Chapter 206 Deliberately Waiting for Her to Bump Into Him
Isabella still ignored him, not even looking at him this time. It was as if she hadn't heard him at all—her eyes were fixed only on the traffic light countdown.
The man was so angry that he burst out swearing
He couldn't understand it. Couldn't this woman see?
The car he was sitting in was a Rolls-Royce Ghost, and it was expensive!
Plenty of women couldn't take their eyes off his car when they saw it, fighting each other to climb into his bed.
And this woman was completely unmoved?
She was basically treating him like he didn't exist.
Bobby Owens stared at Isabella's drool-worthy figure and face, about to say something else, when the light turned green.
The red motorcycle shot forward, blasting exhaust fumes right in his face.
Bobby was instantly so angry his lungs were about to explode.
"Ezra, write down that woman's license plate number. Within one day, I want all her information."
Ezra wiped away some sweat.
The car had a dashcam—they could pull up the footage later and trace her through the license plate.
But he still felt he had to remind Bobby, "Mr. Owens, that's not a good idea. That woman..."
"I told you to look into it, so look into it. What's with all the talk?"
"Yes." Ezra didn't dare say anything more.
He just wanted to say that the woman's motorcycle didn't look cheap—she probably wasn't an ordinary person.
Ezra silently continued driving.
Bobby's mind was still fixated on Isabella's beautiful face.
In all these years, this was the first time he'd seen a woman like this—so beautiful it really made him want to kiss her.
It would be great if this girl could be his.
The car continued forward for a while longer when suddenly Ezra looked ahead and said, "Mr. Owens, it's that girl from before."
They'd run into her again.
By the time Bobby looked up at the sound, the Rolls-Royce had already passed the red motorcycle, leaving it behind.
Bobby watched the red motorcycle in the rear, moving along the road at an extremely slow speed, and narrowed his eyes slightly. "Ezra, find a way to make her rear-end us."
"What?" Ezra froze for a moment.
But he quickly caught on.
He knew what Bobby wanted to do.
Although he didn't really support Bobby doing this, he had to follow orders.
"Alright."
There was an intersection up ahead.
Through the rearview mirror, Ezra saw Isabella's left turn signal light up, and quickly came up with a plan.
——
Isabella took a phone call.
Listening to the voice in her Bluetooth earpiece, she slowed down her speed, riding slowly along the road.
It was a bank calling to pitch investment products. After declining their offer, she hung up.
There was an intersection ahead. She'd turn left and drive about another kilometer to reach the hospital.
Isabella steered the bike to turn left.
Just then, a black sedan that was slowly decelerating suddenly appeared in her field of vision.
Caught off guard, she was startled and hit the rear brake while squeezing the brake lever.
But the distance was too close—there was no time at all.
The motorcycle crashed into the rear of the Rolls-Royce.
Fortunately, she'd hit the brakes, so the impact wasn't too severe. Isabella steadied the motorcycle.
But the 300-pound bike still left an obvious dent in the Rolls-Royce's rear panel.
Isabella frowned and was about to get off the motorcycle when she saw the sedan's rear door open. Coming out from inside was, surprisingly, the man who had tried to hit on her earlier.
Bobby got out of the car, adjusted his suit jacket, and looked at the girl with a stern face. "What's going on? How do you drive?"
Isabella looked at the man's face, thinking about how the sedan had suddenly slowed down just now, and immediately understood.
He'd deliberately waited for her to crash into him?
"You suddenly slowed down," Isabella said calmly.
"There was an electric scooter trying to cross the road just now. If I didn't slow down, should I have just hit it?" Bobby said righteously.
There had indeed been a vehicle by the roadside earlier, with its front end sticking out. Although Bobby knew that vehicle wasn't really going to cross the road, he could totally claim it was.
Isabella stared at Bobby. "So what do you want?"
"Since you're a woman, I don't want to make things difficult for you." Bobby looked at Isabella, but he already had a plan in mind. "But no matter what, if a car is damaged, there needs to be compensation. The thing is, my car is very expensive."
Bobby ran his hand over the luxurious car body, saying proudly, "There are probably only a few of these cars in all of Emerald City."
"Rolls-Royce Ghost, ever heard of it? 400,000 dollars."
Hearing this, Isabella glanced at this 400,000-dollar Rolls-Royce.
It was a bit expensive—actually the same price as the motorcycle she was riding.
Seeing Isabella's silence, Bobby knew she was shocked.
Anyone hearing this price would probably be scared.
So Bobby continued, "Such an expensive car, damaged to this extent—the repair costs would easily be over a hundred thousand dollars. I know you don't have that kind of money, so I won't make things difficult for you."
He directly pulled out his phone and held it in front of Isabella. "Come on, add my contact info. Come keep me company once a week from now on, and I'll pretend this never happened."
Isabella looked at him speechlessly.
After all that beating around the bush, this was what the man was after?
Bobby raised his eyebrows at Isabella, knowing she must be panicking now. She must be scared by the price, completely at a loss now.
Bobby comforted her, "Don't be afraid. I won't make you pay compensation. This money is just pocket change to me, as long as you take good care of me."
He wasn't after money anyway—he was after her.
As he spoke, Bobby moved closer to Isabella.
Isabella slapped him across the face.
Bobby was stunned.
He stared at Isabella in disbelief. "What are you doing?"
Why did she hit him?
Isabella looked at him calmly. "I don't need to pay you a single cent."
Hearing this, Bobby immediately became furious. "What makes you think you don't need to pay? You rear-ended my car! Do you know that in this accident you're fully at fault? You have no sense of the law at all. If we call the traffic police, you'll have to pay me over a hundred thousand dollars according to the repair bill!"
He simply hadn't expected the girl wouldn't follow his plan at all. According to the plan, she should have been flustered and agreed to his demands, because there was no way she could come up with that much money!
Isabella looked at Bobby and smiled faintly. "Then go ahead and call the traffic police."
Isabella stood by the motorcycle, arms crossed, looking completely disdainful. This scene was nothing like what Bobby had imagined.
Facing such a huge compensation claim, she wasn't afraid? She was directly telling him to call the police? Did she know what calling the police meant?
Bobby completely lost his temper. "Since you're so ungrateful, I'll just have to let the traffic police deal with you!"
