Dave Rages Again

"Damn it! Why do I keep losing corporate partners one after another? I'm not winning any tenders!" Dave threw a tantrum while throwing things around. It was a normal thing for him to do when he was feeling angry or upset at a situation that wasn't going his way.

"Calm yourself down, sir. You need to face this with a cool head." Dave's secretary tried to calm the man down. She was the new secretary who had only been serving Dave for a month because the old secretary had been injured in Dave's tantrum and had resigned.

"You're telling me to deal with the current situation with a cool head? How do I do that, huh? Tell me!" Dave asked his secretary in a high tone.

"The first thing you should do is calm down, sir." The secretary placed a glass of cold mineral water in front of Dave, hoping that his boss would drink the water and become a little calmer.

However, unexpectedly, Dave splashed the water on his secretary's face.

"Well, do you feel calm now?" asked Dave as he threw the glass in his empty hand at the wall, shattering it.

Dave's secretary could only close her eyes. Between the shock of being unexpectedly doused, and the shock of hearing the sound of the glass being thrown by Dave against the wall. Fortunately, the young woman was mentally strong enough that she did not give up even though she had often received harsh and unpleasant treatment from Dave, like now.

"Stop saying things if I don't ask you to. If you're still sassy, then that thing will hit you right in the head," Dave threatened.

"Sorry, sir. I didn't mean to be presumptuous," Dave's secretary replied while bowing respectfully.

"Now get out of my office!" Dave shooed his secretary away.

Once again Dave's secretary bowed to Dave, before leaving Dave alone.

He himself seemed to be exhaling rudely repeatedly while girdling his loins. The man was really annoyed that none of his work was going the way he wanted it to.

"What bad luck! Why did everything get messed up like this? It really sucks!" Dave again vented his frustration by destroying anything he could reach. This time it was the innocent objects on his desk that he slammed one by one. Not to mention a laptop that was currently on, displaying important information.

"You're mentally ill," muttered Dave's secretary whose face had been splashed with mineral water. Having been mistreated since the beginning of her employment had left the young woman with no respect for her boss whatsoever, though she couldn't show it openly.

The sound of items being thrown was quite noisy. It made her secretary Dave, who was sitting at his desk, sigh, thinking it was only fitting that the previous secretary resigned. If it continues like this, lives could be lost.

"Excuse me, Secretary Lan, is the Director inside?" One of Dave's subordinates asked the young woman who was often called Secretary Lan.

"Yes, sir. But I suggest you come back another time. The Director is not in a good mood right now," Secretary Lan replied.

"Gosh, why again?" Dave's subordinate who was a middle-aged man asked in a slight whisper. He was in an urgent situation and needed Dave's signature as soon as possible. But in the company, everyone knew Dave's temperament. If he came at the wrong time, instead of getting an autograph, he would get injured.

"Just received some unpleasant news. Probably failed to get more cooperation," Secretary Lan said while still trying to dry her upper clothes that were wet from the water.

Unlike most secretaries, this Secretary Lan did not seem to have any dedication to work, nor did she have much respect for the boss she served. She didn't hesitate to say anything about Dave to anyone who asked, as if it didn't violate the ethics of a secretary.

"Failed to get cooperation again?" repeated Dave's subordinate.

Secretary Lan nodded. "That's why you should come back later, when the Director is in a better mood. Look at my clothes, they're wet because he flushed them." Secretary Lan pointed at her wet clothes.

Dave's subordinate sighed rather heavily. If it wasn't an urgent situation, of course he wouldn't have hesitated to leave right away.

"I need the Director's signature right away," the middle-aged man said somewhat grumpily. If he left now, his work would be hampered. But if he dared to enter Dave's room now, he was in danger of getting an unnecessary injury.

"A signature from the current Director is worth your life, sir. Very expensive." Secretary Lan responded somewhat jokingly. At first the young woman had also wondered why the Great Food Company, which was known to be very strict in recruiting employees, could accept her so easily, apparently because the boss she was serving at the moment had qualifications beyond reason. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call him a bit crazy.

"I can't just go back, because I need the Director's signature right away. Can I wait here for a while?" Dave's subordinate later asked Secretary Lan.

"That's fine. Please have a seat, sir." Secretary Lan invited the middle-aged man to sit down. From what he had heard, many of the man's colleagues had now been fired or forced to resign. Surely now the man before him was trying hard not to get fired as well.

"Thank you, Secretary Lan. I'm sorry if I'm intruding," Dave's subordinate said to Secretary Lan.

"No problem. I actually prefer having a friend like this around. So that if the Director goes berserk, I'm not alone in dealing with him." Secretary Lan once again gave an answer that no secretary should ever utter.

"Yes." Subordinate Dave could only respond by scratching the nape of his itchy neck, not knowing what to say. On the one hand he was afraid of misspeaking, but on the other hand, he recognized the toughness of this young girl in front of him. Their director who liked to throw tantrums should indeed have a tough person like this as a subordinate.

"By the way, Secretary Lan, you've never had a vase thrown at you, have you?" asked Dave's subordinate then after a long time of waiting in silence. Of course he asked in a slightly whispered voice so as not to be heard inside Dave's office.

"I have." Secretary Lan replied as she examined some documents that had been left for Dave to sign. She looked so carefree.

"You didn't get hurt, did you?" Dave's subordinate asked again.

"No, I didn't. Since I found out that the Director likes to throw things when he's upset, I replaced the flower vase with a plastic one, even though it looks like a crystal," Secretary Lan said.

"Huh, that's right. We have to be smart to deal with bosses like that." Arthur's subordinate responded.

A moment later, both of them were silent and deep in thought.

"It looks like the Director has calmed down, sir. You can go inside," Secretary Lan then informed.

Dave's subordinate got up and fixed his appearance for a moment, then asked permission to enter Dave's office.

Dave gave his permission. However, not long after his subordinate went inside, he heard Dave getting angry again in a high tone. I don't know what else made the man angry this time.

Secretary Lan looked up at the entrance to her boss's room and just shook her head.

"Doesn't he get tired of being angry every day?" muttered Secretary Lan in a half-whisper.

The sound of items being thrown against the wall returned. At the same time, Chloe, who had now become a big mistress, came to see Dave. She looked surprised when she heard the commotion from Dave's study.

"What's going on inside?" Chloe asked Secretary Lan.

"Looks like the Director is angry again, ma'am," Secretary Lan said, smiling at Chloe.

Chloe was a little surprised to see her secretary Dave's expression at the moment. She was about to say something, but then she saw one of the company's senior employees come out of Dave's office holding his head which seemed to have been hit by Dave's tantrum.

"Oh my God, what has Dave done?" asked Chloe as she rushed inside to meet her unstable son.
