Chapter 13 — A Taste of Lust
Back hitting the soft mattress instead of the hard floor, my eyes went wide in shock at Cedric, now awake with his hand covering my mouth. His heavy weight pinned me down as I struggled to get up so I could explain myself as to why I was here. And yet, for some odd reason I couldn’t pinpoint, I was frozen on the spot as I stared up at the man whose expression was hidden in darkness. Despite being unable to see whatever reaction or face he’s putting on, I was held captive by his domineering gaze, making me swallow all the words I was going to say and letting them die on my throat. I gave up on thrashing around and merely waited. He took this as a sign to speak.
“Reese, what were you doing back there?” Voice low, Cedric slowly removed his hand from my mouth and allowed me to speak. Yet, I dare not to. He chuckled darkly at my loss for words. “What? Cat got your tongue? Speak, Reese. I’m asking you a question.”
“I…” Perhaps it was the position we were in that gave me a hard time formulating sentences. My lips opened and closed—unable to produce any sound. Even though he wasn’t pressing down on me enough to have me gasping for air, it was still an uncomfortable weight on my body, especially on my lower half. Legs going numb as blood wasn’t flowing properly through the veins located there. Nevertheless, Cedric merely sat before me in patience. “I-I…Well, you see…Gerard said you wanted me to be here.”
Cedric chuckled, brushing away the strands of hair that clung to my face. “I don’t recall telling him to give you permission to snoop around my bedroom though.” Light, albeit weak, cast its blue hues of a morning to come from the window, and behold, my breath was taken away at the man above me. Dominant, confident, and proud. Those were the three words I could associate with how he was peering down at me with a smirk on those lips of his. As if all my senses went into focus, my nostrils picked up the scent of his cologne from his pillows and soft sheets. Every part of the room smelled like him. Screamed that this was his room. His territory—the den of a lion slumbering, and I, a lone visitor, carelessly walked right into it.
Brows furrowed, I retorted back in frustration. “He said you wanted me to come up here. I guess that already permits me to be here, Sir. And for your information, I wasn’t snooping around.” I can’t believe he was holding me hostage and accusing me of snooping. I may have wandered around his bedroom longer than needed, but it wasn’t out of malice. “What’s beyond the door for you to be all territorial about it anyway? Are you hiding drugs inside?” An image of a closet full of substances meant to drive the mind crazy colored my thoughts, making me fear for the worst. Cedric didn’t seem the type to resort to such things…but I can’t rule it out for now. “Don’t worry, I won’t report you to the police. It’s none of my business if you decide to ruin your life or your health.”
“You think I’m using drugs?” Shaking his head in amusement, he leaned down. Our noses brushing as he whispered with a smile. His breath fanned my face, the minty fragrance throwing me off more than the usual morning breath I was expecting a normal person would have. Putting two and two together, I felt my blood run cold at the realization that he may have been awake the whole time. The lion’s den was a trap all on its own, meant to lure me in and entrap me there. Cedric definitely got me right where he wanted me to be. “Darling, there are certain things that can drive you far more crazy than powdered substances. You, of all people, know what it is.” A gasp slipped past my mouth when his breath fanned the side of my neck. “Maybe if I kiss you senseless, it will jog your memory.”
“Cedric, c-could you stop?” Thankfully it was still dim, my flushed cheeks not visible for him to see under the faint light. “I apologize if I didn’t do as I was told, but for you to have me pinned against your bed is too much…” Avoiding his piercing gaze, I didn’t bother pointing out how I realized he had been waiting for me. Maybe he is already aware of that fact. Running his hand through his silky locks that were often stiffened by wax at work, Cedric’s current appearance was too hard to ignore. If the ladies were already swooning at the mere sight of him in a suit, imagine the crowd he would attract when he shows up half-naked.
