Chapter 360 I Disagree

Chapter 360 I Disagree

The next day, 7:30 AM.

Isabella and Kennedy met up with Domingo and Reid on the first floor of the lab building.

What they needed to do now was first find Jerald to register their team roster and experiment number, then apply for a laboratory.

After knocking on Jerald's office door, Kennedy walked in first.

"Jerald, we're here to register."

Jerald looked up. First, he saw Kennedy and Reid, and his face showed no particular expression. But the next second, when his gaze fell on Isabella standing behind Kennedy, his expression immediately turned cold.

He let out a cold snort but said nothing.

Kennedy was a bit confused by this reaction, not understanding why Jerald was acting this way.

She stepped forward and said to Jerald, "Jerald, Isabella, Reid, Domingo and I are planning to form a team. Our team will be doing experiments together long-term from now on. Please help us register."

Hearing this, Jerald frowned and looked at Kennedy and Reid. "You're planning to have Isabella on your team?"

Kennedy nodded. "That's right."

"I don't agree!" Jerald said coldly, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Kennedy was stunned. "Why?"

She really hadn't expected Jerald to react this way.

Reid beside her also frowned in confusion.

"You're all top students in physics. Why would you want Isabella on your team? Having her with you will only drag you down, you know?" Jerald looked at Kennedy and Reid, saying seriously, "She'll cause nothing but trouble for your team!"

"Jerald, what do you mean?" Kennedy really didn't understand why Jerald's attitude was so intense. "Why do you think she'll cause trouble for our team? Isabella hasn't done anything."

"She hasn't done anything?" Jerald sneered. "You all know about what happened between Saskia and her. There was even an official notice about it!"

Kennedy frowned. "But the one who got the official notice wasn't Isabella, it was Saskia. What does this have to do with Isabella?"

"Then why do you think Saskia didn't delete anyone else's experiment data, but chose to delete Isabella's?" Jerald's gaze swept over Isabella with obvious disgust. "Flies don't land on uncracked eggs. If Isabella hadn't done anything, why would Saskia target her?"

Someone who runs to teachers and the dean over every little thing—how good could she be?

He didn't like Isabella at all now.

Jerald had always thought highly of Kennedy and Reid.

He had high hopes for Kennedy and Reid, hoping they would achieve outstanding results in physics in the future.

He didn't want Kennedy and Reid associating with someone like Isabella at all. He didn't want them to be influenced by Isabella. Isabella was like a piece of rat droppings between two grains of white rice—really an eyesore.

Kennedy frowned deeply as she listened, her voice losing its previous respect and turning cold. "I really can't agree with your victim-blaming theory."

"Saskia's misconduct is Saskia's fault. I don't think Saskia being wrong means Isabella must also be wrong. And you looking at Isabella with such prejudice—does that fit your image as a professor?"

"Kennedy, I'm doing this for your own good!" Jerald said with a stern face, word by word. "In any case, I don't agree to you taking her on. If you team up with anyone else, I have no problem with it, but it just can't be Isabella!"

Kennedy raised an eyebrow. "So teacher, what you're saying is that no one can team up with Isabella? No matter who she teams up with, you'll have a problem with it, right?"

"That's right!" Jerald said impatiently. "Someone like her should just be on a team by herself and not think about harming others!"

Kennedy also said unhappily, "But how can she graduate smoothly if she's on a team by herself? How can she possibly get 120 experiment points by herself? You're directly taking away her right to team up with people and cutting off any possibility of her graduating."

Domingo and Reid beside them both clenched their fists.

They naturally sensed it too—Jerald seemed to have some dissatisfaction with Isabella, so he was using this matter to suppress and target her.

"That's her problem, it has nothing to do with me," Jerald said.

A very heartless and cold tone.

"In that case, I won't be doing any more experiments," Kennedy said.

She looked at Isabella. "Let's go."

Jerald froze.

He suddenly stood up, looking at Kennedy's back. "What do you mean? What do you mean you won't do experiments anymore?"

"Exactly what I said." Kennedy said flatly. "I don't want to graduate anymore. Is that okay?"

Jerald was shocked.

He really hadn't expected Kennedy to say something like this.

"Do you think this is a game?" Jerald's face turned somewhat angry. "Kennedy, you're someone I have high hopes for. I plan to mentor you. In the future, you'll be my graduate student and doctoral student. I think very highly of you!"

Jerald had never taken on graduate students. First, because there were so few students at the Noble Academy to begin with, and even fewer who could graduate smoothly and go on to graduate school. Second, because compared to other professors, his qualifications were too shallow, and those excellent students were unwilling to be his graduate students.

So he urgently needed graduate students, and if he wanted to get good research projects, he had to have graduate students under him—this was one of the requirements.

When school started, he had set his sights on Kennedy—a winner of a bunch of physics awards who had participated in national-level key projects at a young age. She was truly rare.

He had even proactively talked to Kennedy about becoming his graduate student in the future. Kennedy had said she would think about it.

"I'll only do experiments with Isabella," Kennedy said flatly, with a "take it or leave it" attitude. "If you don't let her team up with me, then I really don't want to do any experiments."

Reid was somewhat surprised and glanced at Kennedy.

Kennedy's attitude was this tough?

"Um..." Reid cleared his throat and said, "Since Kennedy doesn't want to do experiments anymore, I won't do them either. After all, I only want to be on a team with Kennedy."

Domingo looked at Reid in surprise.

You're playing it this way?

Domingo cleared his throat, and holding to the principle that friends stick together, also spoke up with a "die together" attitude: "Then I won't do them either. After all, I only want to be Isabella's assistant."

Jerald's face instantly darkened. He stared hard at the three people in front of him.

Finally, he turned to look at Isabella, gritted his teeth, and said, "Fine! Very good!"

So Isabella had some skills after all.

She actually got Kennedy and Reid to be completely devoted to her.

"Since you insist on doing this, what more can I say?" Jerald said coldly.

He knew that both Kennedy and Reid were people Gabriella was paying attention to. If both Kennedy and Reid just gave up on their experiment points, it would attract Gabriella's attention, and then things would get complicated.
