Chapter 37 Azure Palace Hotel
Gabriel froze in shock.
He couldn't believe Isabella had just kicked him flying that far.
The belated pain spread from his back.
Gabriel gritted his teeth, suffering terribly.
"What's going on here?" Olivia had just rushed over to see the mess everywhere, completely confused.
"Mom!" Bianca burst into tears.
She couldn't believe Isabella had been so ruthless with Gabriel. Seeing Isabella walking toward her with that cold expression, she was scared out of her wits and immediately threw herself into Olivia's arms, afraid she'd be the next one kicked flying.
"Mom, I don't know why, Isabella and Gabriel got into a fight... It's all my fault, I accidentally fell down."
"Isabella!" Olivia's gaze instantly turned ice cold, full of disgust. "Fighting in the house - are you trying to turn everything upside down?"
What an ill-mannered thing, so terrible!
So bad!
How could she have given birth to such a daughter?
Isabella looked up at her, her voice very cold. "If Gabriel hadn't tried to hit me first, I wouldn't have fought him."
"Even so, you can't do this!" Olivia scolded. "You're a girl - what kind of behavior is this, being so violent? You have no grace of a socialite at all."
"Really?" Isabella raised an eyebrow. "Does having the grace of a socialite mean when someone tries to hit me, I should just stand there and let them?"
"Isabella, you..." Olivia was so angry her chest hurt, unable to speak for a moment.
Isabella didn't even glance at her and headed downstairs.
"Stop right there!"
Only then did Olivia remember the main issue. Staring at Isabella's back, her voice couldn't contain her fury. "Wait! Was that your doing online?"
She'd thought Isabella was a disobedient child, but never imagined she would post things online for everyone to see!
Now everyone knew Bianca wasn't her biological daughter. How was Bianca supposed to face people after this?
Hearing this, Isabella paused. "What thing online? I don't know."
"Everyone knows Bianca isn't our biological daughter!" Olivia said through gritted teeth.
Isabella: "Oh, that's good news?"
Olivia was so angry at her reaction she started cursing. "How can someone be as bad as you? How is Bianca supposed to face people?"
"What does that have to do with me?" Isabella frowned slightly. "Even without this, she still wouldn't be human."
Olivia froze. "You...?"
Isabella ignored her and went downstairs.
When Olivia came to her senses, her face looked terrible.
She grabbed a vase nearby and threw it where Isabella had just been standing.
"You bastard!"
"Where are you going?"
"Come back here!"
"If you dare step out that door today, don't bother coming back!"
She was going to die of anger sooner or later.
——
Half an hour later.
Azure Palace Hotel.
One of the top luxury hotels in Emerald City.
Only people with some wealth could afford to spend money there.
Isabella waited at the entrance for a man wearing a baseball cap.
As they passed each other, two items appeared in her hand.
"Auction entry pass and membership card."
That's what the man had whispered in her ear.
Isabella turned over the entry pass and membership card in her hand.
The invitation should have been issued by the auction organizers, and the membership card was essential for entering and leaving Azure Palace Hotel.
Reportedly, Azure Palace Hotel operated on a membership system - you had to get a card and load money on it to spend there, with a minimum of two hundred thousand dollars.
She looked at the card - it was very new, probably just issued.
When Isabella went in, it wasn't auction time yet.
She found a seat, planning to order some desserts and drinks. Looking at the menu, everything was expensive - a small piece of cake cost a thousand dollars.
But might as well spend the money on the card.
Isabella scanned the dessert section. "One of everything."
She ate desserts and drank beverages while waiting.
Before long, the glass double doors of Azure Palace Hotel opened again to both sides.
Footsteps sounded as a group of men entered.
Leading them was Chase in a black business suit, his features cool and distant, carrying an air of aloof nobility in his every movement.
The men following behind were also dressed in business attire.
The waiter clearly recognized him and stepped forward. "Mr. Taylor, your reserved private room is this way, please follow me."
Chase walked inside, but the next second, his gaze swept past a certain spot and his eyes suddenly darkened.
Isabella sat casually in a corner seat, the table covered with a pile of desserts. She held cake in one hand and a drink in the other, wolfing everything down.
Every movement was so crude!
Not a trace of a socialite's restraint!
Seeing Chase stop, the others also stopped, looking in Chase's direction in confusion, but only saw a girl sitting there.
"Mr. Taylor?"
His assistant called out.
Only then did Chase snap back to attention. "You all go in first. I saw someone I know."
He made a call to Olivia. "I found her. I'll send her back right away."
Chase hung up and walked toward Isabella with a cold expression.
He'd seen everything online, but hadn't had time to deal with it yet. Olivia had just called saying Isabella had left home without permission.
Unexpectedly, shortly after hanging up, Chase spotted Isabella here.
Chase strode over and stopped at the table.
Isabella was looking down. Sensing a shadow fall across the table, she looked up to see Chase in his black suit.
She withdrew her gaze indifferently, wiped her mouth, and picked up the blueberry juice beside her to drink.
Chase's face was dark as he looked down at Isabella from his height, his tone heavy. "Go home!"
Chase's domineering attitude brooked no argument.
Isabella didn't move.
Chase took a deep breath, his tone cold to the extreme. "You posted things online that shouldn't have been posted. Now everyone knows you're the Taylor Family's biological daughter. Are you satisfied?"
"If you have any conscience at all, go home right now. Mom is still waiting for you at home—"
Screech
It was the sound of a chair scraping the floor.
Isabella glanced at her watch and stood up directly, walking quickly toward the second floor.
Chase looked at the sign by the stairway that read "No Entry Without Invitation, Violators Will Face Consequences" and his expression changed dramatically. "Isabella, what are you doing?"
Anyone who'd been here knew that the first floor of Azure Palace Hotel was a restaurant, but the second floor wasn't open to the public.
Supposedly, it often hosted very private activities involving the powerful, military, even underground forces, and gray market dealings.
There were all kinds of rumors - very mysterious.
Chase had been to Azure Palace Hotel many times but didn't know what the second floor was actually for.
He only knew that previously, a guest who'd accidentally wandered into some auction or something on the second floor was treated as a disruptive person by the security personnel there and had his legs broken.
The important thing was, that person was the son of a prominent Emerald City family, yet those people upstairs didn't care at all.
From this, some speculated that the force involved one of the four great families, which was why they were so brazen.
Seeing Isabella's figure disappear, Chase gritted his teeth and chased after her.
Just reaching the second floor, he saw Isabella wandering toward the far end.
"Isabella! Stop right there!" Chase rushed over and grabbed her wrist. In his urgency, his voice was hoarse. "Who told you to come up here? Come downstairs with me."
How could she be so clueless?
Didn't she see what kind of place this was?
Was this somewhere she could just waltz into?
If she offended someone important, the entire Taylor Family might have to pay the price!
