33. Last Night
**33. Last Night **
“I know who Ceasar fucked last night... And it wasn't you.”
His words don’t sink in me but just float in my head. My eyes couldn’t blink nor my lungs work as I go into a state of deep shock.
Ceasar fucked last night?
A few hours ago?
And it wasn’t me?
I feel an intense throb in my stomach as if someone punched me. My heart rattles in my chest violently as his words now melt in me.
*No!*
*This is not happening.*
Since the last few days, my emotions have been causing havoc in my chest. Nothing has been under the control of me, my thoughts nor does my feelings. They were just all over the place.
Scattered.
But today, it's *chaos.*
The pieces of information and my feelings are caught up in a whirlwind and are piercing through me from all directions. Like someone mercilessly stabbing me with a six-inch sharp knife.
It was starting to feel like a noxious panic attack, like a fatal brain stroke, a mortal heart attack, or a deadly paralysis attack.
*No, no, no-o-o.*
I tried to shut down,
My heart and its account.
But the pain keeps on rushing in,
Like tiny goosebumps on my skin.
“Who was on your bed last night when I called you, cheesy?” Cason asks assertively, his icy grey eyes land on me and I feel chills run down my spine as he sneers, “Definitely not her.”
*It can’t happen, I talked to him last night only.*
*He wouldn’t do that.*
“You are lying.” My lips shudder as I whisper in disbelief. I don’t know if I believe Ceasar or not, but I am sure I don’t believe in Cason.
He is malicious and manipulative. And if I am not wrong, he is a big liar as well.
“Am I?” Cason scoffs ridiculously.
Suddenly I feel hot lips below my ear, brushing on my sensitive skin as they plant wet kisses while proceeding down. My body shiver with the sudden intrusion of carnal sensation.
Ceasar’s lips suck on my skin as they slowly descend to the base of my neck as he says, “Are you done?” His thick hoarse voice resonates through me as his teeth graze my shoulder, leaving little bites.
I wanted to push him away and scream at him for answers but my body stays still under his tongue’s command. I freeze under his musky scent of aftershave as he engulfs me in his arms protectively and growls, “Is that why you came here?”
The smirk on Cason’s smug face doesn’t vanish as he straightens up. My head hardly reaches his chin as he stands on his two long legs looking at his twin, “I just came to check up on you. What are you up to nowadays?”
My emotions are fucking up with me, raw and with no protection. My chest heaves up and down thinking of possible situations, wondering who is playing whom.
Ceasar hums near my ear, his hand curls up to squeeze the side of my ribcage as he purrs, “Satisfied?”
Cason throws his head back and laughs wickedly. His raw humorless laugh echoes through the walls of the kitchen. “You know me, bro. I am so hard to satisfy.” He snickers looking at me.
Ceasar pays no attention to his brother as he continues to wipe my skin with his tongue, his thumb strokes the corner of my left breast as he deeply moans, “Are you gonna stay and watch the whole show?”
My cheeks turn red and I look away shamefully. Whereas Cason doesn’t budge, his smirk stays on his smug face as maliciously grins, “Ah! You should have invited me to your previous show with Irene as well.”
*Irene?*
Ceasar's body goes stiff, he takes a honed sharp breath and straightens up. His shoulders swell dangerously as he takes two steps towards his twin and forwarns in a low growl, “You can stay in our home, but stay out of my business, Cason.”
Both the men fiercely gaze eye to eye at one another. I could hear war music being played in the background as they stand in opposition.
“Chill bro. I’ll be right to the hall if you need me.” Cason walks away inaudibly, leaving me and Ceasar alone in between the silence of doubtful questions.
“Who is Irene?” I ask my mind out.
My ears ring heavily with my own voice as my brain continues to probe like a broken record, spinning in circles, asking me why the fuck did he not deny sleeping with anyone last night? WHY?
“Project marketing head.” He says uninterestedly as he walks away from me to fetch another beer bottle from the fridge. *So they work together.*
*Is she hot?*
*Is she pretty?*
*And non-pregnant with a flat belly?*
“Did you sleep together?” My voice comes out rough as if someone rigorously scraped the insides of my throat with sandpaper.
Ceasar says nothing, nor does look at me. His shoulders remain stiff as he continues to chug the booze uneasily.
“Is she your.. girlfriend?”
Still no reply.
I bite my lip to control my feeble whimper as I ask him in a bare minimum whisper. “Do you love her?”
I flinch back in fear as I hear a loud thrashing sound of the tin can, followed by an aggrieved hurl, “Oh god no, I don’t love her. It's just a casual office affair.”
I blink rapidly as his words sink in me. The use of present tense doesn’t go unnoticed by my poetic brain.
Sharp pain ignites my eyes as I imagine him wrapped up in another girl’s arms, touching her sexually, dirtying the sheets while he fucks the daylights out of her as she continues to moan his name on and on again.
My throat clogs and my mouth goes dry as those gut-wenching words push out of me. “So you did sleep with her… After you talked to me.”
This time he looks at me.
His eyes look empty, no sign of emotions float in them as they appear completely adrift from the shore. Ceasar’s shoulders dip depressingly as he says, “We just shared the hotel room.”
*So she was there with him. Sharing the bed. For a whole fucking week.*
Emotions churn in me violently. I gulp down the meltdown as it works its way up to the surface, but I deny it.
“Are you saying nothing happened last night?” I ask him hollowly.
Ceasar still stays silent.
My chest squeezes painfully as he remains silent. Seconds pass, more seconds pass but he doesn’t speak anything.
My feet move on their own as if they are programmed. I look up at his icy cold eyes that lurk into mine emotionlessly. Suddenly, I feel distant, miles away from him though we are just inches apart.
He didn’t cheat on me, because we weren’t together. But it feels so much like betrayal, my shoulders curl in and my chest collapses beneath a thousand doubts.
“Tell me. What you did last night?” My skin burns with humiliation, disgust, and anguish.
Suddenly his ask grey eyes change color, they grow darker as if he is having a personality change. Incense wrath percolated through his globe as he grabs my arm and snarls, “You asking me? What the fuck *you* did last night?”
“Excuse me?” I flinch from his tight clutch.
Ceasar’s eyes snap at me, sudden rage whisk in them as his shoulders swell broad and he growls, “Don’t try to act like you didn’t enjoy your night at the club.”
His voice laced with venom as he spoke every word with a death threat wrapped around them. I step back as his icy glare lifts the hair on my nape.
“What do you mean?” I question my own sanity.
Ceasar’s eyes forge with steel as he snarls, “It was easy for you to forget the owner, but remember to use his credit card for casual sex.”
*The fuck?*
I try to push him as the pain shoots in my arm with his indurating grip, but the motherfucker doesn’t budge. Not even an inch.
*He is crazy.*
I have never seen him so mad. Hell, I have never seen him angry ever. It’s like he is converting into an animal, a brainless havoc.
“Tell me, Joycelyn." A roar turbulates throught his chest, "Are you that desperate to get fucked?"
