Chapter 115 Two Blood

Chapter 115 Two Blood
Lulu
Dylan was my only hope now.
If Dorian himself had been fooled by him, it meant Morpheus’s brother had magic that was almost on par with the Dark Sorcerers.
His presence offered a small ray of hope amidst the darkness in my mind, but what he said next made my blood run cold.
"The dimensional portal spell Vane used is shielded by a very thick layer of dark magic," Dylan said quietly, his sharp eyes fixed on me with absolute seriousness. "I can track Elijah, but I need a blood medium that directly binds his soul. The blood of both his biological parents."
My stomach dropped into a bottomless pit. My heart thundered in my chest, pumping raw panic through my veins. "Parents' blood?" I whispered softly.
"Yes," Dylan continued. "Your blood and his biological father's. The combination of that blood bond and my magic is the strongest medium we can use to break through Vane's dark barrier."
My mind instantly went into overdrive. A mix of confusion, shame, and stubborn pride sent a tremor through my body.
That meant I had to call Scott. The man who had shattered my heart, the Alpha I had completely cut out of my life, was the one I now had to ask for help.
Just the thought of facing Scott again made me sick to my stomach.
"Is there really no other way, Dylan?" I pressed, my voice shaking as I tried to keep my emotions in check. "Just use my blood."
My pride was sky-high. I couldn't bear the thought of showing any weakness in front of my ex. But Dylan firmly shook his head.
"It won't work, Lulu. Without the blood bond from both biological parents, my tracking spell will break before it can even penetrate the other dimension," Dylan explained calmly.
Without waiting for me to say anything else, Dylan grabbed a ritual dagger from the table and stepped towards Caspian. "In that case, let's start with Morpheus first."
"Wait!" I blurted out, stepping forward and catching Dylan's hand just as he was about to slice Caspian's palm.
Dylan stopped in his tracks. He looked at me, utterly confused, as did Caspian, who had been standing stiffly beside the map table the whole time.
"What's wrong, Lulu?" Dylan asked, his brow furrowing.
I swallowed hard, feeling the atmosphere in the room suddenly turn suffocatingly tense.
Lowering my voice, I told Dylan the bitter truth. "Morpheus isn't Elijah's biological father."
Dylan stiffened slightly, a look of surprise washing over his handsome face—a face so strikingly similar to Caspian's. "Wait, I don't get it. Aren't you two..." He trailed off, momentarily mistaking Elijah for Caspian's son since we were bound as mate wolves.
"No," I cut in quickly, darting a fearful glance at Caspian, whose face was hardening like granite. "Alpha Scott is Elijah's biological father."
The room fell dead silent. Dylan paused for a moment, processing the information before letting out a heavy sigh. "Lulu, listen to me. I understand how you feel, but I can't help if Scott doesn't provide his blood. Only your blood and Scott's carry the primary threads of fate needed to guide my magic straight to Elijah."
Regret and desperation washed over me, making my eyes sting with tears. For the sake of Elijah, my little baby who was currently in the hands of Dark Sorcerers, I had to swallow my pride and put my ego aside.
"Fine. I'll do it," I surrendered in a whisper.
Yet, a crushing wave of guilt hit me the moment I looked at Caspian.
The brave Alpha who had always protected me stood frozen, his jaw clenched tight, every muscle in his body visibly strained.
The heavy air of rejection and pain radiated clearly from his racing heartbeat.
It took Caspian a while to react. The tension in the room was thick with jealousy and the heartbreak he was desperately trying to hide.
After a agonizingly long pause, Caspian finally gave a slight nod, agreeing to summon Scott for Elijah's sake.
Without saying a single word, Caspian turned on his heel and walked out of the room. He took long, sweeping strides, leaving a cold chill behind that made me shiver.
Just as he disappeared past the door, a voice echoed through the Sapphire Water mind link.
Across the dead-silent pack link, I heard Caspian's deep, authoritative voice issuing a order to his right-hand man.
\[Beta Rohan, send a messenger to Emerald Earth immediately. Tell Scott about Elijah's abduction and demand his blood for the tracking ritual!\] His Alpha Tone left no room for argument. \[Do it now!\]
Hearing that command made my chest feel even tighter. Bitterly, I thought to myself: If it weren't for Elijah, I wouldn't see Scott again if my life depended on it. That man has been dead to me ever since he betrayed me.
Dylan let out a long sigh as he rolled up his robe sleeves. "I'll get started on the tracking ritual for Elijah right away," he said calmly.
As he walked out the door beside me, Dylan nudged my shoulder gently and whispered with a half-joking yet knowing smile, "You should go after him, Lulu. Morpheus is green with envy over your ex-mate."
Dylan's words made my heart sink further. I couldn't let Caspian's pain and this misunderstanding go unresolved.
Hurrying down the pack house corridors, I set off to find Caspian, trying to reach his mind through our link.
"Caspian, please talk to me," I called out gently in my thoughts.
Silence. No answer at all. Caspian was intentionally shutting me out.
I searched every corner of the main building—the training grounds, the balcony, the war room—but Caspian was nowhere to be found.
Anxiety mixed with sorrow overtook me. Desperate, my feet led me outside toward the wooded area at the back of the Sapphire Water territory.
I decided to head over to see Seer Esthenel. The old seer, who had been injured in the previous attack, might know where Caspian was—or at the very least, I could ask her to help me pray to the Moon Goddess for guidance and my baby's safety.
My shoes brushed against the wet grass as I made my way to Seer Esthenel's pavilion. But just as I reached the slightly ajar door, I froze in my tracks.
A deep, familiar voice drifted out from inside. Caspian was talking to Seer Esthenel.
I held my breath, having no intention of eavesdropping, but the chilling words Esthenel spoke from within sliced straight through me.
The seer's voice trembled with profound grief.
"...Fate has been bound by blood and darkness, Alpha," Seer Esthenel rasped, struggling for breath. "This bloodshed cannot be avoided. A soul will perish when the main clash with the Dark Sorcerers takes place..."
My blood ran cold. The world around me spun wildly as that dark prophecy rang in my ears.
"Dear Moon Goddess, please let me have heard that wrong. I can't bear the thought of anyone else getting hurt or dying because of me."
