Chapter 446: Can the Seven Families Turn the Tide
Hearing Raven's words, Manuel's brow furrowed tightly.
He looked at Raven and said coldly, "Tell your people to stop!"
Raven sneered, "The match isn't over yet. The show has just begun, and the fun part is still to come."
As soon as Raven finished speaking, the Whispering Sect members on the stage became even more vicious in their attacks.
They kicked the helpless members of the Jordan family around like soccer balls on a field, their intention to humiliate them clearly obvious.
Manuel took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "Raven, what exactly are you trying to do?"
"What am I trying to do..." Raven narrowed his eyes and smiled, "I'm not planning to do anything. What, can't stand watching anymore? How about you get on your knees and beg me? If you do, I'll have them stop. How about that?"
"Raven, how dare you!"
The Jordan family's Grand Elder, Otha Jordan, stood up furiously.
He raised his hand, about to destroy the stage directly!
"Trying to do the same thing twice?"
Along with the deep voice coming from Raven's mouth, an even sharper force shot out from his hand, directly forcing Otha back.
The aftershock of these two forces impacted many people and knocked over quite a few tables and chairs around them.
Everyone gasped.
Otha wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, glaring at Raven with hatred, and was ready to strike again.
Just then, Robbie's stern voice rang out: "Enough!"
He looked at Otha, then at Raven, and said coldly, "Since this is a competition between the younger generation, the elders should stay out of it!"
"Then make them stop! The Jordan family has already conceded defeat. Don't seriously injure our participants anymore!" Otha said urgently.
Delbert noticed the dispute below the stage. A cold smile flashed in his eyes, then he glanced at Raven and said, "Raven, don't argue with them. Let's just return this bunch of trash to them!"
With that, he curled his lips, then grabbed a Jordan family member by the collar. First, he violently raised his hand and broke the member's sternum, then threw him off the stage like garbage.
This was an even more blatant humiliation to the Jordan family.
However, Manuel couldn't care about that right now.
"Quick, go help the injured!" Manuel said hurriedly.
He personally ran over and helped the Jordan family member who had been thrown off the stage up from the ground. Seeing the young man's body without a single uninjured spot, now a bloody mess, a flash of grief passed through Manuel's eyes.
He somewhat regretted letting these people go on stage. Perhaps if they had conceded defeat early on, they wouldn't have ended up like this.
The Jordan family members were kicked off the stage one after another, their injuries getting worse and worse, too horrible to look at.
When the last Jordan family member was thrown off the stage, the host immediately announced:
"First match, The Whispering Sect wins, the Jordan family is eliminated!"
"After a short break, the second match will begin, The Whispering Sect versus the Fife family. Will the Fife family participants please prepare to enter the stage?"
Just then, Robbie looked toward the Fife family and said, "Rocco, if the Fife family plans to withdraw, there's still time. As long as you haven't entered the stage, you can withdraw at any time."
Rocco just snorted coldly, "Withdraw? The Fife family doesn't do such shameful things."
His goal was first place in this ancient martial arts competition.
Whether it was the Whispering Sect or the Powell family, he had never taken them seriously!
Rocco gave Declan, Delbert, and the others on stage a meaningful glance.
He'd properly deal with these gutter rats from The Whispering Sect in a moment!
Robbie looked at Rocco deeply, "Since you're not withdrawing, then please have the Fife family prepare. You'll enter the stage in ten minutes."
Below the stage, the Fife family members were ready for action.
Phaedra's face showed no trace of fear. She looked at Declan and Delbert on stage with exceptionally determined eyes.
Isabella had developed some interest in Phaedra and asked her, "Aren't you scared?"
The scenes on stage just now had been quite bloody and brutal.
"Scared?" Phaedra acted like she'd heard a joke. "You think I'm as timid as you? The Fife family has never known what fear feels like."
With that, Phaedra looked at Isabella with disdain and said harshly, "After I beat The Whispering Sect, then beat your Powell family, first place will belong to the Fife family!"
Isabella smiled, "Why do I feel like you guys can't win?"
Hearing this, Phaedra's expression immediately became displeased.
"Isabella, can you not talk? If you can't talk properly, then just shut your mouth, okay?"
How could she possibly lose?
The ten minutes passed quickly.
The Fife family members, led by Phaedra, leaped directly onto the stage.
Delbert glanced at Phaedra and the others, his eyes full of contempt. "Here comes another bunch of trash."
"Who are you calling trash?" Phaedra's expression turned cold.
"Aren't all you seven great families trash?" Delbert stared at Phaedra with an ambiguous look and smiled sinisterly, "You might as well concede defeat now. I won't show any mercy later!"
Delbert's words were full of threats and provocation. Phaedra retorted, "You fat guy, such big talk."
At Phaedra's words, Delbert's expression changed. "Who are you calling fat?"
"Whoever's the fattest on this stage is the fat guy."
Delbert's face immediately darkened.
He was just slightly overweight.
And he most hated when people made an issue of his weight.
This damned woman.
Delbert's gaze toward Phaedra became increasingly venomous. He'd properly deal with this ugly woman in a moment!
Delbert turned to look at Declan, "Let me deal with this bitch later."
According to The Whispering Sect's previous strategy, the team leader would fight the team leader, and team members would fight team members. Whoever finished their battle first would help other team members. Even if outmatched, they should try their best to hold the opponent back.
The Whispering Sect's team leader was Declan, so Declan should have directly faced the Fife family's team leader, Phaedra.
But now Delbert wanted to personally deal with Phaedra.
Declan rejected Delbert's suggestion, "No, we'll stick to the strategy we agreed on."
Hearing this, Delbert frowned and said coldly, "Are you worried I'm not her match? With this trash, I can handle it."
Declan actually didn't want to change the previously decided strategy, but Delbert was insistent on fighting Phaedra. Declan really didn't want to argue with him, so he relunctantly had to agree.
Anyway, these seven great families seemed to really have no real skills, so there probably wouldn't be any problems.
Everyone was looking forward to this match between the Fife family and The Whispering Sect.
Phaedra was the pride of the entire Fife family. As the most talented among her peers, the only one who could compare to her was Walter from the Powell family. Phaedra and Walter were the outstanding ones among the younger generation!
The Whispering Sect had just shown complete disregard for the seven great families, and their attacks on the Guest family and the Jordan family in the previous matches had been so cruel. Many people secretly hoped—could the Fife family turn things around for the seven great families this time?
Time's up.
The host immediately announced: "The match begins!"
"Go to hell!"
In an instant, a cold, ruthless look flashed in Delbert's eyes. His hand carried a powerful force as he swung it directly at Phaedra.
