Chapter 121: Attitude Change

In the afternoon, Ryan personally went back to the house, Grace was alone in the living room drinking afternoon tea, when she saw him coming, her face changed slightly, but it didn't have too much ups and downs, she must have expected him to come.

"Mom, what's with the interview in the newspaper?"

Grace slowly put down her teacup, glanced at him with a very calm look, and said, "Mom thought about it, it's not very proper for you to divorce Vivian right now."

"You have also heard, James recently had an accident, Hayes Group was more or less affected, if you divorce again at this time and at first glance, the rumor will be unfavorable to Golden Group, it would be better to leave a good impression to the public at such a time, so that others will think that you have a good relationship."

What Grace said was not unreasonable, but Ryan felt that her change in attitude was a bit forced.

"Mom, is there something you're having a hard time with?"

Ryan asked cautiously as he left a thought.

Grace's hand holding the teacup paused, her gaze didn't go to look at Ryan, the corner of her lips slightly raised, and she spoke gently, "Ryan, what are you imagining, mom is all for the good of you and Golden Group."

"Mom, Vivian and I are not possible." Ryan spoke faintly, "Sooner or later we have to separate, is it fun to drag this on?"

"It's better not to make any rash moves right now with this storm in the air." Grace interrupted, speaking solemnly in a tone that could not be questioned.

Ryan stood up, "There's no way I'm going to wait more than three months, and since mom is insistent that I wait a little longer, I'll listen to you and wait a little longer. But after three months, it's better for mom to stay out of my marriage, after all, Golden Group is in my hands now."

In the last sentence, Ryan purposely aggravated his tone, as if he was warning the woman in front of him.

Grace couldn't say a word, and could only watch Ryan's back disappear in her line of sight, the sting under her heart deepening a touch.

One month later.

A knock sounded on the door and Ava went to open it, a mailman appeared in her sight, "There's a package for you."

The mailman handed her a large box.

Not quite sure about the delivery, Ava opened the box and was surprised to find a bouquet of flowers inside, made in the shape of a love heart, with a card on top, "To My Love."

Right, today was Valentine's Day, Ava reacted, a smile curling her lips. It didn't take much thought to realize it was from Ryan.

However, the next moment she had just taken the flowers out of the box, a crisp 'beep' sounded in her ears.

What was that sound? For a moment, Ava felt a trace of abnormality, this sound inexplicably made her feel familiar, like she had heard it somewhere before.

"Splat", as Ava lifted the flowers up, a small square black box fell out of the flowers and landed on the floor with a dull crash.

It was ......

Ava's gaze fell on the floor, she squatted down and was about to check what this was, when her hand flipped open the small black box at the same time, the pupils in her eyes abruptly became larger, for a moment, she was so shocked that even her breathing stopped.

The numbers on the small black box were changing rapidly.

"Three hours, 59 minutes, 40 seconds", still getting less and less.

It was the bomb!

Ava realized with a jolt what it was. What was even more frightening was that the little black box was firmly stuck to her body, and no matter how hard she shook it off, it didn't loosen at all.

Ava immediately searched the gift box for something, and sure enough, in the corner of the box, she found a small note.

"No police or detonate at any time, come to this place if you want to live." The reverse side of the note provided an address and the person demanded that she arrive within the hour.

Who the hell was it, Ava couldn't figure out how, who the hell wanted to put her to death!

She no longer knew how she got out of the door, and when she stumbled to the location above, she found a high rooftop, she looked up, blue sky above her, and lowered her hand, the counter digits on her hand shifted rapidly, as if reminding her that she didn't have time to look at the view.

"It's you?"

A familiar female voice rang in Ava's ears, and Ava looked up, only to find Vivian standing in front of her in a black dress, holding a small black box in her left hand as well.

She was actually here as well?

Ava's heart crossed a trace of shock, her eyes fixed on the black box in her hand, and the same numbers that were slowly decreasing could be vaguely seen.

It looked like she was in the same situation as herself.

Vivian acted very frightened, completely lost her former elegant and dignified lady-like, her body was trembling vigorously, and finally actually fell straight to her knees on the ground.

Who is it, who is it?

Why do you and this woman, are in this situation, this woman is deserved, was blown up is also deserved, why do you have to bring yourself?

She deserved to die alone.

Afterward, she suddenly raised her head, her eyes again looked at Ava with disbelief, questioning, "Do you know who it is?"

Ava sneered, "Why would I know? You have a rich imagination."

Vivian doesn't say anything anymore, just kneeling on the ground in shock, exhaling loudly, while nervously going to look at the time on her hand.

Three hours was almost full.

Damn! Why hasn't anyone come yet, the mysterious man told her to be here within an hour, so where is he? Is it possible that he wants her to wait here to die.

At that moment, footsteps sounded on the hallway leading to the rooftop, and both of them clearly heard the sound of hurried running until the door to the rooftop entrance was pushed open at once, and what came into their eyes was Mr. Dawson's panicked and confused face.

"Dad!"

Vivian exclaimed at the visitor, hurrying up to him as she did so, "What are you doing here?"

"Vivian!"

Mr. Dawson likewise saw Vivian, and all of a sudden a trace of joy crossed his face that had aged nearly ten years, "Vivian, are you alright? I was worried to death."

Looking at the scene in front of the father and son, Ava behind Vivian as if she was an outsider.

Sure enough, the one who was raised with one hand is in the end to have deeper feelings than the biological daughter who was suddenly killed out of the blue.

Ava understands, and does not blame him, it is only human nature. She just feel some despondency, some regret, after all, ...... she is now also in this is not?

But Mr. Dawson, it seems, did not see her at all.

Mr. Dawson in the end still saw Ava, but there was a flash of hesitation in his eyes, and Ava could see that he wanted to come forward, but Vivian was holding on to his hand and not letting go of it, so that he was a bit backed up.

Mr. Dawson once said, this matter is still hidden from Vivian for the time being, for fear that she can't bear the blow, did not let her know immediately, and wait for a reprieve later slowly said.

But, it has come to this point, the two daughters have appeared in front of him at the same time, he still choose to hide it from her?

Maybe ......

Just when Ava thought that nothing was possible, Mr. Dawson's face abruptly enlarged in front of her step by step, only to see that he broke away from Vivian's hand after all and walked towards Ava.

"Ava!"

Mr. Dawson didn't care about Vivian's shouts behind him and called out straight at Ava, "Are you okay? Are there any injuries."

Ava hadn't expected Mr. Dawson to come after all, bright and early, choosing to walk towards herself in front of Vivian.

"Dad!" A momentary surge of emotion caused Ava to jump into Mr. Dawson's arms, but even she didn't know how much of it was play-acting.

As soon as that sound of Dad left his mouth, Vivian s eyes straightened in the distance.

Sure enough ...... he still knows.

It looked like both of them had known for a long time, but Mr. Dawson had quietly identified himself with the woman without telling her himself.

Ava showed Mr. Dawson the time bomb in her hand, and Mr. Dawson looked back at Vivian's hand again and sighed repeatedly, mouthing that it was his own doing.

Mr. Dawson took Ava's hand and walked over to Vivian, who looked away and didn't want to pay any attention to Ava.
