Now I wonder why Cara felt shy and uncomfortable about expressing how I feel towards her in public . She has always been a big fan of PDA . I normally am the shy and private type so I am not so into publicly showing affection, but I will always do everything in my might to show how much I love Cara and how dedicated I am to making her happy . I walk into my office, pick up my key and head to the elevator that leads to the parking lot .
I get to the entrance of the elevator and see Cara and Veronica standing there waiting to get in .
“Hey Cee “Cara recognizes my voice and turns back .
Veronica looks back in shock as her eyes are wide open.
“Ohh Liam, You’re still around , I thought you went home already ?”She says stammering.
I can tell that she’s so uncomfortable with my new habit of showing affection towards her at the office . I’m eager for everyone in this building to get the message because Cara is very attractive and that doesn’t go unnoticed by the male workers in this building. I’ve done my research. Left to me I’ll erect a billboard right in front of the building that says every male gender in this building should stay away from Cara Bloom.
“I had a couple of things to sort out , and I was convincing mum to help pick my little princess at her school. I have some matters to attend to” I respond as I clear my throat at intervals .
“Veronica and I can pick her up from school, so you don’t have to stress Mrs Johnson, if you do not mind though.” She adds with a smile on her face this time around.
“Moreover it’s been a while we got Ice-cream, some jelly beans and cookies together. I miss spending time and playing with Little Laura , she is the cutest, prettiest and smartest little girl I have ever met.”
I take my time to ponder over it and I realize instantly that if I certainly want something deep and special with Cara again , I will have to let Laura and Cara spend time together as much as possible. Besides they connect so good, Laura has suggested on few occasions to call Cara Mum.
“ You win Cara, you can pick her up from school and spend as much time as you want to with Laura , I’m willing to share her with you. Please watch her closely She moves with the wind lately . Always running around swiftly , she’s been talking a lot lately too” I say with a grin on my face .
Cara’s happiness gives me so much peace and satisfaction. I can watch her smile all day . I would do anything in the world to be the reason why Cara’s always happy especially considering that she has been through horrible things.
“I will reach out to Mom , I will ask her not to bother and she should go for her spa sessions instead. I’ll tell her you have it all sorted out . Thank you Cara” I say smiling from ear to ear while staring at her for a couple of seconds . I could never get over Cara’s beauty. Her perfection cannot be over emphasized. The elevator door opens and it is finally free. I usher Veronica and Cara into the elevator . The look on Veronica’s face is priceless. She looks scared and at the same time amused. They both stand there looking at me till the elevator door shut in our faces . I heave a sigh of relief because the tension from both sides was absolutely overwhelming. I am certain Veronica has a lot to say right now . This is a different version on me that She has never seen in her two years of working with me . I get into my car and drive happily to my therapist’s office to share with her the good news . I can finally express how much I love Cara.
I can tell it’s certainly not lust I feel a question my therapist has thrown at me quite a few times. I’ve been sleeping great because Cara and I are now on good terms and the feeling of abandonment is starting to wear off knowing she didn’t just leave and end things with me because she wanted to but because she was looking out for me. I have not been this happy in so long . I keep whistling until I arrive at my therapist’s office . I highlight from the car and check myself out at the reflection on my window .
I am certainly a very handsome young man . I smile hard as I walk into the office.
“Wow Liam , you are beaming with so much happiness which is a good thing. The last time you left here you were looking sad and broken. I can see you feel a lot better. You even look it. I will love to hear all about the reason for this intriguing mood. You are glowing right now , you should see for yourself.”she says with her countenance showing how impressed she is about this recent development.
I tell her all about how Cara talked at arm’s length and how we’ve connected so well on different levels these past few weeks and how we are willing to give us another chance.
“We will take it one step at a time though, we do not intend to rush things. “ I add.
“I am really pleased Liam, you worked really hard on yourself and you deserve every ounce of happiness you feel right now and you will feel even better when it is all settled.”
“How is Laura?, how does she feel about Cara?”she asks.
“ Ohhh She definitely loves Cara. She wants to spend so much time with her as much as she can . She asked if she could call Cara mom.” I add.
“I am so glad to hear all these Liam, I will love to meet Cara soon though. I want to talk to both of you together, can you ask her to come around ?”
“Cara is busy most of the time but I will try my best to make her come around.”
My therapist stretch her hand out to me and I shake her happily. She has been very helpful to me. She sees me off to the parking lot.
“Thank you so much “ I say handing her the bag of gift I got her in appreciation for her patience and assistance. I drive off to the house hurriedly to get everything in place before Cara gets back . I even got her a really nice pair of necklace and bracelets I saw at the jewelry store yesterday, They cost a lot but I will do anything for Cara. I got two perfume bottles too. I get into the shower and sing with so much passion with my eyes closed and thoughts of Cara running through my mind.
