Chapter 130 Sacred Union Under the Silver Moon

Chapter 130 Sacred Union Under the Silver Moon
Elara's POV

One month after the graduation proposal, I stood alone at the top of Laurel Tower as dusk painted the sky in shades of violet and gold, my fingers trembling against the stone balcony as I stared down at the ceremonial grounds where three hundred pack banners rippled in the evening breeze. The white Luna gown I wore felt impossibly heavy despite its delicate fabric.

My breath came shallow and quick as I counted the representatives gathered below, each one a reminder that tonight I would stand before the entire werewolf society and claim a title that had been lost for centuries. The weight of their expectations pressed against my chest until I wondered if the girl who had once been nothing more than a broken omega could truly transform into the Luna they needed me to be.

"You're thinking too hard again," Kaelen's voice came from behind me, warm and familiar. I turned to find him crossing the tower room in his black and gold Alpha King battle robes, and when his hands closed around mine I realized how cold my fingers had become. "I can feel your anxiety through the bond, little wolf."

I leaned into him as his forehead pressed against mine, the mate bond flaring bright and sending waves of his strength flowing into me. "What if I'm not ready?" I whispered. "What if they realize I'm still just the damaged omega who couldn't even shift properly a year ago?"

Kaelen's hands framed my face, tilting my head until my silver-gray eyes met his ice-blue gaze. "You've already proven yourself a hundred times over," he said firmly, his thumbs brushing away tears I hadn't realized were falling. "Tonight isn't a test, Elara. It's a recognition of what you already are."

His lips found mine in a kiss that started gentle but quickly deepened, and I felt his promise flowing through the bond. "I'll be right there beside you," he murmured. "Every single moment. The entire world will know that you are my Luna, my mate, my everything."

The ceremonial grounds transformed as the silver moon climbed to its zenith, its light spilling down like liquid magic across the assembled packs. Twelve Alpha elders thrust their torches into the designated pillars, and columns of light shot skyward, intertwining until they formed a dome that enclosed the entire ceremonial space. The raw power made my wolf Astraea surge forward with recognition.

The white-haired High Elder's voice rang across the grounds like thunder. "We gather under the full moon to witness the coronation of our Alpha King and the consecration of his Luna." Three hundred werewolves lifted their voices in a howl that shook the air.

Kaelen emerged from the eastern gate flanked by his Nightshade elite guard. The golden light of Fenrir's bloodline manifested as a visible crown hovering above his head, and his battle robes seemed to absorb and reflect the firelight until he looked carved from shadow and flame. At the altar platform he dropped to one knee with his fist pressed over his heart.

"I wait here for my Luna, for my Queen, for the other half of my soul," Kaelen's voice carried across the silent grounds. The entire assembly dropped to their knees, three hundred voices crying out, "We welcome our Luna with open hearts and pledged loyalty."

I stepped to the tower's edge as Astraea pushed forward, her presence manifesting as a massive silver wolf projection behind me. I launched myself from the ledge, but instead of falling I stepped onto invisible stairs made of moonlight itself, each footfall sending ripples of silver energy cascading outward.

Astraea dissolved into countless points of light that swirled around me before forming a crown of moon flowers in my hair. The roar of approval was deafening.

Dad and Damian waited at the base, tears shining in their eyes. Together we walked to where Kaelen waited with his hand extended.

His fingers closed around mine, and our mate marks blazed to life—his golden wolf claw and my silver crescent moon glowing so brightly they cast visible light. The marks pulsed in perfect synchronization, gold and silver spiraling together until we were wrapped in radiant power.

The High Elder raised the sacred chalice. "Speak your vows before the moon and stars, and let your souls be bound for all eternity."

Kaelen's voice rang clear. "By Fenrir's blood that flows in my veins, I swear to protect and cherish you until the stars fall from the heavens and the moon itself grows dark. You are my mate, my Luna, my purpose and my home." He bit his thumb, letting three drops fall into the chalice where they spread in swirls of molten gold.

My voice shook but held steady. "By Astraea's light that guides my path, I swear to stand beside you until the silver moon falls and its radiance fades to nothing. You are my mate, my Alpha, my salvation and my forever." My blood dripped into the chalice, silver mixing with gold until the water transformed into liquid starlight.

The Elder lifted the chalice between us. "Drink and be bound, two souls made one, two hearts beating as a single force." Kaelen's hand covered mine as we raised the chalice to our lips.

The mate bond exploded into something vast and overwhelming, expanding until I could feel his very heartbeat, sense his thoughts as clearly as my own. Our souls had truly merged into something unbreakable.

THE END.
