Chapter 51 What Is the Difference Between That Isabella and the Knockoff Version?
The next day was the official first day of school.
What happened between Isabella and Elizabeth had spread throughout the entire school.
People in every class were talking about it.
Not because Elizabeth's actions were so terrible, nor because Isabella's heroic intervention was so touching, but simply because their goddess—Bianca, who had everything anyone could want—turned out to be the daughter who was switched at birth by the Taylor family!
This news shocked countless people.
"I heard Isabella used to live in the mountains and had a really hard life. Does that mean Bianca should have been the one living in the mountains?"
"Now that the truth is out, shouldn't Bianca go find her real parents? Is she still the Taylor family's daughter?"
"Now Isabella is the Taylor family's daughter."
"So what happens to Bianca?"
"She'll definitely get kicked out by the Taylor family, right? Bianca's parents must have been too poor back then and couldn't bear to see Bianca suffer after birth, so they switched the babies at the hospital and put Bianca into a wealthy family."
"That's so disgusting! Just because they didn't want their own child to suffer, someone else's child should suffer instead?"
"If this happened to me, I think I'd hate Bianca's parents to death. After all, Isabella is their own flesh and blood, but she lived in a place where she didn't belong for so many years and suffered for so many years. It's really pitiful!"
"..."
Listening to the discussions around her, Bianca's face grew darker and darker.
As the Taylor family's daughter, she had always been the center of attention, but never in such an embarrassing way.
People were saying she had poor people's blood running through her veins, that her original background was humble, that she had taken everything that belonged to Isabella. These words stabbed into her heart like knives.
Why?
Why wasn't she the Taylor family's biological daughter?
Why was it Isabella, such a fool, who was the Taylor family's biological daughter?
This world was just too unfair!
"Bianca, don't take what they're saying to heart."
Zachary Baker walked beside her, noticing something was wrong and speaking with gentle concern.
Bianca clenched her fists, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Why are they saying these things about me? I didn't know anything when I was born. If I could choose, who wouldn't want to stay with their real parents?"
"So this isn't your fault." Zachary looked at her gently, reaching out to wipe the tears from the corner of her eyes, his movements as graceful as a prince from a fairy tale.
And Bianca, wearing her school uniform skirt, with long straight legs beneath it and a pure, cute face, looked like a princess from a fairy tale.
The two of them were truly a perfect match.
"Don't blame yourself."
He knew Bianca was sensitive and kind-hearted.
But none of this was really her fault.
Those people shouldn't talk about Bianca like this—it would only make her feel more guilty.
People who witnessed this scene opened their eyes wide.
"I love seeing them together, it's so beautiful!"
"So handsome! How does Zachary manage to be both handsome and gentle!"
"I want to be Bianca so bad! I want a boyfriend like Zachary!"
Zachary had another identity—he was Stellar High School's campus heartthrob, famously handsome.
Even though everyone knew Bianca was his girlfriend, many girls still desperately wrote him love letters, loving him to the point of obsession.
After comforting Bianca, Zachary walked her to her classroom door.
There were two international classes—International Class 1 and International Class 2.
The two of them weren't in the same class.
Zachary returned to Class 2 and glanced at his desk and drawer, which were, as expected, stuffed full of various gifts and love letters.
With an expressionless face, Zachary picked them up one by one and threw them in the trash, as practiced as if he were eating a meal.
As for those love letters, he couldn't be bothered to even glance at them.
He clearly already had a girlfriend, yet these people still sent him love letters. He didn't know what they were thinking.
"Zachary, is it true?" A few guys came over, excitedly gathering around his desk. "I heard your girlfriend isn't the Taylor family's biological daughter?"
Zachary didn't deny it, just gave a light acknowledgment.
His dad had gone to the Taylor family to break off the engagement over this, but he didn't agree.
He didn't care whether Bianca was the Taylor family's biological daughter or not.
Bianca was well-educated, sensible, and excellent. She could play piano and sing, and she wasn't intimidated at any international events. She'd grown up in the Taylor family all these years, was from his social circle, and had lots of common topics with him.
Wasn't this exactly what distinguished a rich girl from an ordinary person?
So in his eyes, even if Bianca wasn't the Taylor family's biological daughter, she was still a true rich girl.
Suddenly someone spoke up: "Zachary, since that Isabella is the Taylor family's daughter, shouldn't you switch girlfriends? The engagement should belong to Isabella."
A group of people started making noise. "Zachary, I heard that Isabella is really beautiful! Even prettier than Bianca!"
"Since the Taylor family's real daughter is back now, she must want to take back the engagement!"
"Two girls fighting over one guy—what a show!"
"I'm looking forward to it!"
Several guys looked at him eagerly. "Zachary, have you met that Isabella? Are you in touch?"
Zachary frowned. "She won't be able to take back this engagement."
The only person he would marry was Bianca.
That Isabella—sure, she was the Taylor family's biological daughter, but what difference was there from a knockoff?
Coming from the mountains, no matter how pretty she was, she'd been ruined by her upbringing.
Did she understand music? Did she know about wine? Did she know how many ways you could cook a steak? Could she speak international English? Could she solve equations?
Did she know social etiquette? Did she know what expensive designer brands made women's formal wear?
She didn't understand anything, couldn't do anything.
"But Zachary, I heard she's really gorgeous—everyone who's seen her says so!"
"If she goes after you, can you resist?"
They also wanted to see her for themselves.
Zachary didn't even lift an eyelid, his tone flat. "Are you guys bored or something?"
He hadn't even met Isabella and had no idea what she looked like.
How pretty could she be anyway? Weren't they all the same—same faces, same bodies, all looks with no substance!
"No matter how much she chases me, I'll never agree!" Zachary crumpled the last love letter from his drawer into a ball and tossed it aside, saying coldly.
