75- The Promise of Eternal Love

POV- Eleonora Vitale.

Beep, beep, beep... This sound has become so present in my life since that episode. It hurts my soul every time it marks Viktor's heartbeat, and he's not in a position to speak or react when I talk about something, but it also brings me a little hope in seeing him wake up.

"Baby, you know... Renzo and Daniel are taking very good care of their company. Oh, and talking about Renzo, he is very happy with his son, our little Thiago. Vittoria, as she had said, did not want to know about the baby and sent herself to France. I'm helping our friend with what I can. There are days when I feel exhausted. There are so many problems, but everything would be solved if it came back to us, my love." I lie on his chest and cry like a little child, until I fall asleep.

I have no idea how much time has passed, but I wake up to Alessa's crying. I remain with my eyes closed and I have the feeling of being watched. I raise my head and look at Viktor, shaking my head when I see that it was just my imagination playing tricks on me.

I walk up to Alessa and take her in my arms, trying to calm her down. However, seeing that she would not stop crying, I sit in the armchair and put one of my breasts out. She grabs him voraciously, making me smile.

"You're hungry, aren't you, mio angelo? It even looks like he hasn't eaten for half an hour." Again I have the same feeling as minutes ago. I look again at Viktor, who obviously remains in the same situation. "My daughter, when will your father come back to us?" Alessa's curious eyes stare at mine, as if she were giving me some answer to my question.

Unfortunately, I'm not a telepath!

I walk out of my thoughts with someone knocking on the door. I take Alessa's blanket and cover my breasts, until I allow our visitor to enter. The figure of Daniel appears in my field of vision. He smiles when he sees me and enters the room further.

"Is it okay if I stay here with you?" I nod and smile friendly.

"I just spoke to the doctor, he said that Viktor has been showing more and more very significant improvements." He says looking hopeful, which makes me smile.

They didn't know each other until a few months ago, but Daniel has developed a huge affection for Viktor, so much so that, on some rare occasions, he calls him "fratello".

"Why are you smiling at nothing?" His voice makes me get out of my daydreams.

"I was here thinking about how you developed a great affection for Viktor." He arches his eyebrow and says:

"Viktor accepted me so well that it somehow makes me a little happy. All that went through my mind before we got closer was that he might reject me. I was very surprised by his acceptance." We both smiled.

I realize that Alessa ended up falling asleep, so I adjust my clothes and get up with them in my arms, taking her to the car seat. Then I go near the window and observe the movement of cars through the streets.

"Thank you." I find myself whispering. I feel Daniel's presence by my side. "For staying here and helping us with everything." Complete, turning towards him. Daniel smiles slightly and approaches, taking me by surprise with a hug.

"Tutto per la famiglia!" He says. We are interrupted by someone scratching our throat. We looked towards the door, but there was no one.

My heart starts beating strongly in my chest. My vision goes to Viktor, who stares at us with a frown. I widen my eyes and walk slowly towards him, mentally wondering if what I see is real.

"You've woken up..." Whisper, it's not a question, it's happily a statement. I go to him and hug him with all my strength, as if my whole life depended on it. "Only heaven knows how many days and nights I asked you to return to me." His arms surround me, and he kisses the top of my head.

"Xiiii, my love... It's okay, I'm with you now." He runs his hand through my hair, making me feel the touch I longed to have for days. I move away from the same, who wipes my tears and stares at me affectionately. "How long did I sleep?"

"Two months." I say, and he widens his eyes slightly, but he composes himself. Then I go further back, so that he and his brother can greet each other.

"It's... Do you feel something?" Daniel asks, a little awkwardly, approaching and extending his hand to Viktor, who also extends his. But she ends up pulling Daniel into a hug. The two embrace, demonstrating the brotherly love they feel for each other.

As if guessing, Alessa decides to wake up from her sleep. "Sixty seconds." She cries, so that someone can take her away from the comfort baby.

Then I go to her and take her in my lap, which makes her crying stop at the same time. Daniel helps Viktor sit down.

"Heavens, Nora... Bring it to me. I need to feel la mia piccola principessa in my arms." I smile and lead her to Viktor, who extends his arms and welcomes her. "Angelo mio, papà ti ama moltissimo." Kiss your forehead.

We ended up being surprised by the doctor responsible for Viktor's condition. Who enters the room and is amazed by the scene. We smiled with guilt, because what we should have done is to call him immediately, to perform important tests. We were scolded and left the room, to let him do some tests on Viktor.

Soon after, we returned, and the doctor said that the results would come out after a few hours, and if there was no problem, we could take Viktor home tomorrow.

THE NEXT DAY...

"I'll finally be able to go home!" Says Viktor, all happy and stretching. He comes to me and leaves a kiss on my cheek. I smile at his gesture of affection, as I pack a bag with his belongings.

"Dona Suzana is looking forward to seeing you." I comment, and it's Viktor's turn to smile.

"I'm also looking forward to seeing her." He says, then remains silent and staring into space for a few seconds, until he asks: "And what happened to Antonella and Sofia? Have you been able to arrest them?"

"Yes, but Sofia..." I sigh heavily. "Sofia is dead." He becomes static and arches his eyebrow. "She had cancer and was already terminally ill. They couldn't do anything to save her." I say sadly. Viktor comes to me and says:

"Hey, you know very well that I would never wish anyone's death. But Sofia deserved the end she had. She tried to kill him and even kidnapped our daughter." I agree, he is right.

Sofia did molti mali, but I hope with all my heart that she will be forgiven.

"Come, let's go home." He says. So we leave the hospital and go to our new home. Which Daniel took care of buying while Viktor was in a coma. In fact, he doesn't know about it and will have a big surprise.
