Chapter 128 WOLVES IN CONFLICT

My mother’s sobs ceased abruptly, her face etched with shock and despair.
Mom stood up, her tear-streaked face now hardened with anger. Her eyes darkened, and the change began—her canines elongated, and her claws emerged. Annabel's eyes widened in surprise as she watched my mom’s partial shift. "Are you trying to intimidate me?" she snapped. "I reached out to you first, ahead of everyone else! I have something important to share with everyone... even my own family!" Her voice was a low, rumbling growl as she circled Luna, her eyes blazing with determination. "This is a secret that cannot be kept, and you know it," she said, her voice edged with urgency.
Luna Annabel allowed her wolf to emerge fully, embracing its power with a display of sharp claws, bared teeth, and fierce eyes. She moved with deliberate, powerful steps, circling her mother. "Dahlia, you will not take anything else from me! You have already taken enough. You always seem to demand and expect more without giving anything in return!" she growled, her frustration evident.
Suddenly, a deep, authoritative voice boomed from the trees. It was Alpha William, and his tone was filled with both confusion and frustration. "What in the world is happening here?!" he demanded, staring at the two women he cared about as they faced off.
Luna and her mother exchanged a brief, tense glance before Mom bolted toward William, desperation in her stride. "William! Hey, I have something important to tell you! Nixx is—"
But she was not fast enough.
I watched in stunned silence as Annabel’s transformation took hold. Her clothes shredded, and her bones cracked audibly. With a fierce growl, she leaped into the air, her wolf form speeding toward Mom. Before Mom could get another word out, Annabel landed on her, her wolf pinning her to the ground. Mom’s transformation completed swiftly, her tawny-colored wolf shoving Luna away with force. Luna hit the ground with a heavy thud as Mom's hind legs dug in, her claws pressing into Luna’s belly.
William’s eyes widened in alarm, a mix of fear and confusion on his face. "Please, stop! Both of you!" he pleaded, his voice breaking with urgency.
But the chaos continued. Mom approached Luna, who was ready to snap her jaws at her. Mom’s wolf let out a pained whine and then bit down hard on Luna’s neck, catching her off guard. Luna struggled fiercely, breaking free with a violent jerk that tore a sizable chunk of flesh from Mom's wolf's neck. It was clear that things were spiraling towards a catastrophic end if Alpha William did not intervene.

The scene was a whirlwind of movement. The two wolves twisted and turned in a frenzied dance, their fur bristling with intensity.
Mom was in a fierce state, her saliva flying as she advanced with relentless determination. Her eyes were wild, and her fur stood on end as she charged forward.
Luna's wolf faced off against her with growls and bared teeth. Luna managed to dodge a bite from Mom’s snapping jaws, narrowly avoiding a painful nip as her mother's teeth grazed her ear. The pitch of Luna’s growl was unmistakable, reflecting her discomfort and anger.
It was a clash between two powerful forces—two mothers, each fiercely protecting what was theirs.
Luna managed to flip Mom’s wolf onto her back, but the struggle was far from over. Mom continued to thrash energetically, her movements frantic and wild. Just as Luna was about to sink her teeth into Mom’s neck, both wolves were drenched in blood. Alpha William barreled toward them with unwavering determination, his charge a display of raw power.
"I told you to stop!" His voice thundered with such authority that I instinctively hunched my shoulders. His command was clear and commanding, cutting through the chaos.
In a swift motion, he grabbed Luna by the scruff, pulling her away from Mom with firm resolve. Blood trickled from Luna’s wounds, staining her muzzle as she and Mom exchanged fierce growls. The scene was chaotic, a whirlwind of raw emotion and power.
Alpha William’s presence was overwhelming. He advanced towards Mom with an intimidating stride, his lip curled in a challenge. He engaged in a heated discussion with her, his body language conveying his authority.
"Penny, please stop!" he demanded, his voice heavy with authority. "I need you to retreat now, or I will be forced to make you submit."
I watched as Mom's wolf rose, shaking off the blood with a fierce shake of her fur. Alpha William’s gaze remained challenging, but Mom lowered her head in a gesture of respect.
With a nod, acknowledging her submission, Alpha William turned his attention back to Luna, who was preparing for another bout. Her fur stood on end, her frustration evident.
Without hesitation, Luna lunged at Alpha William, her fury palpable. She let out a roar of frustration and sank her teeth into his arm. He responded swiftly, grabbing her by the scruff and lifting her off the ground. Despite her struggles, he pulled his hand away from her mouth, letting blood flow freely, and gripped her ear firmly.
Luna let out a soft cry of discontent, her eyes betraying her frustration. She exposed her neck to him, her wolf no match for his commanding presence.
Alpha William stared deeply into her eyes. "Luna, it is crucial that you follow my instructions. Let us resolve this now and move forward." His voice was firm, asserting his authority over the two wolves he knew well.
As both women shifted back into their human forms, they turned away from each other, their animosity still palpable. Luna and her mother locked eyes, their mutual disdain evident.
"What is this about?" William asked, crouching down to observe the two of them. His wolf remained tense, ready to spring at a moment’s notice. "What did you need to tell me, Dahlia? Annabel, you only reacted after she approached me. So, what is it you wanted to say?"
Mom shot a glance at Annabel, who stood tall with an air of confidence. "Go ahead, Dahlia," she said, her voice seething with frustration and anger. "Or have you not taken enough from me?"
