Giselle went back to her room and changed into a more suitable outfit for her home visit.
When she came back downstairs, she saw Ms sue coming towards her with a gloomy look on her face.
She doesn't look happy neither said.
“Ma'am Giselle, I forgot to tell you earlier z, the driver has taken a day off. His wife gave birth last night, so he couldn't make it today!
She said.
“Oh! Is that so?, you should have told me about it sooner, I would have sent some Jasmine oil over for the little kid!
She said beaming with joy.
Giselle has always been very fond of children and she has been wanting to have a child of her own, but then, she was forced to keep her desires to herself.
Nobody wanted to hear of it anyway.
Seemingly lost in thought, Ms. Sue cleared her throat to grab her attention back.
“Maam, how about I take the food to sir at the office, while you head out for the lunch meeting!
She asked, looking for a reaction, after giving it a little thought.
“I have told you to stop calling me ma'am when we are here alone. Call me Giselle”
She urged.
“Okay Giselle, what do you say?
“It's fine, don't worry about it. I will take the food to him, moreover, this is the first time he has asked me to cook something for him!
“I will deliver it to the office and leave for grandpa's house after that!
Giselle, grabbing a hold of the handler of the customized lunch box.
She got the lunch box made especially for him when they got married three years ago, and she never got the opportunity to serve him with it.
Today is her lucky day, her wish will finally have a sight.
The box is something she saw him care about so much, while they were growing up.
During that time, Zayn was so fond of his customized box that he wouldn't want to share it with his brother. She was the only person that got him to share it with her.
Her childhood memories are incomplete without him, or it should be that her life revolves around him.
He had come to her rescue when she lost way back then, but now he is the one that wants her out of the way so that he can spend his life with her instead.
After gazing at the box for a while, she took her purse from the table and walked out of the living room with Ms. Sue trailing her from behind.
“Take care of everything around here, I will be back soon"
Giselle said after stepping out of the door.
“I will Giselle, you should take care of yourself as well, be careful out there!
With that Giselle left and the door was slammed behind her.
Getting to the parking lot she took her car out and drive to the Meyer Groups.
She got out of the car and took the box along with her upon getting there.
Getting into the workstations, most of the staff stoop up to greet her since she has always been so friendly with them.
“Good day Ms. Giselle!
“Good day Ma'am "
“You look beautiful today!
“Look at her glowing skin, she must be having the best time of her life”
“She looks very elegant, I wonder what brand of lotion she is using, I mean lol at her already!
“Didn't you know that being married to the richest man in the country, and also the heir to the Medinas is a better lotion than any other!?
The staff kept murmuring among themselves, debating about her.
Although they try to keep it low she could still hear them.
With a painful heart, she wished they could come to know how much she's suffering being married to a man, who only comes home twice a year.
When the Secretary saw her approaching, she stood up from her cabinet and walked over to her in an attempt to stop her from going into the office.
“Good day Mrs. Meyer, what brings you here! ? I mean, why are you looking very different today? Is there a special occasion happening at home?
Sofia asked, trying to canoe her from moving any further.
When she realizes that Giselle looks at her with a disdainful gaze, she feigned a smile then switched the topic immediately.
“The thing is, sir is in a meeting with the investors. You can wait for him over here, and if you are in a big hurry, you can leave a message with me, I will let him know as soon as he is done with the meeting ”
Sofia suggested with a smile on her face.
Suspecting a foul play around more here actions were unusual.
Knowing how much of a professional freak Sofia is, she guessed there must be a problem before she could act so crinkly.
She took hold of her hand and handed over the lunch box.
With a constricted gaze, Sofia held the box tightly, trying so hard not to show her excitement.
“Give that to him and inform him about my presence ”
With that, she swerves around and left, leaving Sofia to gaze after her departing silhouette.
After a couple of minutes, Sofia heaved a sigh of relief, with her hand on her chest.
She attempted to leave for her cabinet, then one of the staff walked up to her with a curious gaze.
“What happened? why was the young mistress at the office!?
With a glint in her eyes, she exclaimed when Sofia didn't answer her first question.
“Oh, she brought you lunch! , it's must be nice, would you mind sharing it with me?
She asked again, smiling sheepishly.
“This is not for me, it's for the boss. You should better mind your business and focus on your work!”
“Such a poke-nosing freak, hmph! ”
“Leave my way!
Sofia yelled at her gently, trying to avoid getting the other people's attention on them.
The other woman moved away from her part and she walked past her.
With a vicious smile on her face, Maria tilted her head and a smile coined at the corner of her lips.
Walking into the office, Sofia clenched to the lunch box.
Upon getting into the room, she dropped the box on the table and made it to leave the room, just then, the door swung open and a man in all his glory walked in.
The man, who wore a frown on his face, looks like the most precious gem in the world.
His face looks dashing and shining like that of the radiation of the sun.
His entire body was evenly toned down to his legs, he has long legs that stood him out in the middle of the crowd.
Looking at him you would mistake him for a supermodel, he has the qualities to become one, though.
His blue eyes look like an abyss of darkness, longing for warmth and comfort.
The layer of frost on his face melted into warmth when his gaze fell on the customized lunch box on the table.
Walking a little distance, he asked the shuddered lady.
“What is that for?
Zayn asked in his sexy tone looking back for a reaction from the conflicted woman.
With a stuttering voice, she replied “Mrs. Meyer dropped by, I told her you were in a meeting so she asked me to give this to you!
She said baiting her eyelids repeatedly, then she left the spot and walk up to him.
She was about to take the box away when his eerie voice caused her to stop in her tracks.
“I never asked you have it taken away! , what are you doing? leave it, you may go!
He yelled gently with his hands in his pants pocket.
