Dean was curious as to whether or not you had any interest in combining your pack with Darryl's. "So you don't plan to go through with it, do you?"
Lupa responded, "Not at all," "in any way."
The expression on Darryl's face morphed into one that was more pessimistic and bitter. The speaker begged with the audience not to escalate the situation into a fight. You will not be successful under any circumstances."
"Is the way I introduced my acquaintance the acceptable way to do so? I don't think I did, did I? Louve, meet Darryl Elda. Uncle, meet Louve Louve." As he saw that Darryl's face was beginning to exhibit indications of nervousness, it was impossible for him to suppress a grin.
Dean kept repeating the phrase "Louve Louve" while sporting a smirk on his face. "As I go back on it, you assisted a friend of mine called Lennox Gellar who needed assistance since he had broken his nose. You were not only the one who shattered it, but you were also the one who caused it to break.
Then she offered a shrug of her shoulders. "He received the punishment that he deserved." Indeed, he had in fact carried out those actions.
The individual said, "If your reputation is correct, it wasn't the first time you broke your nose," which translates as "it wasn't the first time you hurt your nose." He shook his head and said, "You don't think that potentially you have anger management difficulties, do you?" He found it amusing that she paid little attention to his inquiry. "I cope with the frustration in my life by punching people in the face."
Lupa, for some unexplainable reason, did not find the humorous back and forth that was taking on between his partner and the Mediator to be very appealing. Lupa's entanglement of his hand in her hair was a moving symbol of possession on his part. After that, he addressed Darryl, asking, "Are you going to do the responsible thing and drop this?"
The person who was speaking advised the audience that "the most appropriate thing for you to do at this moment would be to sign an agreement that declares that our packs are now one and that I rule as Alpha."
In spite of Louve's best attempts to keep it from coming out, she let out a snort "Who in the realm of make-believe informed you that such a thing could ever happen? It was probably the same person that commended you on what a fantastic liar you are, so keep an eye out for them.
He spluttered. "Excuse me?"
"Oh, come on, you talk so much trash that I can actually smell it on your breath," the other person replied. "You speak so much crap that I can really smell it on your breath." "Well, get a grip."
It was obvious that Dean intended to keep the meeting from becoming any more controversial than it already was, so as soon as the topic was brought up, he said, "I take it this means there is no agreement that can be formed." "Darryl, do you wish to explore this further, or are you willing to withdraw your application at this time?" "Darryl, do you desire to pursue this further?" "Darryl, would you be interested in going further with this?"
"I will not give in to your demands."
Lupa shifted his body in the chair so that he was seated facing forward. "As a result, I shall rise to the occasion and face your challenge."
Dean heaved a sigh into the air. "You are used to the process at this point. Twelve weeks. There must first be a break of one hundred and twenty five days before any of you may take part in responding to that challenge. It is my genuine hope that within that amount of time, the two of you will be able to come to an agreement that is friendly and mutually agreeable.
Due to the fact that she was interested in the subject matter, she questioned Dean by asking, "How many times does it genuinely happen?" "a lot more often than you most likely think. An argument is nothing more than a quick challenge that neither side truly intends to follow through with once their tempers have cooled down. This is the case forty-five percent of the time. There would have been a lot of fighting that had no purpose, and there would have been a lot of people needlessly killed if there hadn't been that cooling off period of twelve weeks. Hence, forming a council in order to pacify the humans may not have been such a horrible idea after all; in fact, it may have even been a good one.
Darryl snarled. In the event that my nephew does not accept the challenge I have issued to unite the pack within the allotted amount of time, I will go ahead and do the assignment. Those there are my pack members right there. And I shall consider it a tremendous privilege to make use of the caves that you have available to me. Maybe I'll even grab your lover and make him or her mine."
Everyone started jerking in response to Lupa's terrible howl that she let out. She felt him tensing up as if to leap, so she gave his palm a painful squeeze, one that was severe enough to penetrate through the wrath that was clouding his head. After that, she saw him jump. She smiled at Darryl and curled the upper lip of her mouth as she did so. "You may accuse me of being superficial, but I do have a strong preference for physically appealing males. And you...well, it seems as if the most intriguing part of you withered away while it was lying on your mother's thigh. It's likely that she shouldn't have found it so hilarious that he didn't seem to be breathing, but, well, it was a bitch thing for her to think it funny in the first place.
Dean replied fairly suddenly, "The meeting has come to an end. It is going to be necessary for me to request that you and your pack go first, Lupa. Could you please comprehend?"
"To begin, could you perhaps clarify what you mean by that?" griped Darryl.
According to what the author has said, "the method mandates that there be a ten-minute break between the times that each party departs," and "the objective of this interval is to prevent disagreements from developing."
In an attempt to get away from Darryl before he released his wolf, Lupa instantly stood up and pushed Louve to her feet as she did so. "Come on, honey, let's go!" As she leaned on his arm and provided him support, which was something he did not realize he needed at the moment, he was taken aback by the gesture. When he muttered, "I'll be seeing you soon, Darryl," his eyes were gleaming in a wolfish fashion. "I'll be seeing you soon." Since he was attempting to steal what properly belonged to Lupa, he was under a lot of strain to resist the want to tear out his throat and rip off his limbs because he was trying to take what was rightfully his. After being comforted by Darryl's cautious manner, he gave a contented nod and hurriedly made his way back to the Toyota.
As soon as they were back on pack territory, Lupa went to his office because he needed the alone to overcome the memories that continued to haunt him and the dark cloud that seemed to be following him about. That's accurate, he worked as a nanny for a while. It wasn't the sight of his father face down in a pool of blood that kept him awake at night; rather, it was something else entirely. Even the memory of how many people had suddenly turned against him in an instant was not what caused him to feel this way. There was a recall of something far more horrific, something that he shouldn't have been able to put to the back of his mind so that it would only haunt him sometimes. He shouldn't have been able to do that. On the other hand, he was not the kind of person who 'felt' things in the same way that other individuals did. The concept of "feelings" was not one of his strong strengths, despite the fact that he was skilled in thinking, instinct, and drives.
