The thought that he might have lost it and gone for Darryl's neck if she hadn't been in that Mediation meeting with him and kept him calm with her touch frightened him as well. He's never been able to put his faith in another person fully before. No one else in his life had ever been a source of inspiration for him. However, he didn't mind being alone because he had no interest in depending on anyone else. Since he'd never experienced physical affection, it was probably for the best that he hadn't been the kind of child who craved it.
He'd always been proud that he wasn't prone to the weakness of dependence on anyone or anything else. It was disrupted by the presence of a partner and the attachment that came with mating. Having a partner also made that difficult to do. Even though he knew the mating connection wouldn't change the way he operated or how he had always operated, he still didn't want to feed his mate's cravings. Even if the mating connection could change his behavior, he didn't think for a second that it would. If he avoided her, didn't spend much time with her, and didn't touch her, it might be easier to deal with the situation and his wolf's connection to her. He wanted to do nothing more than be near her, touch her, and spray his scent all over her, but he knew that would be a terrible idea. He had to tune them out. He wanted these things less because of Louve as a person and more because she was the object of his sexual desire. The situation would have been the same even if she had been someone else. Could you count on them to follow through? A portion of his mind doubted his sanity, telling him he was completely off his rocker. That should be expected, of course. This in no way suggests he thought poorly of Louve. He did. The fact that he valued her opinion also said a lot. True, there was an odd dynamic between them, their shared need for sustenance. He liked her because she made him laugh and she was refreshing because she wasn't afraid of him or her opinion being heard in front of him. Holy crap! In reality, the primary allurement was the fact that they were mating. It was only his instincts, not his admiration for Louve, that drove him to act in that manner. Lupa was not helpless in the face of those inclinations or his wolf's desires. He had a thought of his own, and from this point on, that thinking was going to dictate how he conducted himself in every situation. He wouldn't touch her unless it was absolutely essential, like when they were pretending to be a couple, but other than that, he wouldn't go there. It would be in everyone's best interest if they never had sex together again given that he could never resist the need to mark her everytime he was inside of her. Yet, he couldn't promise that they wouldn't have sex again since he was extremely suspicious that he would be able to refuse her advances in the bedroom if she made them. To alleviate his obsessive worry for her safety, he offered to hire a bodyguard for her. Clearly, his wolf wouldn't approve of her spending a considerable amount of time with another guy, but his wolf would simply have to learn to live with it because Lupa was going to get a handle on this issue, and he was going to start right now. Lupa was going to start right now. The sound of someone laughing shocked Louve into wakefulness. The three heads that had been lying on her knees moved violently in the other way. Hey, I'm sorry, it's just that this episode of Friends is hilarious," Tee murmured apologetically. At the same time that she sat up straight and said, "They're all hilarious," she laughed. As she fully extended her legs, Trick and Tee moved to make room for her. From off to the right, a voice said, "How are you feeling?" while tracing a finger over her face. Her brow was lifted as she looked up at Grace. "No, thanks. I'm OK." When some time had passed, she realized that everyone had surrounded her. The importance of this was not lost on her. They had comforted her, and then adopted her into the pack as one of their own. She had to keep telling herself that her status in the pack was just temporary. You're improving, Tee said. Just how long have I been absent for? She looked at no one in particular as she stretched her arms, which were still a little stiff from being in the fetal position. Ziva estimated that it would take "approximately an hour." I didn't need nearly as much sleep as I got, therefore you should have awakened me up. Tee, who was rubbing his chin on her knee at the moment, asked. "When you use your talent, do you always have to sleep?" In answer, she nodded her head slightly. "Due to Lupa's extensive injuries, I was just fatigued. Fortunately, none of her wounds were fatal. After all, nobody seems to know what became of Flinstone. Ziva had a sudden onset of nervousness. He's probably at his office making calls or doing anything else now that he's finished showering. To rephrase, he had not returned to see how she was doing. You may be wondering, "Why then should he?"
Grace said, "Are you missing anything?" "Coffee, tea, anything else?" Louve waved her hand in the air. I'm in control of it, and my health is excellent. They all said "No" in unison before Grace ran out of the room. She smiled her signature smug grin. I can't say that "I'm not an invalid." When I pointed out that you were the alpha female, Lydia agreed and said, "But it goes without saying that we look out for you." It's not necessary to go to such lengths; this is just a temporary circumstance, you know. So, I say, "How about we just try it out?" Grace said, "Do you need anything else?" and a big cup of coffee was delivered to her. "Do you need anything else?" Louve received the cup and drank from it with good grace. As she showered, she added, "I was honestly wondering if any of you had a computer that I could use." 'I do,' Rhett admitted. I uncovered it in my own space. Then you said, "Let's go," so I guess we are. After realizing that everyone was getting ready to object to her moving just yet, she put up her hand. Like I said before, I am OK. I appreciate your compassion, but I need you to stop making such a big deal about this. They looked petulant as they allowed her to get up and leave the room. Following a shower and a wardrobe change, she went to Rhett's room. It was far smaller than Lupa's and had an aura of awkwardness. He brought her to his "IT Zone" to unveil his groundbreaking piece of cutting-edge technology. Apart from having a mind as rapid as that piece of technology, he also had access to almost every program she could imagine, thousands of games, access to numerous forms of confidential information, and so much more. She couldn't decide whether she should be impressed or afraid, and so she said nothing. That turns you become a hacker, she added succinctly. It is not too difficult for me to send and receive emails. Hacking is more easier than you probably think. Like having sex, you want to go in and get out as fast as you can, with as little trace of your presence as possible left behind. So, tell me, "What is it that you're trying to find?" Very simply, I need internet connectivity. The pack web I was previously a part of may have disintegrated, in which case I will need to join yours. What do you mean? What, no pack web for you? And why is that, exactly? Considering his apparent abundance of resources, Louve was surprised. It seemed like he was perplexed. Just what is it, exactly? One user put it this way: "It's kind of like a social network, but it's confined to whoever is in your pack." Similar to Facebook and Twitter in some ways. You've got everything down pat, but the aim isn't to encourage socialization so much as to parade your wolf group. Let me show you what I mean. After typing in the URL, Louve brought everyone to the USA Pack Webs homepage. In a flash after she typed in her login information, she was sent to a preview of the Onyx pack site. It was like looking at a picture of the solar system, only that the sun represented her father, the Alpha, instead of the center of the image. In addition, instead of the planets that would ordinarily orbit the sun, individual photos of each member of the pack were dispersed among the eight planetary orbital planes. Her own picture floated aimlessly in the background. She had been cut off the entire time, that's for sure.