“Already caught in this situation, yet you still act innocent.” Rising in the morning for men only ever turns out two ways. One, there wouldn’t be something hard and heavy poking my thigh. Two, the opposite of the first option brought by Cedric’s morning wood. Inhaling deeply, I clicked my tongue softly at the situation while trying to push him off to preserve what was left of the professional barrier between us. Breaking it might tip over the balance I have fought for since becoming his secretary. He merely laughed at my attempt. “Reese, what’s the matter? You scared that I might kiss the daylights out of you?”
“Not funny, Cedric.”
Showing his dominance by pinning my hands tightly on the mattress once more, he smirked. “Why? Why are you trembling, Reese? Are you scared of me? Why is that so?” Biting my lip, I narrowed my eyes at him which made him chuckle even more. “Do you hate me? I’d have a hard time believing that. You always adore me.” Lips meeting the skin of my neck, Cedric planted open-mouth kisses there, sucking at my flesh. I held back a whimper, eyes shutting at the tricks he’s playing. I never would have fathomed that he might result in seducing me this early.
“C-Cedric, don’t do this…We can never go back!” Talking sense to him while receiving sloppy kisses proved to be a challenge. Cedric didn’t stop with his advances, even caressing my sides and biting the lobe of my ear. His hold on my wrists loosened as he slowly backed away to inhale the scent of my hair instead. It led me to think he had given up, prompting me to lower my guard until he bit on my ear hard. A moan slipped past my traitorous mouth, but my hand wasn’t fast enough to cover it to keep it within. Yet Cedric heard it all the same and grinned at my horrified expression.
What have I done?!
“Are you perhaps…enjoying this?” Eyes glinting in merriment, Cedric’s satisfied grin made my blood boil. How I wish I could punch him off of me this very moment, but I can’t for he was still my superior despite being a jerk. Coincidentally, he was my boyfriend, too. Of all men in the whole wide world, my former self chose this bastard and now, even without those memories, I still have to live with such a decision.
“Don’t be ridiculous!”
“No need to lie, Reese.” He whispered, kissing me with a stupid smile. “I always knew you were a masochist, darling.”
Fire spreading across my skin and to my face, I managed to grab him by the ear and brought his face down to snarl at him. “Who said I am—ah!” A shot of pleasure ran through my nerves when he flicked at my clothed vagina, close to hitting the clit. Wearing a skirt to pair with my blouse today was a wrong decision. However, if I knew Cedric was going to lure me into his bed, I probably would have dressed in plenty of layers. Slipping his hand through the pencil skirt was as easy as slicing a knife through butter. The hem hiked up my thighs as he fiddled with the band of my panties. His fingers lowered down to rub the soaked part, earning a pitched groan from me.
“Look at you…” He groaned, the astonishment in his eyes morphing into glee. Protests lodged on my throat, I watched in silent shame as he dipped a finger into my folds that were surprisingly wet. “I never knew you were capable of being this wet, darling.” I have never engaged in any sexual activity nor pleasured myself during my alone time, yet to see how aroused I was without my knowledge was slightly mortifying considering who was turning me on. What scared me, however, was Cedric’s motive.
“Cedric, we should stop…” I whispered in between pants, the delicious bliss of having my clitoris rubbed and pinched caused me to moan unabashedly. “If we continue this…you and I won’t be able to go back to simply being a superior and his assistant.” The awkwardness and the secret stares, meeting clandestinely from everyone’s judging eyes, I can see it all. Simply eating together in restaurants was already risky enough as they would give way to rumors of us being lovers. To cross that line this early…
Cedric merely growled in disapproval, capturing my lips as he hastened his rubbing. I cried out in rapture, keening. “We’re lovers, Reese. There’s nothing we cannot cross. No one would bat an eyelash at us for kissing as long as we do it outside the company.” Unzipping my skirt, he pulled it down in one swift motion along with my panties. Cool air met my dripping lower regions and goosebumps etched around my thighs. “What exactly are you afraid of?”
