Chapter 69: Holding the Cotton Candy to William's Mouth.

Chapter 69 Holding the Cotton Candy to William's Mouth

Violet sent Henry a message telling him she wouldn't be doing the gigs anymore.

Henry asked her what happened.

Violet didn't give a specific reason, just said she didn't want it to affect her studies.

After turning off her phone, Violet sighed, "If it weren't for that man, I actually would've liked to keep singing."

Having an audience, having a stage - even though it couldn't compare to those big stages, at least people showed up, and she had her small group of listeners.

Isabella knew what she was thinking and couldn't help glancing at her, "Violet, you could just post your songs online. You don't have to sing at bars."

These days, when singers release new songs, don't they put them online right away?

Only a few popular singers hold live concerts.

"Actually, I thought about that before. I even contacted a music platform called MelodyNest. Have you heard of it?"

Isabella had an impression, "Yeah, I think it's pretty popular."

"I asked around. There are two ways to become a musician on the MelodyNest platform - either find someone who can compose and create an original song together, or find a local recording studio to record a cover."

The second option was cheaper. Violet had originally planned to do this after school started, but later she didn't have time because of the bar gigs.

"The first one," Isabella said without hesitation after hearing this.

"No way." Violet shook her head. "I don't know anyone who writes songs, and I can't do it myself."

Isabella looked at her seriously and said, "I can."

Violet froze, "What?"

Could Isabella really do it?

"I really can. My master taught me how to arrange music!" Afraid Violet wouldn't believe her, Isabella immediately pulled out a draft notebook and started writing.

Five minutes later, a proper song with lyrics and melody was done.

Violet was stunned, "Wait, even if you can, shouldn't you at least think about it for a bit first?"

"No need. I wrote this before. I'm just writing it down from memory."

She had originally written this song for Violet. In her past life, after Violet was exposed as having AIDS, the company dropped her, and the composers she regularly worked with all blacklisted her.

When Isabella found out, she wrote this song, planning to give it to Violet.

Unfortunately, before she could give her the song, she herself died...

It was quite a regret.

Violet picked up the song Isabella wrote and looked at it, even trying to hum a few bars. Suddenly her eyes lit up, "Isabella, you're a genius!"

She found that Isabella's song was especially good!

It was like it was tailor-made for her!

The more Violet looked at it, the more satisfied she was. She hugged Isabella and kissed her on the cheek, "You're my little angel! I love this song so much!"

Isabella wiped the saliva off her face, "Go try posting it online."

"Okay."

Violet was thrilled.

She'd find a professional recording studio this weekend to record the song.

——

That evening, Aurora and Scarlett, worried that Violet might be upset about the breakup, suggested going out to eat at a restaurant outside school to celebrate Violet finally cutting ties with that jerk.

"Isabella, what do you want to eat?" Aurora asked.

Isabella remembered that William was coming to bring her dinner, so she said, "You guys go tonight. I won't join you."

"What? You're not coming?"

"I have something to do."

She wouldn't stand William up - she was afraid someone might die.

Hearing Isabella say this, Aurora looked very disappointed, saying that without Isabella, she'd eat half as much.

Isabella was speechless and could only pat her shoulder to comfort her, "I'll treat you next time."

Aurora still couldn't cheer up.

Isabella thought for a moment and said, "Then I'll treat just you next time."

Aurora was immediately delighted, "Really? That's great."

Having a meal alone with a beautiful woman was an honor for her.

Violet, standing nearby, looked displeased, "Aurora, what do you mean? You're happy to exclude me and Scarlett?"

Her intention to monopolize Isabella was too obvious.

"No way." Even the usually innocent Scarlett shook her head, "Aurora, you can't hog her. You have to bring me and Violet too."

Isabella looked at them, "Alright, alright. I'll treat Aurora alone first, then treat everyone together. Is that okay?"

"No." Violet and Scarlett said in unison, "Why does Aurora get two meals?"

Aurora immediately started arguing with Violet.

Isabella took advantage of their distraction and quietly slipped away.

After leaving through the school's back gate, Isabella saw William standing not far away.

William wore a classic black suit, his long legs straight and slender beneath his pants. His eyes were deep, his features sharply defined like a sculpture. Just standing there, he radiated a powerful, distinguished aura that was impossible to ignore.

The only thing out of place with all this was the huge pink cotton candy William was holding.

"William, why are you standing here holding cotton candy?"

It was really jarring!

"To give it to you, of course." William's tone was matter-of-fact.

Isabella said somewhat helplessly, "But standing here like this really doesn't fit your image. You're really attracting attention."

"So what?" William placed the cotton candy in her hand.

Isabella's eyelid twitched. She opened her mouth to say something else, but her view was filled with the fluffy, soft cotton candy, its faint sweet fragrance wafting under her nose.

Isabella swallowed and took a bite.

William watched her, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes, "Is it good?"

"It's good!" Isabella took another bite, then held the cotton candy up to William's mouth, gesturing for him to try it.

William froze.

Isabella froze too.

What was with this unconscious action? Isabella suspected something was wrong with her brain, actually asking William to share the same cotton candy with her. Never mind that William clearly didn't seem like someone who would eat this kind of thing - they weren't even close enough to share food.

"You probably don't like it." Isabella awkwardly pulled the cotton candy back.

"Don't move."

William's large hand held hers in place.

Under Isabella's shocked gaze, William took a bite of the cotton candy in her hand.

It took Isabella a while to recover, "Well? Is it good?"

William nodded.

"By the way, Violet and Charles broke up today. I can finally relax. I really have to thank you for having someone watch Charles and getting that photo."

Isabella said while eating the cotton candy.

"William, this cotton candy is so sweet, but I really like it. Besides my master, you're the only one who's bought me cotton candy."

"I also wrote a song for Violet today. I hope Violet can actually sing the song I wrote this time, so I won't have any regrets."
