but her soul restless, Narelle understood it hadn’t been only desire. It was the beginning of an obsession.