“I-I’m afraid of getting caught and…and…” Words trailed off, replaced with gasps and groans as Cedric went on with pleasuring my clitoris. It didn’t take long until something strange started blooming at the pit of my abdomen. I relentlessly chased after it, seeking relief as I squealed in muffled delight. Until Cedric suddenly removed his hand and got up.
Betrayal evident in my eyes, I went silent as the man started stripping. I laid there on the bed, a bit delirious as I heard the rustling of foil and Cedric groaning. There wasn’t much to remove on his side for he was soon kissing me again, the dim room cloaking his nude body and my haggard appearance.
The dance of passion was about to begin after having a sip of desire. The taste of lust at the tip of our tongues as we were close to drowning in its murky waters. Naked bodies twisting and heaving. And just as I was about to lose it all, Cedric paused and looked at me with a glorious expression.
“Can I have you?”
And with a single nod, I let him.
I let Cedric Dixon have me, from my head and down to my toes. To the tight womanhood of mine that stretched around his solid cock, causing me to bite his shoulder in an attempt to muffle my moans. The break of my hymen wasn’t as painful as I thought, yet tears streamed down my cheeks as I cried out for him. My head is empty of thoughts, merely filled with him and only him for once. And somehow, despite claiming not to love him, I felt the exact emotion in his arms as he thrust into me in full vigor.
Everything felt right about the world.
“Mr. Dixon, please affix your signature on pages ten and fifteen.” Lawrence set papers down on the man’s desk. Cedric sighed and took a pen out of his pocket, uncapping it. I dare not look him in the eye as I waited patiently by the sideline for any orders. What occurred this morning is still reeling in my mind. My lower regions ached slightly at the reminder. Even if it was a pleasurable experience, I know it wouldn’t be the last now that we consummated our strange relationship. However, I was probably the only one who felt awkward as Cedric acted like it was just another normal day at the office. He carried through his itinerary for the day with the same confidence and energy—more so than a few days ago along with a beaming smile.
“Reese, could you fetch me a cup of coffee from the cafe? I ran out.”
Cedric’s usual tone didn’t change as he addressed me. The same mouth that kissed me and whispered my name as he climaxed still smiled whenever I entered the office. Nothing has changed upon the surface, yet in secrecy, we did. Under my clothes and his were marks of our activity earlier. Nail marks on his back and hickeys on my inner thighs. Marks that were hidden from everyone’s view except us.
“Reese?”
“Y-yes?” I mentally cursed at myself for spacing out once again. I haven’t wrapped my head around the fact that it was a few hours ago that we were against each other’s skin, moaning and panting in ecstasy. It seemed like I lived a double life. One as his secretary, and the other as his lover.
Are we truly lovers now? But I don’t even know how I really feel about him. We went straight to having sex and never said those three words…Is this all right?
Cedric narrowed his eyes at me in scrutiny before chuckling. “What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you’re already tired. Well, we did fuck a couple more times before leaving—”
I hushed him, holding up two hands while glancing at the door. “Are you out of your mind? What if Lawrence hears you? You and your big mouth could get us in trouble!”
“Why are you so jittery? He won’t hear us, darling.” Cedric stood up from his chair, crossing his arms playfully. Sighing at his nonchalant response, I shook my head and approached his desk. I crossed my arms the same way he did. He must have realized then that what he said didn’t pacify me, for he walked towards me with a calming aura paired with a smile. “Reese, are you okay? If you’re so worried, I’ll stop talking about it, okay? Please don’t be angry.”
“How can I not be when you’re close to screaming it for everyone to hear?” I grumbled, backing away, and went to my desk. “You know how I feel about this…relationship of ours.”
Strong arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me close to Cedric with my back against his chest. Placing a kiss on my nape, he whispered. “All right. Don’t worry, darling. No soul is ever going to know. If one does, I’ll make sure to take care of it. Please don’t be mad.”
Cedric’s words were sweet like honey. Although I never told him aloud, it did calm the troubled waters in my psyche. However, nothing could have prepared me for what was to come in the next following days.
Nothing.
