Chapter 37 LINGERING TOUCH
Edeline
His tongue explored the sensitive area between my legs with deliberate strokes, making me tremble with every caress. His hands gripped my hips firmly, anchoring me in place. Each delicate exploration of his tongue and his caressing touch sent shivers of pleasure through me. I moaned in delight at the unfamiliar yet intensely pleasurable sensations, as his finger moved rhythmically inside me. He was always respectful of my boundaries while his mouth skillfully guided me to new heights of pleasure. My body responded eagerly, producing more fluids around his finger, though I had to keep my wolf in check. Despite the ideal lunar phase for her emergence, I managed to intercept her, aware of the chaos she could bring. She remained indifferent to my restraint.
The pleasure was overwhelming, making me feel weightless and blissful. He expertly explored every inch of my body, providing intense pleasure both internally and externally. As he held my hips in place, preventing any movement, a powerful wave of ecstasy surged through me. My body tensed and then released, soaring and crashing with an intensity I had never felt before. I gripped his finger tightly, letting out a loud cry of pleasure.
Breathless, I tried to catch my breath as sweat trickled down my skin. Percival withdrew his finger slowly, sensually tasting my essence, causing me to squirm with delight. His hand held my waist firmly, ensuring I surrendered completely to the pleasure he bestowed. He cleaned his finger meticulously before meeting my gaze with a contented smile.
He moved closer, his desire evident. His lips, glistening with anticipation, hovered near mine. I struggled to regain my breath after the intense sensations he had given me.
“Edeline, you have such a delightful flavor. If you let me, I’d gladly repeat this every day,” he murmured, his intense gaze piercing deep into me. His lips met mine, his tongue offering a tantalizing sample of my own desire. As he groaned into the kiss, his body pressed against mine, heightening my arousal. I felt my body stay on edge whenever he was near.
He savored the lingering touch of my lips before settling down beside me, resting on his side. His firmness pressed against my skin, a reminder of our intimate connection. Propped up on his elbow, his body remained close to mine. I could feel his presence acutely as I tried to catch my breath, his other hand gently moving from my stomach towards my chest, his touch light and exploratory.
“You look absolutely stunning, Edeline,” he whispered, his voice barely more than a breath. His gaze was fixed on me, his eyes wide with admiration.
I noticed how intently he was watching, his eyes locked on my face. The memory of our passionate kiss was still fresh, and my lips felt tender and slightly swollen. A wave of guilt swept over me. He’d given me so much pleasure, and here I was, unable to give him the same in return. I hadn’t asked for it, but the reality of the situation was sinking in. My guilt gnawed at me, even as the allure of holding him in my hand was almost too tempting. He felt solid, smooth—like a sleek, unyielding piece of metal.
He took a sharp breath, gently pulling my hand away from where it had been. “You don’t have to do that,” he said softly. “It was a pleasure just watching you and being with you.”
I finally managed to catch my breath. “I can’t believe our wolves didn’t escape,” I murmured, still feeling the ghost of his touch on my skin.
He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss on my exposed shoulder. “I might be the reason for that.”
I frowned, turning to meet his gaze. “What? How?”
A soft chuckle rumbled from him, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “The scent-masking spray works wonders. It keeps the wolves from breaking through on their own.”
I blinked, surprised. “Oh, so you actually planned that!?”
Laughing, he shook his head. “No, Edeline. I didn’t plan it. It’s just a feature of the masking liquid. Think of it as a little bonus for us.”
I made a thoughtful noise. “I don’t expect this to become a regular thing. Percival, you need to end this. You have other responsibilities that don’t involve me.” I tried to rise from the bed, but his strong grip around my waist kept me anchored.
“Percival, please let go.” Frustration welled up inside me. I hated that we were stuck in this cycle.
“Edeline, could you stay a little longer?” His eyes were earnest, almost pleading. “Let’s just lie here and imagine a world where it’s just the two of us.” He looked vulnerable, leaning weakly against my thigh.
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath to steady myself. “Percival, I really have to go. I need to wash away your scent and get something to eat.”
Reluctantly, he released his hold and asked, “Have you eaten anything today? Anything at all?”
I nodded, slipping into my panties and bra while feeling his gaze on me. “Yes, but I’m still pretty hungry.”
With a sigh, he stood up and handed me my top after I had put on my shorts. “Thank you,” I said, tugging the shirt over my head.
I left Percival in the tree house and climbed carefully down the ladder. The gnawing hunger in my stomach was a constant reminder of my need to find food. I hugged myself against the cool air, staying alert for any wolves that might catch his scent on me. The refreshing breeze tickled my warm skin, causing tiny shivers to dance along my arms. Nature's scent clung to me, settling into my skin as I walked. The earthy fragrance was a stark contrast to the lingering hints of him, a reminder of the strange.
I needed to figure out a way to shower without making it obvious. The thought made me cringe; it felt so silly. Even though I knew I should resist, I found it nearly impossible, especially when he was around. His presence seemed to draw me in, despite my better judgment.
Something had to change. I couldn’t let this happen again. The idea of it becoming even more painful was almost unbearable.
