Chapter 89: The courtroom

woke up resting my head on the pile of paper on my desk, I slept off despite drinking coffee. I opened my eyes and blinked, trying to focus. I realized that I had fallen asleep at my desk, my head resting on a pile of papers. I sat up, feeling groggy and disoriented. I looked around, trying to get my bearings. The room was dark, and I could hear the wind blowing outside the window

I walked out of the study room and down the hallway. The lights were dim, and the floorboards creaked under my feet. I walked past a few closed doors until I reached my bedroom door. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. I could see my bed, neatly made, and I felt a wave of exhaustion wash over me

I walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge. I took off my shoes and socks, and I let out a deep breath. I knew I needed to get some rest. I lay down on the bed, and I closed my eyes. As I drifted off to sleep, I felt a sense of relief, knowing that I would wake up rested and ready to face the day

I slept soundly for several hours, and when I awoke, I felt refreshed. I sat up in bed and stretched, feeling the stiffness in my muscles from sleeping in an awkward position. I got out of bed and walked to the window, and I looked out at the day outside. The sun was shining, and the sky was a clear blue.

Even though I missed breakfast, I knew it didn't matter. Spending time with my family was more important. I looked at the clock and realized that the time was ticking so fast and I had other things to attend to. I decided to take a walk in the park. The fresh air would do me good.

I stepped into the bathroom and turned on the light. The room was illuminated, and I could see my reflection in the mirror. I noticed my hair was a little messy, and I decided to take a shower. I turned on the water, and I waited for it to get warm. As I stood under the warm water, I began to think about the day ahead.

As I washed my hair, I thought about my children and how they would react to meeting their grandfather. I knew they would be curious and excited, and I wanted to make sure the experience was a positive one for them. I began to plan the dinner, thinking about what we would eat and what we would talk about. I knew this was an important moment, and I wanted to make it special. I wanted something big and I was going to tell the chef about it

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my waist. I dried off, and then I combed my hair. I looked in the mirror and ran my fingers through my hair, trying to style it. I decided to keep it simple, and I put on a fresh T-shirt and a pair of jeans. I then put on my favorite shoes, and I was ready to start the day.

As I walked down the hallway, I noticed that many of the servants bowed as I passed them by. They seemed to show a deep respect for me as their alpha, and I could tell that they appreciated my leadership. The corridor was well-lit, and the marble floors were spotless.

As I entered the courtroom, I saw the elders sitting at their table. They were wearing their finest robes, and they looked dignified and regal. They rose as I approached, and they bowed their heads in respect. I took my place at the head of the table, and I waited for the proceedings to begin. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could feel the eyes of the courtiers on me. I took a deep breath and prepared to speak.
