Chapter 107 Epilogue
Vanessa's POV
"Mrs Blackwood"
My lips lifted up into a full blown smile. My heart swelled in my chest. I bit my lips before turning to face him.
"Mr Blackwood" I smirked at Richard, my husband.
He pulled me close by my waist, cupping my ass. "You look ravishing. I could take you here and now if our families were not coming over"
"And if I knew Becca too well, she'd be bursting in that moment you decide to take me on the island" I chuckled, placing my hand on his chest.
He leaned in, his breath lingered on my lips for a while before he took my lower lips into his, nibbling and sucking on it gently. I moaned into his mouth, pulling his hair softly.
"That was intense" A voice said, snapping us out of our little party. I knew it would only be one person.
"Rebecca Bethel" I glared at her
"Anderson now" She smirked at me. Yeah, she was married too.
"My bad." When my eyes came down to her stomach, all my anger flew out of the window. I released myself off Richard's embrace. "How's my little girl doing?"
"She's wild. I have this feeling she might be a pole dancer" Becca groaned.
"I've told you not to say that!" Matthew yelled from outside, announcing his presence.
"You owe me though if she becomes one" Becca shrugged, walking straight to my fridge. "What's in here?"
"Help yourself" Richard chuckled. "I love you" He pecked my temple softly
"Some man you purchased for yourself there, sis" Rebecca chuckled, stuffing her face with my special cake.
Well, she didn't know.
That was something we were going to announce later.
"Everyone is here, Mama. They're all here" Jayden ran down the stairs to the door.
"Don't run" I yelled, my heart skipping. As a mum, your heart skipped at every little thing your child did.
"I'm 10 mum!" He replied which earned some eye roll from me.
"How did he even know they were here?" I raised my eyebrow at Becca who shrugged nonchalantly.
Ahh, the window in his room.
In few seconds everyone began to troop in - My family and his family. Jayden usually loved it like this. I also did - well, aside the cooking and cleaning part.
"There you are!" My mother said, engulfing me in a hug.
"How did you get off your busy schedule? You too, dad?" I smiled, holding her tight.
"Would we ever live down this lane? We're grandparents now so we can take out a time or two?" My father ruffled my hair playfully.
"Auntie Vee!" Joanna ran into my arms. I managed to carry her up, groaning.
"You're so big"
Richard gave me some kind of look that only I would understand. I winked at him telling him I got this. I was being careful.
"But I'm taller" Jayden teased Joanna. They always bickered but showed much affection towards each other.
"I'm still older" Joanna eyed him.
When my mother moved aside, Autumn and Ethan came forward taking turns to hug me. "I know what your big announcement is" Autumn whispered
"What are you? A psychic?" I smirked at her.
Her eyes darted to my stomach. "I don't know what you're talking about" Chuckling, I moved towards Chelsea
And it just went on and on until I hugged everyone. Daisy, Joanna and Jayden played around while I began to set everything for the birthday and announcement. It was Jayden's birthday and so we decided to kill two birds with a stone.
"Everyone gather around" Richard said, helping me out to shout. He snaked his arm around my waist for support. He knew me so well.
I was getting tired.
"Water?" He whispered in my ear. Looking up at him, I nodded.
While he hurried to go get the water, Becca stood beside me. "Why's he all too caring?"
Feigning innocence, I shrugged. "Don't know" I muttered.
"Vanessa, are you -"
"Happy Birthday To You!" I started to sing, trying to get out of the question. They weren't going to break that news before me.
Everyone sang along with me and after that we shared the cake amongst ourself and also drinks for a start.
"My baby is kicking. That means food" Becca yelled.
"What she said" Matthew concurred.
"Not yet" Richard smirked, nodding at Chelsea. Chelsea and Ava smiled at each other.
"Everyone sit back. Including you, Vanessa" I understood so I sat down too
You could see the curiosity in everyone's face. "Hurry up already! You're killing us" Richards mum yelled, earning a laugh from my mum.
"Seconded" My mum said.
"Before we start, I'd love to say a few words to my wife"
"They're always sappy" Jayden groaned playfully.
"Be happy they're not like my parents" Joanna scoffed.
"We're here" Autumn shot at her.
"Oops" They both chuckled.
"Anyway..." Richard used his spoon to tap on his glass cup. A tingling sound filled the air. "Firstly, I want to thank you for giving me a second chance to redeem myself, My Love"
"You're welcome" I replied earning a chuckle from everyone.
"I want to also thank you for being the best mum to our kids." He winked at me. I got the joke. "I want to also express my heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone here, especially Bryan who couldn't make it to this place today for being there for her when I was being a dick. Fine me for profanities later"
"Damn right, I would" Autumn yelled.
"Me too!" Becca added
"Baby, you made me the happiest man on earth when you said yes to my proposal and I would forever cherish that moment" He blew me a kiss and I caught it, chuckling
"I knew you were the one for me when we met at the office. You ticked all my boxes and made sure you put me in check. Thank you for that" He chuckled, shaking his head.
"I did" I said proudly. "He was such a spoilt brat"
"Is that true daddy?" Jayden asked
"A discussion for when you're older, buddy" He winked at him. Jayden nodded.
"Wrap it up, you're making some of us cry" Sasha yelled
"Mostly the Singles. Right, Chelsea?" Ava added.
"Bitch, just you" Chelsea shot at her
"Anyway I want to let you know that as we grow in size, I'll always be by your side and my love for you would never fade." Richard smiled, nodding at Chelsea who clicked on turned off the light in the living room
Everywhere became dark.
"What's going on?" Someone asked.
Then the light came on and it was all Pink and Pink Smoke filled the air.
"Oh my God!" I cried, jumping up to hug my husband. He held my waist tightly.
"A mini you" He cooed in my ears.
Tears had begun to stream down my eyes as he rocked me side by side.
"You're pregnant?" Becca screamed, reminding me that it wasn't just my husband and I.
"Surprise?" I chuckled opening my arms.
"Damn you and your small baby bumps" Becca chuckled, hugging me sideways because of her bump.
"Congratulations" that was what I heard from everyone. My cheek burned from blushing so hard.
When I was done hugging everyone, my man pulled me into his arms.
"A mini me" I replied, holding him close.
He pecked my lips softly. "We're even now" He chuckled, placing a soft lips.
The cheers faded. All I felt was his hand on my waist and the pounding of my heart. We were clouded in our lust as we devoured each other's lips hungrily. When he pulled away, I panted breathlessly, tugging at his shirt lightly.
"I love you, Richard Blackwood"
"I love you more, Vanessa Blackwood"
