Going to Work

"Sister-in-law, please," Hans said, raising his hand and opening the back door of the car for me. A gentle smile radiated from his face, giving a warm and welcoming impression. I felt like a princess as he graciously invited me into the car with such politeness.

Observing his actions, all I could do was smile with appreciation. "Thank you, Hans," I softly said, expressing sincere gratitude for his kind behavior.

Once I got into the car, Hans carefully closed the back door and walked to the driver's side. His sturdy physique and attentive demeanor signaled a rare combination of care and professionalism. As he started the car's engine, I felt a sense of warmth and comfort in his actions.

This young man, I thought with a smile.

"Thank you again, Hans," I genuinely said, conveying deep gratitude for his assistance.

Hans responded to my smile with one of his own. "No problem, sister-in-law. Don't hesitate to rely on me," he kindly said, showing that he was always ready to help and serve.

We set off with the smooth sound of the car's engine, indicating the beginning of our journey. As the car drove, I felt the gentle vibrations of the ride, and my gaze wandered out the window, enjoying the surrounding scenery.

After a while, Hans broke the silence with a surprising question. "Hey, sister-in-law, can you tell me how you and Ray met?" he asked with a curious tone.

Hans' question brought me back to the first time I met Ray. My eyes lit up in that reverie, feeling the warmth and joy as the memories flowed back. Unconsciously, my lips broke into an inevitable smile.

"Eh? Sister-in-law, you're smiling! Wow, look at this. Your meeting must have been very romantic, right? Did you both meet at a dazzling party with beautiful music playing? In the midst of the crowd, you accidentally bumped into each other. Then... Ray quickly caught you, whoa... his warm hands held you so you wouldn't fall. And in that moment, the world seemed to stop spinning, and there were only the two of you, captivated by each other's gaze filled with wonder. Howuahhh, that must have been extraordinary. Oh, or maybe you and Ray met in a beautiful flower field, where blooming flowers soothed the heart. Amidst the beauty of nature, you walked together, smiling and sharing stories with laughter that made the heart flutter. Ah, how romantic it was to meet in moments like that!" Hans exclaimed his imagination with enthusiasm, his eyes sparkling like a child listening to a fairy tale.

Listening to Hans' imagination about our first meeting, I couldn't help but let out a small laugh that escaped from my lips. "Haha, no, Hans. Our actual meeting was..."

"Yes, sis, how was it?" Hans continued to gaze at me, curiosity enveloping his bright face.

"We met at the beach, Hans. That's it," I replied with a gentle smile, trying to contain the amusement in my heart. The truth was, our meeting wasn't as picturesque as Hans' imagination, but it made it unique and memorable for me.

"Wow... that must have been amazing!" Hans exclaimed, imagining something with his eyes sparkling. My mind wandered, trying to envision what was going on in his head.

"Hans, watch out!" I suddenly shouted, seeing the car in front of us abruptly stop. I felt my body lurch forward as Hans slammed on the brakes.

"Heyy! Drive properly!" the angry person shouted, who was nearly hit by Hans. His face was filled with surprise and anger.

Hans immediately rolled down the car window and apologized anxiously. "I-I'm sorry, sir," he stammered with nervousness and a trembling voice.

"Apologize for us, sir," I said, bowing my head with regret.

"Huh!" The other driver shook his head in annoyance and continued on his way.

Hans took a deep breath, feeling sad about his mistake. "Hans, you have to be more careful when driving," I reprimanded him with a soft but firm voice.

Hans closed the car window again and turned to me with a remorseful expression and a lowered head. "Forgive me, sister-in-law. I almost endangered you," he said with a voice full of regret. It was evident how much he regretted his mistake.

I exhaled slowly, trying to calm the atmosphere. "It's okay, Hans, but you have to be more careful in the future, alright?"

"Em!" Hans nodded sincerely, trying to overcome his guilt. After that, he continued the journey with more caution.

Breemmm! The car glided forward, smoothly cutting through the road.

Finally, I arrived at my cosmetics company, a place that inspired me to start the workday.

Upon reaching there, Hans promptly opened the car door for me, his head still slightly bowed, filled with guilt. "Sister-in-law, I apologize for almost causing harm to you," he said while bowing respectfully.

"Oh, you! Don't worry, look! I'm fine now," I replied.

"Sister-in-law, I'm truly sorry, I was at fault," he said with a voice full of regret, his head still lowered, adorned with a sad expression.

I smiled and gently held his shoulder. "It's okay, Hans. Really! Don't look like that, besides, I'm fine, and thank you for driving me," I said appreciatively, giving him a morning smile as a sign of gratitude.

"Sister-in-law, you're really..." Hans paused for a moment, his eyes radiating deep admiration, but then he quickly got into the car. "Sis, I have to go now."

Bremmmmm!

The car sped away quickly, leaving me still watching Hans' departure with astonishment.

"Eh?" I was momentarily surprised, trying to figure out what was going on in his mind. However, I shook my head and walked towards my cosmetics company.

In my mind, a pile of pending tasks awaited me, but I decided to tackle them one by one with determination. I took a deep breath, prepared myself, and filled my spirit as I walked towards the entrance of the company.

As I made my way through the corridor towards my workspace, everyone stared at me in silence.
