Epilogue (2)-3
"Are you okay, Bella? Did he do something to you?" Gabriel asked me in concern. I hugged Gabriel and said, " I'm fine." Nate walked to Tristan and helped him from getting up from the floor. "Did he hurt you, Bella?" Nate asked me, holding Tristan's arm. "Why would I hurt her when I love her?" Tristan's asked, Nate. Gabriel let go of me and punched Tristan in the face. "She is my wife, you bastard!" Then he punched him again, grabbing his shirt. "How dare you kidnap her?" He shook him, violently. "When are you going to get this through your head that she doesn't love you?" Tristan day on the floor with his mouth bleeding. I grabbed Gabriel's arm and pulled him back before he would lunge at Tristan again. "Don't hit him, Gabriel. There is something wrong with him," I said, grabbing my husband's arm. "Yes, something is wrong with him! He wants to force you to love him when you don't love him. He's fûçking crazy!" Gabriel said shoving Tristan back. "Gabriel, calm down," Nate said pulling Tristan behind him. "Let's go, Gabriel. Leave him alone," I told him, pulling with me. "I'm not leaving until he is locked behind bars or in some asylum where he belongs to. I can't take another risk with your safety anymore," he yelled. I flinched knowing that he wasn't wrong. Tristan pushed Nate aside and pulled the gun out from his pocket. "Leave her alone. You have to leave her alone at least in my dreams!" Tristan yelled pointing a gun at Gabriel. Gabriel pushed me behind him to protect me. Nate cursed under his breath and ran towards the washroom. I walked to Tristan. "What are you doing, Bella?" Gabriel yelled. I didn't turn to him and maintain eye contact with Tristan. "Who am I?" I asked Tristan. He struggled to speak he said, "You're my abducted love." "Give me this gun, Tristan," I told him, extending my hand. "No, you will leave me again," he said. "I will not," I said touching his hand and taking the gun. Tristan pulled me in a hug and I didn't push him away. Nate took the gun from my hand and placed some pills in my hand. "Do you love me, Tristan?" I asked him, pulling away from the hug. "I love you and I always will," he said. "Then take these pills," I said,?putting pills in his mouth. Then I took the water from Nate's hand and made him drink it. He stared at me with dropping eyes. Suddenly his body gave out and Nate caught him. He took him to bed and made him lay down then he turned to us. "What was that?" Gabriel asked me, looking angry. "What is wrong with him?" I asked Nate. Nate sighed with tearful eyes. "Someone tried to murder him six months ago and he got shot in the back of his head," Nate said. I gasped in shock. "He doesn't know the difference between hallucination and reality anymore. He gets seizures when he forgets to take his medicines. He forgets everything, even his name, his face, but sometimes he remembers that he loves Bella and wants to go after her," Nate said. A tear rolled down from my eyes and I wiped it off. "The bandage on the back of his head..." "It's a bullet. They left it there because it was too dangerous to remove it from his brain," Nate said. I felt bile rising to my mouth and ran towards the washroom. I puked my guts out when Gabriel came behind me. I washed my mouth and hugged him. "He is in so much pain. He had a seizure last night. I thought he was dying," I said, sobbing in his chest. "It's not your fault, Bella," Gabriel said stroking my head. "It's my fault. He loves me and I can't love him back. Why did he fall for me? Why?" I asked him. "Please, love, stop crying. Stress is harmful to our baby," Gabriel told me, kissing my head. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down myself. Gabriel and I made my way out to find Nate sitting on the couch. "How can I help him, Nate?" I asked Nate. "You can't help him. No one can help him, Bella. Just leave and change your name so he wouldn't be able to find you again. When he recalls you he starts looking for you and finds your details," Nate said. "No, tell me, if I can help him in any way?" I asked him. "You want to help him?" Nate asked, looking angry. "Can you love him? Can you stay with him and leave Gabriel? Would he be able to see you taking care of the man who tortured him for hours?" I stayed silent, knowing that I couldn't do anything that he mentioned. "Bella, do him a favour and change your surname. Change your locations and live your life. You don't owe Tristan anything unlike me. He is my brother and I owe him my life. I will take care of him until my last breath," Nate said, staring at Tristan. "He will not come after you again. I will make sure of it. I forgot his room unlocked last night and he went missing. I was looking for him when Gabriel called and told me Tristan had you," he added. I stared at Tristan and Nate grabbed my arm. "Bella, think about your baby, Gabriel, and your future. Don't think about Tristan." I nodded my head, knowing he was right. I took hold of Gabriel's hand. "Let's go," I told him. We changed our surname and moved back to the USA. Tristan didn't come after me again but I kept in contact with Nate. Gabriel hated them for putting my life and his daughter's life in danger. I still remember what he called me that night. "You're my abducted love." I felt a hand stroking my cheek and I opened my eyes to find Gabriel gazing at me with concern. I was in our room while the doctor was standing there. "What happened?" I asked him, sitting up on the bed. "You fainted, love. The doctor said it happened because of stress," Gabriel said. I remembered what I heard before the line went dead. "Nate put Tristan out of his misery," I told him, placing my head on his chest. "Fûçk! I knew he was going to do something stupid," Gabriel cursed. "His man killed Nate," I told him. Gabriel hold tightened around my torsos and I knew he wasn't expecting to hear that. I cried on his chest for the loss of my brother and the man who made the mistake of falling in love with the wrong girl. Gabriel rubbed my back, mumbling soothing words in my ear and reminding me how much he loved me.
