Chapter 260 Surveillance Captured Her
Seraphina clicked into the living room surveillance footage and went through it frame by frame. Suddenly, her hand paused and she hit stop.
In the frame was that woman from Lumaria.
Around 3 AM, Isabella had come out of her room, gone up the spiral staircase to the third floor where Seraphina's bedroom was located, and the last direction she disappeared in was toward Seraphina's bedroom corridor.
"So it was her." Without hesitation, Seraphina sneered coldly and gave a direct order: "Go bring her to me!"
To dare steal something on the Waverly family's turf.
She really had a death wish.
——
Isabella had just finished washing up when she suddenly heard the sound of guards running outside.
The next second, her room door was broken down.
Then she and William were surrounded by guards.
Sterling looked at her coldly: "You woman, you've got some nerve, stealing Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring. I think you have a death wish!"
William saw these people barging in so rudely, his eyes turned cold. He stepped forward to shield Isabella behind him and said to them: "What are you talking about? What crest ring? Who stole Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring?"
Sterling glanced at William and said coldly: "Last night Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring was stolen. When we checked the surveillance, we found that last night, this Miss left her room and went to the main hall, and even went toward Ms. Seraphina Waverly's room! So if she didn't steal the crest ring, who did?"
William frowned and asked Isabella, "Did you leave the room last night?"
Isabella nodded.
Last night, she had indeed left the room and gone to the main hall.
Seeing Isabella admit it, Sterling immediately glared at her: "You shameless woman, Ms. Rosalind Waverly kindly let you stay here, and you repay her by stealing Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring! How ungrateful!"
"If you know what's good for you, hand over the crest ring right now!"
"This must be a misunderstanding." William looked at Sterling and said in a low voice, "She couldn't have stolen Seraphina's crest ring."
"Whether it's a misunderstanding isn't up to you!" Sterling said sternly, "The surveillance caught her, the evidence is clear, what's there to argue about?"
He gave a direct order: "Search this room from top to bottom, don't miss any corner! And their luggage too, search everything! Find Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring!"
William was about to say something when Isabella raised her hand to stop him. "No need."
"Let them search. I didn't take Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring, so naturally they won't find anything."
From the looks of it, the ring theft was probably real, but she hadn't stolen it. She had nothing to hide, so she wasn't afraid of their search.
If they found nothing, it would actually prove her innocence.
William had no choice but to step aside and let them search the room.
Sterling looked at Isabella coldly: "If we find it, you'll be sorry!"
A group of people started searching through the room.
Isabella watched them and said calmly: "I'm not the thief you're looking for. Someone else must have stolen the crest ring."
Sterling didn't want to listen to Isabella.
Still making excuses when death was at her door.
Once he found the crest ring, let's see what she had to say!
Sterling kept a close eye on his men: "Search carefully, make sure you find the crest ring!"
The group turned the room upside down, but found nothing.
"Report, Sterling, we found nothing."
Sterling frowned when he heard this.
How could there be nothing?
He glared at Isabella unhappily and said coldly: "Tell the truth, where exactly did you hide Ms. Seraphina Waverly's crest ring?"
Isabella said flatly: "I already told you, I didn't steal the crest ring."
Sterling's face looked unpleasant. He hadn't expected to find nothing.
It seemed he could only take this woman to Seraphina for her to deal with!
"You're coming with me to see Ms. Seraphina Waverly!"
Isabella sighed helplessly and followed them out of the room.
In the hall, when Seraphina saw the guards bringing Isabella before her, disgust flashed in her eyes, and she immediately raised her hand.
"What do you think you are? How dare you steal my crest ring!"
Her palm cut through the air, heading straight for Isabella's face.
William's expression darkened. He grabbed Seraphina's wrist and looked at her coldly: "Ms. Seraphina Waverly, what do you think you're doing?"
Just then, Rosalind came back too.
She didn't expect to walk in and see this scene. Startled, she hurried over to pull Seraphina back.
"Sister, why are you hitting people?"
Seraphina pulled her hand back, her eyes cold: "Rosalind, what kind of trash have you brought home? Doing sneaky things, and stealing from me. This blind fool stole the Waverly family's crest ring - slapping her once is getting off easy."
She really hadn't expected this girl from Lumaria to be so disgusting. A lowly person who dared to sneak around on the Waverly family's turf.
Rosalind's eyes flashed with disbelief: "Steal your crest ring, how is that possible?"
Although she didn't like Isabella either, she felt Isabella shouldn't have that kind of nerve - she couldn't possibly be so bold as to steal things in the Waverly family's castle.
"Nothing's impossible, the surveillance caught it all. I already had the guards search her room." Seraphina's face was cold as she held out her hand to Sterling: "Give me what you found!"
Seraphina automatically assumed Sterling must have found the crest ring, since besides Isabella, there shouldn't be anyone else.
It had to be her!
Sterling looked at Seraphina's outstretched hand, a bit embarrassed: "Ms. Seraphina Waverly, we didn't find the crest ring in her room."
Seraphina's expression immediately changed: "How is that possible?"
Seeing this, Rosalind quickly tried to smooth things over: "Sister, I told you this is a misunderstanding."
Seraphina's face was still ugly.
How could they not have found it?
She looked coldly at Isabella: "Where did you hide the crest ring?"
Isabella frowned: "Are you done yet? I already told you it wasn't me. I think you should properly investigate the guards and servants in your castle. Since no one entered or left the castle last night, doesn't that mean any one of them could be the person who stole the crest ring?"
"Ms. Taylor, I'm sorry." Rosalind said apologetically, "My sister is just anxious, that's why she's acting this way. Don't take it to heart. How about you go upstairs first, and I'll try to calm her down."
"Who said she could leave?"
Seraphina's icy gaze fell on Isabella, looking down at her threateningly: "Are you going to tell me where you hid it yourself, or should I lock you up and beat you until you confess?"