Jittering out of his sight, Sofia felt a bit relieved knowing that she wouldn't be blamed for anything that goes wrong with the food that she orders for him.
But on cond thought, Sofia felt a conflicting thought arise in her mind.
How could the boss allow the food cooked by Giselle in the office?
Does it mean he plans to eat it?
The bit that has never been done before!
Well, whatever happens, is for the best!
With her attention fixed on the figure of the man, unlocking the lid of the lunch box. She spontaneously bumped into a human wall.
With her hand sheathed on her head, she turns around to see the person, she had bumped into.
Upon seeing the angry dangerous look on the face of her victim, Sofia instantly became apologetic.
“I'm so sorry miss Medina, it's all my fault, I didn't watch where was walking!
She apologizes, trying to help contain the woman's anger, but she knew it won't be easy to cajole her.
It is very difficult to deal with it.
*“Watch where you walk, you ugly bat, it's sure is your fault, what if I have lost all of these?
Danica Medina roared at her angrily, rolling her eyes in disgust.
“You better watch your way next time, otherwise I will have you fired for being rude to me!
Danica warned with a threatening tone, then she walked away leaving Sofia to look at her dispatching way.
“She is such a vicious two-faced witch, I wonder why the boss chooses to spend his time with her instead of Mrs. Meyer”
“Ma'am Giselle is a great person, she doesn't deserve this pain!”
Sofia retorted after watching the woman leave.
While leaving, Danica turned back and saw Sofia gazing at her intently, she rolled her eyes to order her out of the room.
With a Whimper, Sofia the office slamming the door behind her.
Meanwhile, Danica walked up to Zayn with a bag of food. Zayn didn't notice her coming, since his mind and attention were focused on the layer of food on the table.
The lunch box contains several dishes, laid out in a different format.
When Danica saw the admiration on Zayn's face while staring at the food, Danica felt very offended.
Then she put on a sneaky smile, pretending not to have noticed the food.
“Hi baby, I bought us lunch, come on let's eat. I will set the table so long!
She said with a sweet gentle tone but deep down she was hurting, she felt her heart tearing into many Pierced.
She has spent the last couple of months planning on how to take over Medina's business empire, enthroning herself as the only heiress, while also taking over the position of Mrs. Meyer.
The position of Mrs. Meyer will give her so much respect and status in the Grande City, which will be a stepping to her bigger dreams.
Although Giselle was lucky enough to have all the things she ever desires, she doesn't know how to make use of them. Or take advantage of her position to create a rule.
What a foolish woman she is!!
Being the only one, who owns everything is what she wants and getting them is her only aim.
Exclaiming in a pretentious realization, when she saw the man swerve around with a frown on his face.
“oh! looks like you ordered for lunch already, I will have this thrown in tbs bin!”
After saying that, she picked up the package intending to dump it in the bin.
But Zayn spoke up first.
“What are you here? Why have you come here!
He asked with a cold tone, his gaze settled on Danica. She looks quite upset with the questions being thrown at her.
“I brought you lunch, I thought maybe you wouldn't be able to get decent hygienic food around here since I want busy I thought of bringing you lunch !”
She replied, dropping her hand hanging in the air.
“fine but you didn't have to. Moreover, I have told you...... ”
“Fine, You don't have to say it anymore, I'm leaving right away. Here! , have this thrown in the bin!
With that she stormed out of the office, wearing a twinge expression.
*********
Getting to Medina's old family house, Giselle took out all the bags of gifts she has brought for the family from her booth.
Struggling to carry them all by herself, the maid saw her from a far distance, then she alerted others and they came up to help her out.
Immediately, Giselle entered the living room, she was met with the cold gaze of the elders of the family.
Grandpa Medina is situated at the beginning of the round table, which signifies his authority as the head of the family, while grandma Medina was sitting close to him.
Both her aunts and uncles were all seated around the big dining table.
The maid was busy fishing put the food, while they wait impatiently for her arrival.
They wore an aggravated look on their faces since there were forced to wait for her before the commencement of the lunch.
“You are finally here, princess! , we have been waiting for you since forever!
Matilda said sarcastically, immediately she came into the hall.
“Shush, don't say anything else!
Uncle Fredo tried to shut his wife Matilda up from vexing his parents, oh! Also the only heiress.
“Don't shut me up Freddie, this girl needs to understand the value of our precious time!
Matilda fire back snarlingly.
“I'm so sorry aunt, everyone! I was caught up with an emergency, that's why I'm late!
She apologizes bending slightly.
“Oh Giselle my dear, I have missed you so much !”
Aunt Samantha said standing up from her seat, she went and scooped her into a warm hug, while plastering kisses on her cheeks.
“Mother, my daughter is finally here, now I can let you have peace of mind!
Samantha said giggling, and the rest of them joined in.
“You are not a good daughter, Giselle, how could you abandon your family for so long!, do you even know how much I suffered from missing you so much?
Sam asked again, making a pouty face.
“I'm sorry, aunt, I was caught with many cases and contracts I needed to finish, but now I will spend some time with you all!
After that, she went over and took her grandparent's blessing.
“happy third anniversary Giselle!
They all said with a smile, the loudness of their voices echoed throughout the room and they grinned from ear to ear.
“Why didn't Zayn come along with you for lunch?
Grandma asked in the middle of the celebration, Giselle was caught off guard. Thinking of a good excuse to cover up the whole mess.
She can't bring herself to tell her old grandparents about the things she is facing being married to the richest man in the country.
Words almost failed her, but before she could say anything about the question thrown at her.
A loud voice replied from behind.
“He must be busy with business meetings! so he doesn't have time for his plain Jane of a wife I'm sure of it!
