Silvy
Well, the cat is out of the bag now. I didn’t think my stomach was that noticeable. I guess I was wrong. It somehow doesn’t surprise me that Merigold noticed it. Suddenly I was squealing ol’e ladies offering me congratulations. That is until Tank marches up to us. “ Hold on ladies. Where is the asshole that knocked our Silvy? Why is he not here meeting your family and taking care of you? Or did some fucker ditch you and we have to kick his ass?” Tank growls. His response shouldn’t shock me but it does. Tank and Lilly are the ones who brought me into the MC and have always looked out for me. Especially Tank. But I never thought he would go after someone for me. It makes me want to cry at the gesture.
Now, Tank, has all the brothers riled up. All of them shouting wanting to know who my baby's daddy is. I see Goof cringe next to me. I wonder what that is about. He has nothing to worry about. It isn’t like I’m going to rat him out or anything. Suddenly a very wet Xavier is in front of me. He has his back to me like he is protecting me. “ Stop yelling at my sister,” Xavier yelled with his fists on his hips. Tank holds up his hands in surrender but smiles at my pint-size savior. “ Easy, little man. We didn’t mean to yell at your sister. We just wanted to know where the baby’s dad was.” Tank said.
I ruffle Xavier’s hair. “ It’s alright. Tank and the guys can get a little loud but they would never hurt me.” I told him. “ Of course, we would never hurt Silvy. You have my word, little man.” Rowdy said. I look around at all the brothers and ol’e ladies. “ Calm down. There is no one to beat up. The offer is sweet.” I said. Then I explained everything to all of them. From the shots to wanting to have an anonymous donor. I was not telling them that Goof is the donor. That would cause all sorts of questions and problems.
I explained that I had put a lot of thought and preparation into having a baby this way. “ So you are going to do it all on your own?” Lilly asked. “ Yes. I have my dad’s support.” I said. “ And she has me. I’m going to be a good uncle.” Xavier said. “ No, you are not doing this alone.” Speed said. “ Huh?” I asked. “ Speed is right. Silvy, you are family. You aren’t alone. All of us will be there for you. However, you need.” Lilly said. Everyone’s heads nodded in agreement. I heard several “ You got that right.” Goof held me a little tighter.
“ That is really sweet. And I thank all of you. But it isn’t necessary. When I started all of this I knew I would be alone. And I’m good with that. You guys already have plenty on your plate, you don’t have to worry about me.” I told them. Merigold puts her hands on her hips “ Oh course we are going to worry about you. And just because you are prepared to go at it alone doesn’t mean you have to. But enough about that for now. You are as stubborn as me so we aren’t going to get anywhere right this minute. Go play in the water with your brother. We are going to grill later and we have fireworks.”
I know better than to go against that woman so I do as she said. I enjoyed my time with Xavier. I tried to throw him a few times as I have done with the other kids but he wasn’t having it. “ No, sissy. You could hurt the baby,” he said. The little brother I have always wanted is quite the protector. It is adorable. I was relaxing on the blanket watching Xavier help the little kids build sand castles. Goof was hovering near me. He has been doing that since I got here. When Xavier wouldn’t let me throw him, Goof did it instead.
When I wanted a snack Goof grabbed my bag and got me the cereal I wanted. When I wanted to dry off, Goof was there with a towel and insisted on helping me. The only time he left me alone was when I was sitting with one of the girls. But he isn’t far. I can see him from the corner of my eye. What is his deal? I know he invited me today. But I’m talking about the other stuff he has been doing. It can’t last much longer. He will get bored and head back to his skanks. But for now, he is confusing me. Everything he has been doing. All the sweet gestures are hard on my heart. He is off limits but my heart is falling for him anyway. Little by little.
I’m munching on my cereal enjoying the sun when Merigold whistles “ Damn, who is that?” I turn to see who she is looking at. “ Damn if I wasn’t a married woman I would be all over that,” Ailee said. I want to gag. “ I’m with you, girl,” Merigold said. I put my cereal down, stand up and yell “ Over here, daddy.” I need the girls to stop gawking at him. The girls gasp “ Daddy?” When my dad gets to the blanket I walk over to him. I notice the brothers watching him like a hawk. I wave them over so I can introduce him. “ Everyone this is Tony. My dad.” I said. I introduce all the guys and ol’e ladies. When I get to Tank and Goof a look passes between them. I wonder what that is about.
Dad shakes everyone’s hands. Xavier runs over and jumps into my dad's arms, “ Dad. Dad. Come see what we built. And meet my new friends.” Dad holds Xavier while Jace and Jax look at my dad with big eyes. Jax asks and signs for Ian “ That’s your dad? He is as big as Uncle Brick.” That causes all of us to laugh. He isn’t wrong. “ Dad puts Xavier down for him to introduce his friends and show off his sand castles. He points to a small one that Dax is patting. “ This one the babies made. They didn’t know how so I helped.” Xavier said. “ Good man,” Dad said.
“ Why don’t I help you gather your stuff?” Dad asked. “ I can’t stay longer?” Xavier whined. This is the first time I have seen him act like this. “ Mom just got home and she is going to pack us up for a picnic then we are going to the park to watch fireworks. But you need a shower first to get the sand off you.” Dad said. “ I wanted to stay with sissy,” Xavier said. Time for me to step in. I kneeled in front of him. “ Buddy, it is time to spend time with your mom and daddy. We will get more time together I promise.” I said. It warms my heart that he wants to spend time with me.
“ Pinky promise?” Xavier asks. I hold out my pinky for him. He wraps his around mine and I say “ Promise.” Xavier nods “ Okay dad. I’m ready.” I hug Dad and Xavier before Goof takes them to get Xavier’s things. Now that they are gone I can try to find out why Goof asked me to come out here. Not that I’m not having a good time. I love spending time with the club. For the most part that is. I hate parties with the skanks. As much as I tried for it not to affect me it hurt to see Goof with a skank. I had to shut my feelings down when I would see that. So it would affect me. That first time I saw it I went home and cried. That was I knew I had feelings for Goof. But I knew I could never go there. Not with the way whores around. My heart can’t handle it.
