Chapter 195 Who Allowed You to Touch Isabella's Things?
"Isabella, what's going on between you and Kieran? Why is he throwing your stuff around?" Gabriel asked, confused.
Isabella walked down the stairs, glanced at Gabriel casually, "If he wants to throw things, let him. His hands are his own, there's nothing I can do about it."
Gabriel: "......"
He couldn't understand why Isabella could be so indifferent when Kieran was throwing out her luggage. If it were him, he'd be furious by now.
Kieran ran upstairs again, and when he came back down, he was carrying even more stuff.
He threw it all out.
At that moment, Isabella's belongings were scattered all over the ground at the villa entrance.
Clothes, shoes, books, laptop, wigs, bags...
A complete mess.
Isabella watched his actions, remaining completely unmoved the whole time.
But Gabriel really couldn't stand it anymore.
He rushed over and grabbed Kieran's hand to stop him, "Stop it! Don't throw anymore!"
A flash of surprise crossed Kieran's eyes, "What do you mean? You're taking Isabella's side?"
Gabriel looked coldly at Kieran and simply said, "She's my sister."
Kieran was even more shocked.
Sister?
On Isabella's first day back, Gabriel had shown even more dislike for Isabella than he did.
"Gabriel, are you crazy? Accepting Isabella as your sister?"
"Not accepting - she already is," Gabriel said.
"What?"
Kieran looked at Gabriel in disbelief.
Gabriel used to say he absolutely wouldn't accept Isabella as his sister, but now his attitude had done a complete 180.
How could this be?
What happened to Gabriel? Had he lost his mind?
Kieran opened his mouth to question Gabriel, but just then, Hayden's stern, displeased voice came from the stairway:
"Why all this noise so late at night? What are you doing?"
When Kieran saw Hayden coming downstairs, he wasn't afraid at all.
He clenched his fists and quickly said, "Dad! Don't make Bianca kneel outside anymore. Bianca's health isn't good, she won't be able to take it."
Hayden's gaze fell on Kieran's face, his expression darkening, "Kieran, you just got back. Don't get involved in Bianca's situation, and there's no need to plead for her."
"But..." Kieran opened his mouth to say more, but Hayden cut him off.
"Kieran, what's all that outside?"
Hayden squinted at the mess by the door.
It was too far away to see clearly, but it looked like a pile of garbage.
Kieran wasn't afraid of Hayden knowing, and said directly, "Dad, that's all Isabella's luggage. She wouldn't listen, so I threw all her stuff out."
He dared to say this so directly because in his mind, Hayden didn't really care about Isabella either.
On Isabella's first day back home, when Gabriel bullied Isabella, Hayden had just ignored it and didn't intervene.
So Kieran didn't think throwing out Isabella's luggage was a big deal.
He thought about it and still wanted to plead for Bianca, "Dad, could you please—"
Hayden raised his hand and slapped him across the face.
"You bastard!"
Hayden simply couldn't believe that this idiot Kieran had dared to throw out Isabella's luggage.
His blood pressure shot up in anger, his face flushing red.
That slap left Kieran's mind completely blank, his face burning with pain.
He stared at Hayden in disbelief, "Dad! Why did you hit me?"
He had just thrown out Isabella's things - over such a small matter, Hayden actually slapped him?
What was this about?
Hayden gave him another slap, "I'm hitting you because you deserve it!"
Kieran was hit so hard that blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. Tasting the blood in his mouth, he was completely shocked.
But Hayden couldn't be bothered with him anymore. He hurried to the door and, sure enough, saw Isabella's things scattered all over the ground. His heart jumped.
This was bad!
Really bad!
He felt like killing Kieran.
How did he end up with such a bastard son?
So Hayden strode back over and kicked Kieran hard, knocking him to the ground, "Who told you to touch Isabella's things? Who told you to do this?"
Kieran didn't understand why Hayden was so angry, like an enraged lion.
Sitting on the ground, he shouted unwillingly, "Dad! Is this really necessary? You're actually hitting me over Isabella?"
Hayden lowered his voice and roared, "What do you mean 'over Isabella'? She's my own daughter!"
Kieran froze.
He looked at Hayden in disbelief, not understanding why even Hayden had become like this.
What had happened while he was away?
Why did everyone suddenly start protecting Isabella?
"But she's just an outsider! She didn't grow up with us, she's not really part of this family at all. Why are you all..."
Another slap.
This was the third slap, harder than the previous two, louder than the previous two.
Kieran's whole face was whipped ninety degrees to the side. The moment the slap landed, the muscles in his face seemed to lose all feeling.
The air fell into silence.
After a moment, Hayden scolded with a dark expression, "Let me hear you talk nonsense again and see what happens! I think you've become completely lawless, saying and doing whatever you want! Isabella is part of this family. If you don't like it, then you can leave!"
Kieran never imagined Hayden would treat him this way over Isabella. His eyes immediately turned red with anger.
Before he could say anything, Hayden dragged him in front of Isabella, pressed down on Kieran's head and ordered, "Apologize to your sister!"
Kieran gritted his teeth in hatred and said nothing.
"Apologize!" Hayden's patience ran out.
Kieran glared at Isabella and said bitterly, "I'm sorry."
Why was this happening?
Kieran felt both wronged and angry.
This family had completely changed. Everyone had changed.
Hayden looked at Isabella, "Isabella, don't take what Kieran did to heart. Dad has already dealt with him for you. He'll never dare treat you like this again."
Isabella said nothing and turned to go upstairs.
Hayden immediately gave orders, "Collect all of Isabella's things and take them up to her. Don't keep any dirty clothes. Her valuables - not a single one can be missing when you put them back in her room!"
——
Bianca had only been kneeling for two hours when she fainted.
Fortunately, Kieran was nearby when she collapsed. He carried her back to the bedroom and called for a doctor. The doctor said it was unconsciousness caused by exhaustion.
It wasn't until 4 AM that Bianca woke up again.
She looked at the red swelling on Kieran's face and paused, "Kieran, your face..."
The place where she was punished to kneel wasn't at the main entrance of the villa. She had heard the argument between Kieran and Hayden, but couldn't make out exactly what had happened.
"My face is fine," Kieran said.
"I just can't figure it out."
Kieran clenched his fists, "Why has Dad's attitude toward Isabella changed so drastically? Why is everyone on Isabella's side?"
