Wedding/ Coronation Ceremony!
Wedding/ Coronation Ceremony!
Scarlett smiled warmly as she stared at the fire. When she heard gasps from the pack, she looked up at the sky. The moon was directly shining on her.
"It appears that the moon goddess has accepted you, my love. She has always done that." Simon whispered to her.
"Now. We come together as a group to bless these lovely couples. Alpha and Luna." The council's chairman cast a glance at Simon. "Please go ahead and put that flower crown on her head."
Simon took the crown and placed it on Scarlett's head. It was a beautiful night, and he'd never expected the entire pack to accept Scarlett without a fight. Simon recalled his conversation with Mace that afternoon, following his lovemaking with Scarlett. He had Mace mindlinked to come over for a chat. When Mace arrived, Simon had left Scarlett, who was sleeping, to meet up with him outside the house.
"I needed to speak with you about something. It is extremely important, and I require your assistance." Simon had said.
"What is it?" Mace asked.
"I intended to marry Scarlett tonight."
"Are you insane?" Mace yelled instantly. He certainly wasn't expecting it.
"I am still your Alpha." Simon said. He cleared his throat. "Hear me out. I love Scarlett and she loves me, so what's the problem with that?"
"She is still 18 years old. She has a human life to live as well as a school to attend. That is the problem."
"Do you think I didn't think about that?"
"No, you didn't." Mace said.
"Yes, I did, and Scarlett is willing to give it up to become my Luna."
Mace took a deep breath. "Is that what you want? Is that what you think she wants? Don't you think this is moving too quickly?"
"Mace. You are my best friend, and I would appreciate it if you could help me right now. I tried to persuade her when she said she was quitting school to stay here and perform her duties as Luna. But you already know how obstinate Scarlett is. I didn't want her to leave me again, so I just gave in to her demands. She's 18 and legal, and she knows exactly what she's doing. Who will stand up for her if I don't?"
Mace cast a long glance at him. He has a valid point. Scarlett is a stubborn person. "Don't hurt her, Simon. I could despise you for that."
"I love her. I promise I won't hurt her."
"Then I'll get ready for her coronation. I'll rally the pack's support and have them attend your wedding/coronation."
Simon turned around and saw Mace. He nodded slowly at his friend and mouthed. "Thank you very much."
As he watched his friend's wedding under the moonlight, Mace nodded.
"Take this bowl of clean water and feed it to him," the council's head said. Scarlett reached for the bow and fed the water to Simon. He did the exact same thing. "Now. You may kiss your Luna."
Scarlett smiled as Simon drew her in closer. After that, he leaned in for a kiss. The two of them didn't break away until they heard low groaning coming from the entire pack. When Simon broke away, he couldn't help but laugh. He and Scarlett were both so engrossed that they forgot the ceremony was still going on.
The council's leader took out a rope and tied the two of them together, saying, "Remember, tonight is a holy night, and make sure no blood touches either of you. If it does, I'm afraid bad luck will enter your home—and the entire pack."
"Yes. We understand." Simon and Scarlett said in unison.
"Congratulations on bringing Luna to us, Alpha Simon." The head of the council said as he released them from the rope.
"Congratulations on bringing Luna to us, Alpha Simon." The whole pack responded.
The ceremony concluded, and Simon invited the pack into the mansion for a fantastic party. Drink wine and enjoy themselves. Scarlett examined herself in the mirror. Her gaze fell on the flower ring that was on her finger. The only people who knew she could hold onto silver were Simon, Mace, Adolpha, and Anton. The rest of the pack is unaware that she carries an ancient wolf within her.
Scarlett changed into a black dress from the late Luna's closet after removing the white dress. She turned around when she heard the door open. "You are here?"
Simon walked in. "I see that you have changed so quickly."
"I love the dress so much. I couldn't let anything happen to it." She fixed her gaze on him. "Why don't we go downstairs and meet up with the rest of the pack?"
"Speaking of the pack, did you see Adolpha and her brother? Uncle Viggo didn't even show up to the ceremony. It is my ceremony. It is mandatory that they be present. Do you think that they are defying me?"
"You shouldn't get worked up about this. You know how much they hate me. I doubt they'd want to attend a ceremony about which I'm concerned."
"However, they are my family. They should be all supportive."
Scarlett linked her hands through his. "Let's go. They will come around. I know so." She and Simon exited the room together. Scarlett noticed a small boy running towards them as she approached the party.
"You look stunning, Luna," the boy said.
Simon burst out laughing. "This is my brother, Flint." Simon introduced.
"It's no surprise. I see a lot of similarities and resemblances. Flint, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Wow. I had no idea my brother's wife would also be human. How cool is that?"
Simon sighed and rolled his eyes. "You can go now. Scarlett has a lot on her plate."
"Alright. But I will be back!" Flint said. "Goodbye, Luna." He waved at Scarlett.
Scarlett returned his wave as he watched him run out of sight. "He is a pleasant child."
"That is Flint for you."
Scarlett's arms were folded across her chest. "I like him."
"And I can tell he likes you as well."
