Author's pov.
The whole mansion was thrown into uproar after what Dominic did to Kristen, Agatha sat on the balcony, her face filled with contempt. She didn't expect Dominic to have done that but she was happy.
“Agatha” Gath called as he approached her. “I heard you wanted to see me?”
“Yes,” she smiled as she gestured him to a corner.
Gath followed Agatha closely. “What do you want to ask me?” He frowned.
“Okay, it won't take much of your time please” she pleaded as she turned to him. “I heard what Dominic did” she revealed.
“Do you really want to talk about that?” He snapped. “I do not have time to engage in such conversation with you”.
Agatha scoffed. “You would be surprised that you would need my help”. She revealed as she clutched her hands on her chest, her voice tinged with pride.
“Why do we need you?” He glared. “I never supported Dominic when he said he was going to work with the black witches, so stop bargaining with me and leave me alone”. He snapped as he turned to go.
“Kristen would die” she bolted out.
Gath froze immediately and spun his head back. “What did you just say?”
“Kristen would die” she repeated as she stepped forward. “Kristen would die and Dominic knows that too”. She revealed.
“Kristen is not a regular werewolf, she can survive an Alpha bite” Gath defended as his brows furrowed in anger.
“True but I am not sure they were taught to withstand or survive the bite of a werewolf that has a black witch power that can increase the strength and effect of the bite” she explained.
“What did you do?” Gath demanded, his voice laced with venom.
“I made him more powerful than any werewolf on earth…” she paused. “But I just didn't expect him to have used it on Kristen”.
“Then what are we waiting for? We need to go” she shouted as he grabbed her hand.
“Why should I help?” She scoffed jerking her hand away. “Why should I be bothered when my opinion wasn't needed”. She hissed.
“If Kristen dies, I promise I will not forgive any of you” he threatened.
“I wouldn't threaten me if I were you” she warned, her lips curled into a mischievous smile. “And if you must know, I sent Rose to give her the potion to heal her wounds, so she is safe” she revealed.
Gath nodded in appreciation as he let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you so much” he smiled. “But…you and Dominic have some explanation to do,” he said as he dragged her away.
“I didn't call you here because I wanted to give you information” she protested as he dragged her. “I called you because I need answers”.
“You can get those answers after you get me the answer I want”. Gath replied.
“The devil's journal” she bolted out, Gath halted as he released her from his clutches. “How do you know about that?” He turned to her, his face flickered to curiosity.
“Judging by your reaction, it is not just a name you have heard of, you know a lot about it” She smirked as their eyes locked like magnets.
“All I know about the journal is that it should remain where it is and never show its face again”.
“I am not asking for it, I am just anxious because the last place it was seen was with one of the black witches in the coven”. She added.
Gath's jaws dropped open in shock. “where did you say it was?”
“One of the black witches in the coven admitted that she was studying it…” Gath cut her short.
“Where is that witch?” He demanded, his eyes glowing in a dark green color as his fangs became visible. “Where is she?” He shouted.
“If you let me finish” she snapped. “I was going to say that she doesn't have the book” she revealed.
“What do you mean?” His face flickered to curiosity as his fangs and glowing eyes disappeared. “Then how did she read it?”
“According to her, she was studying it until she started having nightmares about someone coming to meet her…she said something about it wanting to give powers but she was scared because of the rumors surrounding it so she refused… she said that she was reading the book and one moment it was there the other moment it wasn't”. She explained.
“The hell bounce” he revealed. “I have heard something about it”. He muttered.
“The hell bounce?” Agatha scoffed. “What is that?”
“It is when the darkness wants to make a deal with you but you refuse, it disappears into thin air or someone stole it”. He paused as he bit his lips.
“What is it?” Agatha asked.
“I heard that sometimes it moves in the darkness to find desperate prey, it teaches the person the darkness length of magic and ends up using the person” he added.
“So you think she might have not seen it or studied it?”
Gath nodded. “That would have been the case but…” he paused. “Did she tell you where she got the book?”
“She said that she stole it” Agatha revealed. “She said she took it from the rogue hunter pack”.
Gath scoffed. “What does your kind think that rogue hunters are?” Fools?” He eyed.
“That was what she said” she defended.
“That might not have been the book or…” he paused as his face widened in shock. “Did they lose it?” He muttered.
“The devil's journal… what do you know about it?”
“Not much, except that it is a dark book that can kill anyone…” he paused as he turned to her. “Agatha I hate you and you know that but I would have to ask for a favor, if you hear anything about that book please tell me”.
“That would cost you” she smirked. “How can I tell you when I don't know anything about that book”.
“The book is a very dangerous book”. He snapped. “What else is there to know?”
“No one would tell me about that book in detail, I was hoping you could tell me about it but you also are holding back”. Agatha's lips curled into a mischievous smile as she turned to go.
“The devil's journal was made by an unknown person” he bolted out. “Nobody knows how it came into existence, the first clan to find it was the witches, they spent centuries trying to decipher the words but they could find nothing, until one day, a witch translated the journal and they found out it was like a spell book, they took it and practiced it, but after so many experiments, the witches found out that the book was dangerous, they decided to toss it away but it only cause a division among the clan… the devil's journal could bring back the dead, it has power over this universe”. He explained.
“Doesn't sound powerful”. Agatha scoffed.
“It can control the darkest part of darkness, it is pure evil, a book that people shouldn't underestimate”. He added.
“Can it destroy a werewolf pack?”
Gath paused as he stared at her. “You are not usually this way, you hardly talk, so why all the sudden questions about the book? Do you have anything bad you are planning?”
“I don't” she rolled her eyes. “I would tell you everything I hear about the devil's journal” she reassured him as she turned to go.
“Please excuse me” a lady called as she approached us.
“What is it?” Agatha frowned.
“News just reached us that Rose is dead”. She revealed.
